The AP are thinking of making some coffee but are not willing to buy any sugar. this is from a source of a friend of a friend of a friend of the tea lady.

Believable21 Unbelievable5

Thats ok i dont have sugar lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Typical...ive heard that the silver spoon sugar has been chosen but the deal is being done through waitrose as we'll only make stellar signings but the ap will not meet the higher price demands of waitrose but SM will not accept any thing of a lesser quality from a lower league store such as farmfoods or aldi

Agree0 Disagree0

Pure Class lol..........

Agree0 Disagree0

I heard they let the tea lady go on a free, and was looking to replace her with a chimp, but not willing to pay the two bananas to aquire the chimps services.

Agree0 Disagree0

The AP are bringing out their own coffee brand. They've named it City Ground.

Agree0 Disagree0

In a nutshell spot on.

talks between fulham and forest have started

Believable17 Unbelievable5

Ok here is some news about our so called AP who i believe are doing well;
News is Wayne Routledge was going to be part of an offer. Forest were prepared to pay£1.5 million and offer Wayne 9 grand a week. Now here is the intresting part?
Newcastle were playing hard ball and wanted Lewis McGugan as a straight swap. Thanks to our AP(and i say good on them) they told Alan Pardew where to go and was adament that Lewis was part of the future of Nottingham forest. All this was happening without Wayne knowing about it Now Newcastle are giving Forest the cold shoulder and offered Wayne to Leicester. With sven almost spent up and having too many players already Sven told them he was intrested in the player but could not guarentee wayne a place in the starting Eleven. Now it looks like Wayne still wants to join us but his hands are tied and his future is being decided by Newcastle instead of himself. I dont know what will happen now? Maybe we will sign him or maybe we wont? either way Steve has made a list and hopes to be announcing 7 players this week. all this info is true make of it what you will.

Believable20 Unbelievable5

So thats why he said on twitter " i wish i had a crystal ball " Very intresting hmm?
Somehow i think we will sign him i just have a strong feeling that all will be well with forest.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sounds perfectly plausable from all the press information and all the info i know

Agree0 Disagree0

Sounds spot on. Everybody knows newcastle owner is a big head who thinks he can play god. wayne should just get a train to Nottingham and demands he stays .

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would he want a crystal ball? wont normal ones do?

Agree0 Disagree0

That explaines why they offered 1.5 million for Lewis. it was a cover story for them hoping it would be hush hush. newcastle should be fined for tapping up our players?

Agree0 Disagree0

One of the best summaries I have heard on here. Sounds perfect.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wht a load of tosh, how do you know this........crystal ball, mate nobody knows anything unless you are part of the AP??

Hank Steinbrenner is trying to buy Nottingham Forest, Steinbrenner part owns the New York Yankees, this will be in the press shortly
According to our mole

Believable11 Unbelievable18

Who? Adrian?

Agree0 Disagree0

So does that mean I a few seasons we can also go to games wearing yellow and green scarves {Ed014's Note - No. Yellow and Green were not Forest's original colours and we were not called a different name.}

Agree0 Disagree0

While this is clearly bull started by one of the freeforest freaks (liverpool=red sox. so forest=yankees), they should have checked out the profile of the guy before they selected his name for their rumour .

He's not a pleasant chap. I doubt he even knows what soccer is.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jul 2011 22:46:11
If, and I mean if, the rumour about the Steinbrenners is true I would be so happy. This family own the New York Yankees and are mega rich. New team, Premiership football and a new stadium would surely follow. Fingers crossed

Believable2 Unbelievable19

So relieved he's got a number plate...by the way wot were you doing hanging round a 2.2m house? casing the joint?

Maybe he could be buying it with his new wage, i know for a fact he used to share an apartment with McGoldrick

Agree0 Disagree0

American Hank Steinbrenner is trying to buy Nottingham Forest, whether Doughty will sell is another matter, Steinbrenner as a soft spot for the club having watched them a few times in their European cup day's, he was interested in the club in 2007 when they were in the 1st Division but admitted he preferred a premiership club, he now sees forest as a good bet for the premiership with the right investment, this will be in the press shortly

Have just heard that near the end of the window mcclaren will bring in 4 top loan players, he cannot do this until the 25 man squads are names. He will use all his contacts e.g sir Alex. A lot the deals will apparently not involve any wages just regular football and must play over 25 games if not injured. There will 7 signings iminantly with a further 3 in a week or 2. List of signings currently in negotiations now are -
Routledge
Greening
Shorey
Mattock
Barnes
Boateng
Goodwillie
Kenny miller has offers from us and rangers are considering a bid.

BBC Sport.
Well done Forest & Mark Arther - you keep taking your time & dragging your feet

They're welcome to Konchesky - woeful player on loan for us last season. If we don't get Routledge, so we'll fine somone else

Agree0 Disagree0

He(Koncheski) hasn't signed. It just says that Fester are interested in him We need to get in there first this time...... Come on Forest, lets get him

Agree0 Disagree0

Routledge is NOT going. Source: Twitter.

STEVE MCCLAREN TO SWOOP FOR JONATHAN GREENING

STEVE McCLAREN will bid £600,000 for Jonathan Greening to get him to link up with George Boateng at Nottingham Forest. He said: "I want role models because the squad is relatively young."

TO ME IT'S SAYING SM WANTS JONATHAN GREENING TO LINK UP WITH GEORGE BOATENG AT NOTTINGHAM FOREST

Believable12 Unbelievable3

I can understand Jonathan Greening, probably a good signing if it happens, but George Boateng? Can't see that would be a good move, didn't he not do so well and just resign from a club in Azerbijaan? Doesn't sound like a player we want at this stage..

Agree0 Disagree0

I KNOW BECAUSE BOATENG'S HOW OLD 35 OR SOMMET LIKE THAT HE'S TOO OLD WE NEED SOME YOUNG EXPERIENCED PLAYER/GOOD LEADER I THINK GREENING WOULD DO A MILLION TIMES BETTER THAN BOATENG

Agree0 Disagree0

'SWOOP' - I'd call it more of a 'STAGGER'

Steve McClaren is desperately trying to convince former West Ham man Dean Ashton to come out of retirement and sign a 1 year contract. Ashton hasn't played since retiring 2 years ago.

Believable4 Unbelievable18

Sadly Deans career ended mate, with apperently no chance of him playing again.

Agree0 Disagree0

Never

Agree0 Disagree0

BS and wouldn't want him anyway. He was an excellent striker, but an awful injury doomed him, shame really.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats not allowed as he has claimed insurance for injury, and therefore can't play full time football again, good try though, better than the usual rubbish we see on here lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Behave

Agree0 Disagree0

If you remember ashtons ankle was so badly damaged his bones had to be fused so movement is only in 1 direction so dream on mate how can he still play football

Forest want to sign Billy sharp, great player and i think he would do well and be the 20+ goalscorer a season that we need

Believable16 Unbelievable8

Hope not He's good playing for these small clubs (Scunthorpe, doncster) but can't handle it at a bigger club like sheff utd. Personally I think he'll struggle at forest.

Kenny Miller is set to sign for Nottingham Forest, thought to be in the region of £800k, as his mate Kris Boyd told him it was a good set-up. I'd take it if they gave us Mcgugan as well, but Kenny's past it now so they're welcome to him.

Rangers fan

Believable3 Unbelievable21

Why would we give you Mcgugan miller dont play for the huns

Agree0 Disagree0

Lesta will probably get him if he's past it and has a huge wage bill...

routledge has stated he has never spoke with leicester - where do papers get there stories from. he wanted 22k a week we wouldnt budge on 15

Believable13 Unbelievable9

I would have believed this until you put that he wanted 22k a week

Agree0 Disagree0

He doesn't want 22k. Although you're right about the rest of it, I bet the tabloids know that Leicester are putting ridiculous money in for players and saw that a decent midfielder wasn't playing for anyone, and then put 2+2 and got 4, 056.

Agree0 Disagree0

Freddy Adu was tipped to be the next world-beating star when he was 14. Moved to benfica in 2007 and has never lived up to the expectation and has been loaned out most his career to small clubs in portugal, greece and Turkey. Lets hope he does come to us and all the stuff about marther mucking up his contract is a rumour too. proven championship player and good mates with dex aint he?

Believe what you will but Guy Moussi is stalling on signing a new three year contract to wait to see if forests ambitions match his. He is waiting to see who the club brings in in the upcoming week before making a decision which will be between us and direby. No prem clubs have offered him a contract yet although everton have expressed interest.

I hear he is also concerned that he will not be first team with holding midfielders greening and boateng likely to come in in the next few days

Believable5 Unbelievable2

So he wants to make sure that we're signing quality palyers but at the same time worried that said quality players don't threaten his place in the team.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jul 2011 14:45:54
According to Newsnow, Derby county are leading the chase for Guy Moussi's signature- Much to Steve McClarens and the fans annoyance- Never mind signing players- we can't even keep the ones we've got- McGugan linked heavily with Newcastle and Chambers being tailed by reading- The future looks grim for the Reds

Believable8 Unbelievable5

But we haven't "got" Moussi. We HAD him but his contract expired. I'd love to see him sign a new contract (even though he has missed some pre-season) but at the moment he isn't officially our player Just wanted to clear that up

Agree0 Disagree0

A: Newsnow is not a source. B: No sources it is pointing to say anything remotely like what you've just said. Derby fan again, move on.

Agree0 Disagree0

I really really doubt mccgugan and chambo are going. its not comparable with moussi as he is technically a free agent and is entitled to talk to any club, but i very much doubt we'll be actively selling 2 of our best players.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jul 2011 13:36:17
Just received this from someone supposedly in the know (make of that what you will): "It seems we had agreed everything for Routlidge. McClaren was happy we had agreed to sign what he called a Must Sign player. Newcastle was happy, we knew that he d asked for 12,000 a week. He wanted to come, we d agreed a signing on fee etc. Passed a medical etc.
And then it came to signing the contract. And Mark Arthur had put a wage down of 8,000 a week and refused to budge. Hence he s not coming to Forest, He s going to Leicester instead..."

Believable25 Unbelievable21

IF this is true, McClaren should walk, or Marthur should be sacked - FACT

Agree0 Disagree0

Ive heard the exact same thing mate MA OUT

Agree0 Disagree0

When oh when are the fans gonna club together and voice our opin outside the main entrance and get this useless pr*ck MA out??
I can truely believe that this 8k/wk actually happened

Agree0 Disagree0

MA is a walking leper, the man is no good for our club what so ever

Doughty grow a set and sack this idiot

Agree0 Disagree0

This rubbish no even forest do business like that

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, if it is true then McClaren should walk, Marthur should be fired or the Forest fans should boycott the first game of the season in protest. i love Forest but MA is getting beyond a joke. Voting with our feet might be the only way...

Agree0 Disagree0

That's copied word for word from twitter, from a guy who's not all that 'in the know'.

Saying that though I do agree that MA has seriously messed up with the transfers this summer, just like he did last year

Agree0 Disagree0

If this is true then mcClaren should walk

Agree0 Disagree0

This is garbage, it's just MA bashing.

Agree0 Disagree0

When oh when are all those bashers going to
a) put their hands in their pockets and give 25k per week to supplement wages
b) go to Meadow Lane once the club has paid the wages they want them to pay and go under
c) accept the club has to be run on an even keel - have they not looked into the future finances of the football league??

I'm as frustrated as anyone at the lack of signings - Platty made loads of signings, paid the wages they wanted then watched as the club sank deeper and deeper

Agree0 Disagree0

Probably the biggest load of rubbish I have ever read.

Agree0 Disagree0

Everyone should stop taking this stuff about "people in the know" so seriously. I'd imagine the only people in the room (if this 'contract signing' even happened) were Routledge, his agent, McClaren and Forest's legal team (perhaps including Arthur), how likely is it really that the first thing one of these guys does is reveal what went on to Joe Public? Who reveals the wage details at all and risk being gazumped by another club? Utter Rubbish.

Secondly, like it or not, we're a Championship club. It's common knowledge that Routledge is surplus to requirements at Newcastle. Perhaps, just perhaps, his agent has been touting him around trying to get the best deal he could for his client (and thus boost his own commission). Forest (or whoever) make an offer to the player, the agent tells other interested clubs to start a bidding war. And a bidding war is something we'll never win against a Premiership side (or even a recently relegated club).

I doubt anybody truly "in the know" wouldn't go anywhere near a rumour site.

I'm not defending Arthur, but to imply that he's deliberately sabotaging signings at the 11th hour is ridiculous. Who benefits from that?

Agree0 Disagree0

This post is rubbish, written by a mischief maker, Routledge never got as far as even speaking to Forest, they spoke to his agent, when Forest found out what wages he was after, they never took it any further.

Agree0 Disagree0

Get real people why should mac walk, hes our manager and hes here to do a job.
its MA who should be walking

Agree0 Disagree0

So what we're basically saying is then, as Forest are not prepared to pay the 'going rate' for wages or that little bit extra, we'll just have to drift along in the Championship.(If we can survive) Magic. If I'd known that I could have saved myself 520 on a season ticket

Agree0 Disagree0

Routledge on twitter was questioning the rumours in the paper... this could all be made up rubbish and he may well be joining us. lets not start on this until its confirmed.

Agree0 Disagree0

MA OUT, ND OUT

Agree0 Disagree0

Funny that, on the lesta page it says we offered 15k but he wants 20.

Now this sounds positive

Posted on: Tue 12 Jul 2011

Steve McClaren has confirmed he will be in Portugal for Nottingham Forest's opening pre-season game against a Spurs XI on Friday.

But the Forest boss is delaying leaving for the Algarve as he hopes to welcome players to the club within the next few days.

The Forest squad leave for a five-day stay in Portugal tomorrow morning but McClaren intends to make the journey later in the week.

He explained: "We hope that something will happen in the next two or three days and it is imperative I stay here and hopefully meet players.

"I can't do that job over in Portugal but I hope by Friday we'll have some news on players and I will be at the game."

Agree0 Disagree0

The words "hope" and "hopefully" don't fill you with confidence do they??

Agree0 Disagree0

Err dont call the guy an person - this is a straight lift from the offical forest web site

Agree0 Disagree0

True on the website

Agree0 Disagree0

Well the words "hope" and "hopefully is good enough for me, He can't say it's a 100% certainty we will have a few players in by then.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed

Agree0 Disagree0

i hope this gives all the fans a lift

Believable18 Unbelievable1

I hope so but i don't see that happening

Agree0 Disagree0

Whats ya source? I hope this is true, we are in desperate need for this. ED is this true about Doughty wanting to sell the club due to his upcoming divorce?? or is it just the Sheep and Festa being bitter.

nottingham forest have nile ranger on their list of strikers however blackpool are leading the race for him.

Forest have tried one last time to lure wayne routledge to the city ground by offering him the 12 k required. Dont know if ita too late and he willing be signing for leicester or swansea.

Nicky Maynard remains a target however forest are waiting to see if maynard want a move or not before making an offer

Billy sharp is another target however doncaster would also require alot of money to part with their main man

Jonathan greening and boateng look the next players too sign. Zenden wants a move back to holland to finish his career, most likly with PSV

Believable16 Unbelievable6

Weres this all coming from ??

Agree0 Disagree0

Id love to know where your getting your info from, my manager has just returned from a commercial meeting with the club and the atmosphere in his words was like a funeral parlour, the club is up for sale, Dougherty is unlikely to spend any money and they are expecting Mclaren to quit by the end of the week.

Nigel reo coker. signed 1 down 8 to go

Believable3 Unbelievable5

There is no substance to this rumor it has only been posted on a fans forum

Agree0 Disagree0

Where did you here this.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why post rubbish like this? What is your source? Reo coker said he is looking for a prem club or will go abroad - playing in the championship isnt on his radar mate.

I've heard the same rumour from to different people that are associated to forest, that we are interested in up to four Sunderland players, two of which we have already spoken to.

Believable12 Unbelievable14

Saw that Kilgallon and Nosworthy are def available. Kilgallon would not be a bad squad addition.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why belive someone that cant even spell the word TWO

Agree0 Disagree0

Why believe someone who can't even spell believe?

Agree0 Disagree0

As I wrote this on my phone, while on hold to someone at work, I made a slight mistake. You don't have to believe a word I say, but as I told you about Reid having a medical and how long he'll sign for before anyone else, I think I have more credibility than 99.99% that post on here.
My TWO (2) sources are from a players mrs who's a friend and a friend that works as a schools sports coordinator and deals with both forest and notts most days.

Ps I didn't realise everything had to be spelt perfectly, to give what I say credibility......will try harder in the footer ;-) lol

Nottingham Forest will sign the following players by the end of the week:

J Greening. £500k
G Boateng £200k (whyyy oh whyy?)
B Sharpe £1.2M + J Garner
N Shorey £750k
D Jones Free

Players targeted for loans:
F Macheda
J Shelvey
Kyle Walker
G Cunningham
V Anichebe

Believable16 Unbelievable18

Be pretty happy with Greening, Sharpe, Shorey and Jones.
Macheda would be a coup.
Can't see Harry letting Kyle Walker go anywhere this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Boateng has no club so why the 200k? Shorey 750k? Surely that's cheap, good deal if it's true but very much doubt it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Boateng is a free agent. Why does Garner need to go?He would score 20 plus given a chance and not played wide right.

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance with macheda before the season, he's in america with united

Agree0 Disagree0

An this person is talking out there bum hahaha

Agree0 Disagree0

Garner probs has to go coz we havent got the full amount needed for the transfer. I agree tho, play Garner up front and he will get goals, he needs a chance. Wilko

Agree0 Disagree0

George Boateng .. why oh why ??

maybe because he is a defensive midfielder who organises well and will demand everything all the players have got on the field ... seem to remember the same things were said about Paul McKenna when he arrived at Forest

Agree0 Disagree0

Shorey 750K.......I don t think so

Agree0 Disagree0

Whats happen'd to routledge, maynard and nigel reo-cocker ? id rather put the money in to get these 3 players than have any of those above doughty needs to pull his finger out his arse and sort it out

Agree0 Disagree0

ED- if we sign boateng does this mean that mousi is deffo leaving ? rather have mousi because he is young and hes proven last season (before her got injured) that he could do the job {Ed008's Note - Back-up player.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed - has Barnes gone to Leeds? {Ed041's Note - From what i have heared he is training with them }

Believable5 Unbelievable6

ED- isn't barnes a left winger ? why would we want him when weve got andy reid whos a left mid ? {Ed016's Note - He plays mainly as a Attacking Midfeilder But he can play on the wings}

Forest to sign Liam Lawrence from Portsmouth on a three year deal, thoughts?

Believable11 Unbelievable20

First thought is were dud you read this?

Agree0 Disagree0

Good player but only joined them last year. Why would he leave already?

Agree0 Disagree0

Happy with that if its true, gd player and set piece specialist

Agree0 Disagree0

He is a mansfield born lad i believe but attitude off the pitch is questionable
had a good year in a struggling pompey side last year so i doubt they would consider letting him go.........

Agree0 Disagree0

Shoudl have got him years ago when he played for Mansfield. About 100,000 would have got him then and helped Mansfield too. Still a good player thoguh if he has a strong manager to guide and inspire him.

FOREST R IN MONEY TROUBLES CHAIMAN TRYING 2 SELL BUT FINDING IT HARD

Believable9 Unbelievable21

Ive heard the same rumour coming out of the ground, someone connected with the club said a deal was close last week.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would he be in trouble if we are signing alot of players

Agree0 Disagree0

We arent signing alot of players though are we. The fact that we havent made any signings is because we are broke. DO NOT expect any big signings. We will maybe spend 1 million on a player and then the rest will be loan signings or loans. Worrying times for us at Forest

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would Doughty go to the expense of sacking Davies and all his backroom staff, pay them a big pay off then bring in a new manager on a three year contract if he wanted to sell the club, new owners would want to bring in their own manager and staff.
