Believable1 Unbelievable3

With which bookmakers?

Agree0 Disagree1

What about Dougie Freedman, isnt he in the shake up, cos he should be. Chugsy

Agree6 Disagree4

Put yer money on Big Mick.
All the Wolves players rumoured to be on our list and that fact he was with David Dein at the City Ground towards the end of last season ticks all the boxes for me.
Plus he's got a fantastic record of promoting from the Championship.

Agree5 Disagree5

Omg on a par with wally with the brolly. Cannot believe they would employ such a div.

Agree6 Disagree4

Come on lads, Darren Ferguson is obviously not gonna be the next manager, Al-Hasawi's wouldn't have sacked cotterill if they didn't already have another manager that's already agreed to take over, so considering p'boro's chairman's tweeting " Sources tell me GH for NF Job! Hopefully puts stop to all rumours about our Gaffer!" < tells me that Darren Ferguson hasn't been approached, or posh haven't given permission for him to e approached, so considering how soon we need a manager in asap I'd say it would take too long for him

Agree1 Disagree2

Get mccarthy and mcleish out of that list both hopeless

Agree5 Disagree5

Keane now 5/2

Agree0 Disagree2

Has anyone followed the link re DF on press talk.

Agree2 Disagree1

I would imagine the new manager is in place by now. Prob will make a bit of cash betting against opposition. Cynic or what?

Agree3 Disagree2

Everyone quotes odds but not with which bookmaker. There is not 1 favourite across the board; the top bookmakers have different favourites.

Agree1 Disagree0

My choice out of them would be stuart pearce but cant see it happening

Ed, have you any info on all the glenn hoddle stuff? {Ed034's Note - Only that there's a lot of money being put on him

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Please Please Please Mr.Hasawi not Glenn Hoddle. He is a twit!

Agree5 Disagree5

Makes a lot of sense...good manager plays football the right way and has a passion for working with young players. Was one of the best players this country have ever had !

Agree4 Disagree3

He's gone from 25/1 to 4/9 on in a hour so must be some truth somewhere

Agree1 Disagree0

The reason being the Posh owner tweeting this

Darragh MacAnthony ‏@DMAC102

Sources tell me GH for NF Job! Hopefully puts stop to all rumours about our Gaffer!

Agree1 Disagree1

Roy Keane and Mick Mc Carthy will be a match made in heaven! Saipan 02 WC,

Agree1 Disagree2

Hoddle would be great if you ask me.

Both he and Forest deserve to make it back to the big time so it's a great match!

Agree3 Disagree2

Yes always liked Hoddles style of play, it would suit us down to the ground

Agree2 Disagree2

Hoddle god help us

Agree1 Disagree3

Okay it's getting scary now. Cannot believe the al hasawi' s would give the job to glen hoddle, even worse than the last two - it would be a disastrous move! If you read this site fawaz please not him! He is clueless.

Agree2 Disagree2

This is the same bookies that had roy keane 4/5 fav last time and look ho we got sky bet put anything up

Agree0 Disagree0

What was the name of his happy clappy friend.

Agree0 Disagree0

Anybody thought GH could be Gerard Houllier. Just a thought.

LB {Ed034's Note - Nope

Agree0 Disagree0

What did Glen Hoddle ever do as a manager........apart from taking Swindon into the premier league!!

Agree1 Disagree1

Roy Keane? Are you mad? What's he done apart from upset every dressing room?

Agree1 Disagree1

Short term,MM cos he can get a defence in quickly,,but I love the GH idea, quality is forever!

Agree0 Disagree0

Stuart Broad‏@StuartBroad8

@stevenfletch10 fancy coming to score some goals at The City Ground big man? Notts is a good night out.

Hoddle now 2/1

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Where has his name surfaced from all of a sudden? I seem to remember he was a close friend of Nigel Doughty. Is that enough for people to link him with the job? {Ed034's Note - 7/4 now

Agree1 Disagree0

4/9 now hoddle

Agree1 Disagree0

Ed, you have stolen my post :-( how was the anniversary? {Ed034's Note - really good cheers. A couple of nights chilling with my better half at a spa in northants. I thought it was nice of the al-hasawis to wait until I got back to make the announcement

Agree1 Disagree1

Darragh MacAnthony (P'boro chairman) tweeted that his sources were saying Glenn Hoddle and saying "hopefully this will stop the rumours about our man!"

Agree1 Disagree1

Notts a good night out not a good response.

Agree0 Disagree1

12 Jul 2012 21:11:47
G. Hoddle and D. Ferguson both at 6/4 on sky bet. Big sad face.

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Young fergie could do well

Agree1 Disagree9

This can't be true... when did these kawaitis last watch english footy... surely their religion will clash with hoddles religion.....he's not managed for ages has he??

Agree2 Disagree2

Hoddle likes football to be played on the floor & has contacts, so can recruit good talent.

Agree6 Disagree0

If u think back it was hoddle that started the chelsea revolution befor they got mega rich bringing players like ghullit and vialli to england

Agree1 Disagree0

12 Jul 2012 21:05:29
Glenn hoddle now as low as 2-1 at some bookies. Some mega money been put on him in the last couple of hours!

Michael Dawson to return as skipper!
Jenas in talks at the moment!
Source : friend of JJ! Happy days!!

Believable3 Unbelievable13

Whats point of bringing back all ex players {Ed034's Note - Because they're better than we have

Agree4 Disagree1

Thank you for that! Funniest thing I've read in ages!

Agree3 Disagree1

I wish

Agree1 Disagree1

Would like it to be true but cant see it, Dawson was on sky showing off the new spurs shirt tonight.

Agree3 Disagree1

Ive also heard this from a friend

Agree1 Disagree1

Jj signing on season long loan with future fee clause included not heard anything about dawson suspect that is just dribble

Al Arabiya News reports,
Syrian player, Firas al-Khatib, will leave Qadesya club in Kuwait to join England’s Nottingham Forest FC which was recently acquired by a Kuwaiti businessman. (Reuters)

Believable6 Unbelievable1

12 Jul 2012 20:17:52
According to the BBC and TalkSport, Redknapp has rejected any approach from Forest. The leading candidate is now Mick McCarthy who has confirmed Forest's new owners have approached him.

No decision has been made. It has been suggested that the new owners are looking for a Director of Football appointment before they appoint a modern European style coach to oversee tactical matters.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Cant believe Dougie Freedman of Palace hasnt had a shout for the managers post. He is one of the rising stars in management and has an eye for players and playing the right sort of football. Chugsy

Agree5 Disagree4

Good shout. I'd rather a manager who can bring fresh ideas then the same old journeyman we keep getting linked with.

Agree1 Disagree1

F*ing hell McCarthy as director of football? leave it out...he's thick as a brick

Agree2 Disagree0

Would prefer dougie way ahead of the McLeishes and McCarthys

Agree2 Disagree0

I didn't know Redknapp had been approached. Only reports of not interested.

Agree1 Disagree0

12 Jul 2012 19:25:55
nottingham forest to buy defoe its all over radio in middle east

Believable5 Unbelievable8

Defoe! Really! Come on, he's an England player! Its the same as Ramsey, too good for the Championship

RG09

Agree6 Disagree3

Big lol to that one!

Agree3 Disagree2

Defoe would be sweet but I doubt it. Stuart Pearce for manager I think

Agree4 Disagree3

Actually I wouldnt want defoe, theres other cheaper players id go for befor him....also get a defence and widemen in first we already have 6 strikers

Agree1 Disagree1

Watch this space, our new owners are going to splash the cash to get players in regardless of how much, they said they want top flight football so they will do whatever in takes, glory days they said just remember.

Agree3 Disagree2

How can you be "too good"?

Anyway, we're clearly only intending to remain in the Championship for 1 more season...

Agree1 Disagree0

I'd love Stuart Pearce to take the job, but don't see it considering he has the olympics two weeks away, and by the time that has finished it will virtually be the start of the season so he wouldn't be much use or be able to have an influence on any pre-season. Personally anyone who wants to play attractive football and encourage youth players. (So no McLeish / Ferguson)

Agree2 Disagree0

Why would Stuart Pearce come back here? He has one of the best paid part time jobs in world football! You can't get any more steadier than he has got it right now and there seems no end in sight for this to change....Would you swop?

Agree1 Disagree0

Big rumour that Glenn Hoodle to be next Forest Manager!

Believable5 Unbelievable7

Big rumour from where?

Agree4 Disagree3

Yes - glen will be - always fancied getting back into management. with the money and ambition of the club now, this will happen, i agree

Agree2 Disagree2

I posted about Glenn hoddle hours ago, wasn't put up by ED, why? {Ed034's Note - Do you know how many posts I've had to read today??? If for whatever reason I missed it and didn't put it up, sorry.

Agree2 Disagree2

Glen Hoddle been out the game too long but a better choice than some above him!

Agree2 Disagree0

I tryed to post about Glen as well. If you're that busy ed, why has there only been 3 new posts in the last few hours? Sorry to have a moan but true. {Ed034's Note - As stated earlier on. I have had two customers to see. I run two businesses, have a nearly two year old daughter and a wife. I think I spend a lit if time on here and manage to post quickly and fairly. Please feel free to email the sure if your not happy

Agree2 Disagree1

Ed has put at least 4 from me up today so has earned his corn....

Agree3 Disagree0

Yeh now put ur dummy back in an leave Ed alone es our leader an es great... Nice one a Ed

Agree5 Disagree0

I hope Glenn Hoddle isn't made Manager - I still remember his comments about the disabled, my cousin had MS and was in a wheel chair, an old mate was deaf and died at work. I would rather punch Glenn Hoddle than see him as NFFC Manager.

Agree3 Disagree2

Come on lads lay of ed his life don't revolve around this site I think it's normally kept up to date pretty well keep up good work ed you be busy for a while

Agree4 Disagree1

Fair enough ed - maybe get rid of one of your businesses and committ more to the site then - get the wife to pull her weight, that's a joke by the way.

Agree1 Disagree1

5/1 now!

Agree0 Disagree2

Glen Hoddle no thank you. Far too long out of the game in my honest opinion plus he will bring Eileen along with him as baggage!

Agree2 Disagree2

Leave ed alone who does a good job the updates are quick, but people have to understand that people also have a life away from the computer Thanks for all your work ED keep it up

Forest fire

Agree1 Disagree0

To be honest Ed, I think you should not have to explain yourself to anyone on here. You manage this site very well and unlike some editors, you have a good grasp of the issues raised. Give Ed a break, we all have had posts not put up, there will always be a reason, fair and reasonable moderation is all the Ed is spending his time doing, especially at this most critical and amazing time for our beloved NFFC. GF COYR buff said

Agree1 Disagree0

Hey Ed; dont worry bout these moaners, they are all acting like squabbling kids at the moment, your doing a grand job considering the increase of your turnover of comments on this site in the last few days. Chugsy

Agree1 Disagree0

Ed your not allowed another life, get back in your cellar and prioritise and..... If you don't post this I'm filing for 'loss of enjoyment'. First an anniversary, now a family and other jobs, what next, pets, a hobby, a relatives birthday..............

Ljd

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey, you bunch of moaners, leave Ed alone.
He is a true Samaritan.
All of this for free & for the love of NFFC.
He can only carry so many at a time.

We Love U Ed xXxxXXXxxX

It was me who posted the original comment about why my posts aren't getting printed.
Wow - did i get a response.
ONE LOVE.....
get a sense of humour guys, my tongue was firmly in my cheek.
Glen Hoddle is the best candidate out of the bunch- a footballer.

Sky Sports understands former Bolton defender Paul Robinson is training with Nottingham Forest.

Believable7 Unbelievable2

12 Jul 2012 17:17:06
paul robinson training with us with a view to a permanant transfer source is @skysportspeteo

Believable4 Unbelievable4

Sounds like will sign as no club and would not have to movefamily

Agree0 Disagree2

Which one. Left back or goalie

Agree1 Disagree3

Are we talking Paul Robinson of Blackburn? If so we don't really need him! We have Camp, Smith and the new keeper coming with the Hasawi Family

RG09

Agree2 Disagree4

How can you disagree with fact?

Agree1 Disagree3

OP means the lb. Gk smith released with boateng

Agree1 Disagree0

P.Robinson of Bolton Left Sided Defender

Agree1 Disagree0

Firstly paul robinson is far better than lee camp. secondly thats not who this is talking about, its the former bolton left back who lacks pace and is way past his best and played for leeds when we lashed 7 past them.

Agree1 Disagree2

Smith been released on a free n its the defender from bolton

Agree1 Disagree1

No defender from Bolton the same one that was on the field when we hit 7 past Leeds

Agree1 Disagree0

Hes a past his sell by date left back...v slow....nono no we dont want tat like that give me cunningham or elokobi or come to think of it freeman anyday

Agree1 Disagree0

Sorry peeps didn't realise Smith had been released! PR is a bit past it now! We need young players like Lachelle!

Agree0 Disagree1

Fawaz Al Hasawi's previous club are stating the "new manager of NFFC is the son of the Man United manager" its on their official twitter account, they have been 100% correct up to now!

RG09

Believable5 Unbelievable8

Been on radio at 5.30pm - Darren Ferguson wont be manager as Peterborough have not been approached - Thank god. He went to preston and was awful as used to live there and went on and saw the awful football first hand.

Agree5 Disagree2

Oh god noooooo

Agree4 Disagree1

Reasons why Harry Redknapp may be the new Nottingham Forest manager come Saturday.

1) Harry can be bought
2) He said he wasn't interested in Spurs and joined Spurs
3) He said (initially) he didn't want the England job... but he wanted the England job
4) NFFC put out tender inquiries to stadium development companies (ahead of the takeover) which included a helipad.
5) While the twitter account mentioned has been very good so far so has my source.
6) Harry doesn't have to long left in management and sees this as an opportunity be apart of something big
7) The board will back him
8) My source (used to provide the players with vehicles and still close to the club and agents) has informed me that the club/Al Hasawi family have been in talks with Redknapp for two weeks now.

512

Agree7 Disagree3

Oh, I really hope the twitters wrong this time...Let's hope David Cameron's saying 'too many twits make a t**t' is accurate. Darren Ferguson wouldn't be in management at all if it wasnt' for hsi dad's name and help. Only one slightly worse choice than him would be the dour, clueless, Alec McLeish. Jurgen Klinsman sounds good to me but for a UK based manager with proven Championship and Prenmiership credentials, what about Roberto Martinez of Wigan: surely we have the money to tempt him away.

Agree3 Disagree2

But why would the previous club have confidential information like that when Fawaz no longer has an association with the club and hasnt for a few months.

Personally think the new manager will be one that hasnt been mentioned yet.
Not a rumour but a hunch

Agree5 Disagree1

BBC news just confirmed its def not Warnock or Rednapp.

Agree2 Disagree1

Roberto Martinez hes glued to Dave Whelans knee!

Agree0 Disagree1

12 Jul 2012 16:59:53
Its not rafa, but it will be a manager with prem experience. thats all i have been told, and thats pretty much all most people at the club know.
Although the cat could be out the bag early tommorrow?!?

Believable3 Unbelievable3

And how many managers are their that are available and have premier league experience not that many only one man in it for me Harry {Ed034's Note - Mad mick, keane, curbishley

Agree2 Disagree0

Where's your proof and who told you?

Agree1 Disagree1

Mccarthy ?! og gawd help us {Ed034's Note - Why not mick???

Agree4 Disagree2

Kevin Keegan-Rafa-Dalglish-Hoddle-Keane-Klinsman-take your pick. i think Ian Holloway would be a good choice tho. but knowing us we will end up with McClaren again ohh nooooooo

Agree4 Disagree0

King Billy has prem experience

Agree5 Disagree2

Sven, Pearce, Houghton, - how many ex premiership managers do you want?

Agree0 Disagree0

Houghtons at norwich for starters....

Agree1 Disagree0

It's not going to be a run of the mill man or why sack cotterill. Hoddle sounds a good shout because of his youtXh work but I wouldn't be that suprised if it was an ex pro massive name that hasn't prooved themselves as a manager aka maradona

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jul 2012 16:42:53
why has my Roy Keane story not been put up editor?

He will be new manager as William Hill have stopped all bets on new forest manager.

His Ego to big thats why he has not done well - maybe this will get posted... {Ed034's Note - I have put a rumour about keane up and i said I'd be happy with that

Believable2 Unbelievable3

How many more times......NO THEY HAVENT...its an old story from over 12 months ago...at least learn to read when you see articles

Agree3 Disagree1

12 Jul 2012 16:21:36
im afraid darran ferguson our man a kuwaiti journo just annouced it on twiiter @qadsawimalaki high expections.the new manager of nffc will be the son of man utd manager

Believable3 Unbelievable4

I hope not!

Agree5 Disagree1

Oh dear oh dear oh dear

Agree6 Disagree1

Its looking that way and no doubt a lot of truth in the original pursuit of him by the QPR man.

Agree3 Disagree1

As a Pne fan let me tell you Darren Ferguson was was arguably the worst manager we've ever had and we've had some bad ones recently believe me!

Agree9 Disagree0

If its true then i for one think its a terrible choice

mark d

Agree3 Disagree1

I thought they were going to listen to the fans...i don't think any fans want darren ferguson!

Agree4 Disagree0

Its Rafa Benitez who is in advanced talks. {Ed034's Note - Where is this from?

Believable7 Unbelievable11

You should of posted this on the jokes of the day section. Plus does anyone know what time the press conference thing is tomorrow.

Agree2 Disagree3

It's on Saturday, not tomorrow !

Agree2 Disagree2

Press conference is Saturday mate....5 New signings, new kit & new manager, one of signings...Jordan Rhodes

Agree3 Disagree8

Its Mick McCarthy i reckon

Agree6 Disagree3

Jordan Rhodes trained with Huddersfield today so if we had signed him and unveiling him on Saturday then he wouldnt have been training with them today im afraid

Agree3 Disagree4

It's Darren Ferguson I'm afraid - gutted. Hoping the players coming in with be of a higher quality than the manager.

Agree6 Disagree3

No no no not mccarthy, id prefer keano to him
I can never forgive mccarthy for fouling nigel clough all afternoon at main road once (we won 1-2) in the 1980s...he was a cheating defender and a boring manager {Ed034's Note - Lol

Agree6 Disagree0

According to Sky Sports News Redknapp is something of a mentor to Coterill so perhaps is just as well he doesn't want the Forest Job.

Agree4 Disagree2

Darren Furguson 4/5 fav on sky bet . Poor cotterill said he would go. Best of luck

Agree2 Disagree3

Whoever the new manager is, I reckon hes already been chosen and was supposed to be unveiled on saturday all along because think about it. Why wouldn't they have a press conference on a week day e.g. yesterday like I seem to remember cotterills was. They wanted to meet cotterill in the week with the intention of sacking him and unveil the replacement afterwards.

Agree5 Disagree0

RB would not join a Championship club. He has an ego...

Agree3 Disagree3

I really dont sense in sacking Cotterill and replacing him ith someone of the same standard i.e. Macarthy, ferguson ect...It really doesn't make sense! Please dont make a hash of it Mr Hasawi! lets get a class manager not a mediocre one! COYR

Agree6 Disagree1

Kind of glad SC has gone, but not really excited about any of the managers mentoned so far. Then again, Alan Pardew wasn't a great manager until Newcastle invested in him. I just hope whoever comes in doesn't do a platty and waste money. We need someone who knows the Championship and wants to play attractive football. Gus Poyet would be nice.

Agree3 Disagree1

McCarthy might just be good enough to get us promotion but then that's it: he's clueless in the Premier: McLeish is just clueless full stop. Loved Billy but he's not the right man for this job and his past behaviour wouldn't be tolerated for one mintue by the new owners. Keano is a good wildcard, Curbishly might be past his best-by date, Ferguson junior is a new hoper. Psyco is still be be really tested at club level so, who is the right man? Personally, I'd go for Wigan manager Roberto Martinez: his team play good soccer, he doesn't/can't spend lavishly and he knows how to spot and wrangle for a bargain.

Agree3 Disagree2

Fergusson only ever succeeded at league 1 level...not good enough for championship let alone premiership...for gawdsake dont give him millions to spend/waste...kids in a sweetshop omg

Agree4 Disagree0

Mick McCarthy loves to play 4-5-1 at home thanks but no thanks! Hope we sign a manager that hasn't been mentioned not very excited with the current choices

Harry Redkapp has turned down the Russia job - bbc sport

Believable6 Unbelievable4

True - saw this yesterday.

Agree7 Disagree3

@sportchippers:Just spoken to Harry Redknapp. Says he "isnt interested in Forest job, but it's an amazing club with great tradition."

Agree9 Disagree6

Just spoken to Harry Redknapp. Says he "isnt interested in Forest job, but it's an amazing club with great tradition." -- Robin Chipperfield (@sportchippers)

Agree3 Disagree5

H'mm I was starting to think it was gunna be "Harry". Perhaps it is Big Phil after all?

Agree4 Disagree5

Wouldnt suprise me if this was a lie. The new manager may well have been asked by the family to keep things quiet until the weekend.

Agree4 Disagree4

Hopefully they've already got some kind of shortlist need to get a new guy in sharpish

Agree4 Disagree3

Obviously selling himself, great club etc, so then if hasawis want him he'll just say I like the club but need more money, remember he is a londoner

Agree6 Disagree3

But money talks....Portsmouth are not or have ever been an attractive club and he went there!! PEARCE, O'NIELL OR REDKNAPP PLEASE! (whishfull thinking i know) FTID

Agree5 Disagree3

It will probably be someone who sneaks in uder the radar who has some link to the middle east. Lets just hope its not Fergie, hes done average at Peterborogh and terrible with Preston

Agree8 Disagree1

Rob Dorsett on Sky Sports said Redknapp won't take it cuz he's sad to see Steve leave and them 2 are great mates

Agree2 Disagree5

About 6 mths ago, I spoke to Robbo at his book signing and asked him if Martin would ever come and manage Forest, he said "I doubt it, he wants to manage in the top flight But we do both love the club. You never know tho, if there is a rich Russian Oil magnate who takes over and invests....." Well, hold on a little longer lads.....were coming home!

Agree5 Disagree4

William Hill have suspended bets on new Forest manager. Had huge wagers on Roy Keane. Looks like it could be him - hope is has sorted out his man managemednt skills, oh dear {Ed034's Note - I'd be happy with him

Agree2 Disagree2

I think that article reffering to suspending bets on Keane is from when BD left and wagers were put on for him! Then Mclaren snuck in!

Agree3 Disagree2

Keano great player...achieved little as manager sorry...BILLY is the only one

Agree7 Disagree5

Not really sure about Roy as a Manager, don't get me wrong he will get plenty of 'bums on seats' but his record is not that impressive. Having said that, I have always felt he has the potential......Would the new owners really take a gamble on Roy? I doubt it.

Agree2 Disagree2

Keano took Sunderland from the bottom of the championship to the prem in the same season...with a bit of financial backing...hello folks?? Surely we want some of that..plus he along with Psycho is a living legend!

Agree5 Disagree2

Luiz Felipe Scolari has sneaked onto the list of next managers on odd checker but is something like 50/1. My moneys in him.

Agree2 Disagree0

Coral has ferguson 1/2 favourate. Any truth in that?

Agree0 Disagree2

12 Jul 2012 11:57:49
A lot of build up saying American tour cancelled and MArthur and Clark have been sacked too. Well, it really is a new start ain't it!

Believable9 Unbelievable8

Omg!Really?Or a wind up?

Agree4 Disagree3

Herad 5 new signings to be announced on Monday and hope M Arthur has gone.

Agree6 Disagree4

Hope Marthur goes bit gutted about Cotterill, he deserved at least til xmas

Agree13 Disagree5

Tour cancelled and there are new signings to be showed of on saturday the takeover took so long because they wanted these players on board

Agree4 Disagree3

Robin Chipperfield just tweeted he's spoken to forest and the rumours about Clark and Marthur are untrue

Agree4 Disagree4

People saying sacking was harsh on SC, why? He clearly didn't impress in his meeting, he will get a very handsome 'severance package, with 3 years left on contract.
At the end of the day, why waste time giving him a chance until Xmas if you don't believe he is good enough, all that does is stores up a problem for the incoming manager in January.
Cut the deadwood, crack on with business and lets get a move on! Just so long as the manager is a good choice. Lets have some faith in the new owners and give THEM a chance to show us what they want to do!

COYR {Ed034's Note - Agreed with the money he'll get and that is his thanks for keeping us up. You don't honestly think the reason he was sacked was down to the meeting though do you? No matter what he said he was a goner

Agree14 Disagree3

Well said Ed. Obviously the new owners have always had somone else in mind for the job and imo as SC has now gone, I think its a safe bet that he has already said yes.
Thanks for keeping us up SC and enjoy your payoff, you deserve it.
Wow, these Guys don't mess about!

Agree8 Disagree2

As a Watford fan we have just gone through this and seen a good man Sean Dyche (close connections with both our clubs) lose his job. The club have come and said that he did a great job but the club ambitions changed overnight and the new owners want the person they see as capable of delivering those ambitions - sounds similar with you guys - I liked Cotterill.

Good luck, always liked you as a club and wish us both to be top two come May!

Agree10 Disagree2

NO manager, but new signings already ? No big name manager will like that they will want to select their own players to buy.....looks like the new owners might be very hands on indeed !

Agree5 Disagree1

And you know that a replacement for Cotterill hasn't approved the signing to which you are referring how?

Apparently USA tour has also been cancelled and a further two "staff" members are also to lose their jobs.

Believable9 Unbelievable2

OS has confirmed that the tour is cancelled. Rob Kelly in temporary charge of team affairs.

Agree3 Disagree1

Just a thought, but maybe there will be a short tour in Kuwait? Could be good business, shirt sales etc.
Football mad nation too and there are rumours of players coming to us from their leagues.

Agree8 Disagree0

Great idea tour kuwait and lets make more money

Sky Bet.............
Redknapp 7/4
McCarthy 5/1
Ferguson 6/1
Platt 16/1 WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!

Believable5 Unbelievable7

Billy Davies ? preferable to Alex McLeish anyday

Agree13 Disagree6

If this new owner want success you got to pay for it so Redknapp is the man! none of the other candidates excite me. But I am one for the bring Billy back but it wont happen!

Agree7 Disagree4

Platt? OMG, I hope that's Martin Platt off Coronation Street? Why not go for it..... Platt as manager and the Wally with a Brolly Director of Football! Hey, Never mind the odds of who will be the next manager, or who will be the new signings; whats the odds me NOT having a nervous breakdown before the season even starts? I'm going to have a lie down.

Agree6 Disagree1

Could you just imagine if fatty platty got the job! that would surely be the quickest way to alienate all fans in one swoop!

Agree6 Disagree1

6/4 with paddypower and next favourite club for harry is 6/1. Massive favourite. Can't be true surely?

Agree2 Disagree4

Redcap , Joe Jordan and bonds , ey I ey I up the football here we go

Agree2 Disagree5

HARRY REDKNAPP, Will be announced on Sat as part of the press conferrance...Good times are coming

Agree3 Disagree9

Ferguson now favourite at 9/4

Agree2 Disagree7

I wonder what billy would do with loads of cash,no excuses if it went pear shaped

Agree7 Disagree4

BRING BACK BILLY. WITH PROPER BACKING, HE'S THE MAN. END OF MESSAGE

Agree13 Disagree12

Ok so now SC is gone.New owners have probably already approached someone new and already got a YES.Im guessing this has always been the timeframe,so that they can unveil the new manager at the press conference on Saturday.I personally don't think Redknaps wage would be an issue,I think it's more the travelling.Darren Ferguson does not have his fathers brains or coaching ability, but he is able to call on his fathers experience and eye for a player.Mick McCarthy is very similar to SC.Same boring style of football, and don't think he could get us promoted in 2 years.McCleish is a first class failure.Apart from winning SPL titles with the Gers he has done nothing.
Apart from bookies favourites, who else could be the surprise choices?Di-Canio?A bit of no nonsense "old big ed" in him,and a great motivator.
IERM

Agree6 Disagree5

There's only 1 Billy Davies!

Agree15 Disagree11

My choice would be gus poyet, but he ent even in the running so wont happen

Agree8 Disagree6

Ian Holloway

Agree11 Disagree6

But Cotterill never appeared on any of the media odds-shortlists after McClaren resigned...

Agree6 Disagree2

Would love Harry but i can't see that happening. Bring back BILLY {Ed034's Note - Feel the same. The atmosphere would be electric

Agree11 Disagree9

If billy had cash he would spend it all and then say I need more. We should look to the continent and bring someone in like van gaal

Agree9 Disagree7

BIlly...let him finish the business and stuff the doubters, with a little cash we could aim to win the league

Agree5 Disagree2

Don't think he will be considered but would love Brian Roy alot of good things coming out of Ajax about him x player young and well respected in world of football Thoughts ed

Agree3 Disagree1

The Kuwaits are not stupid, they will know that every club in the UK will stay well clear of 'poisonous BD'. He would not make a short-list of 1000. {Ed034's Note - Bit harsh

Agree2 Disagree5

Poisonous, don't make me laugh. We were playing the best football under him for years, no way can you say that mans poisonous. He's not David Pratt!

Agree3 Disagree1

Theres only one billy davies ! Haha good job theres only one of them -he's trouble with a capital T - the kuwait team will be run on trust and respect - 2 things billy is seriously lacking.

Cotterill has left! Would have been nice to see what he can tbh

Believable9 Unbelievable9

Pretty gutted tbh. I thought he deserved to stay. the only manager they could bring in who in my eyes would legitimate cotterill's sacking is rednapp. I don't want mcleish or mcarthy or curbishley or warnock. at a push I'd take Billy back but I'd be very reluctant

Agree7 Disagree5

We will probably never know what went on at the meeting between SC and the new owners...however clearly they were not inspired by his 'plan' ... perhaps SC is a better performer with his back to the wall....perhaps the opportunity to spend would have exposed some weaknesses ....it would certianly have removed the 'lack of support' excuse that others have been able to fall back on!! Roll on you Reds!! exciting times !!

Agree4 Disagree2

I am dissapointed tbh also.i hope new manager isnt mccarthy,mccliesh.keane.i can honestly say the scolari rumour going around recently, being true.we can also say goodbye to pep coming back.

Agree2 Disagree3

Not surprised at all. Only, imo, i would not give this man a big budget. And again imo, i dont think he could manage any "high" profile players should we attract any.

Agree1 Disagree0

GUTTED......MARTHUR STILL THERE!!!

SC sacked - on the OS

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Deserved until christmas IMO

Agree9 Disagree4

It would be interesting to know who is advising our new owner about football matters. There must be someone helping him out.

Agree3 Disagree2

Fawaz has been running a football club for years, he will know a good manager when he talks to him, they will not need advice on that. SC did not impress

alex mcleish in the running for forest job, on news now and sky sports web site !!

Believable5 Unbelievable11

SC has left!

Agree5 Disagree1

Sad to see SC not given a chance but now he's not here, full support to next in line to the throne! Mcleish would be a major step backwards as would Mick Mcarthy.

Agree13 Disagree2

No way, job to big for him, go get Harry!

Agree3 Disagree6

I really hope not!!

Agree6 Disagree2

Please no......

Agree4 Disagree1

I agree.Whether you think it was SOD kept us up or SC,between the 2 of them they still kept us out of League 1.
Being kept from League 1 has lead us to the Al-Hasawi family. So thanks for your efforts Steve Cotterill.
IERM

Agree7 Disagree0

Would rather have Roy Keane than McLeish or Mcarthy but I got bad feelings about this.

Agree6 Disagree2

You can't turn away for a min! I only went to mow the bloody lawn and SC is binned! I, for one, am a little upset by this news, I was hoping for him to be given until Jan. But please Mr Al- Hasawi don't go for a Mick Macarthy or an Alex Mcleash who are legends only in their own heads ...... show your intent on a quality manager.

Agree6 Disagree0

Actually harry redknapp is first in the running for the forest job its on sky sports news

Former Manchester United striker Michael Owen has been on Twitter to state: "I see the Twitter rumour mill is at it again! As I've previously said, my next club will either be abroad or in The Premier League." - from sky sports transfer centre (looks like he's not on his way to CG)

Nottingham Forest will next week complete the signing of free agent Akos Buszaky, the former QPR man is currently without a club after being released at the back end of the 2011/12 season. Akos has found breaking into the first team at QPR as the club still continue to spend big. Akos is currently in talks with Nottingham Forest and a deal is expected to be done by this time next week.

Traveling to London on Sunday to complete the procedures to move to Nottingham Forest after the club owner took my card and my big brother Voisalhassaoa presidency of the club Dauatcm - this is what Feras alkhatib tweeted, I translated it using Google translate. I've YouTube'd it and he does look good, I just hope he doesn't bring all these players in that won't know anything about the English game, exciting nonetheless.

Believable11 Unbelievable7

I'll take the disagrees as Derby fans.

Agree6 Disagree6

Give the guy a chance! Never know we may just unearth the Messi's and Ronaldo's from the Asian/Arab parts of the world. And if we do then its all good and could rip this league to shreds. So give him a fair crack, he looks composed on the ball and some cracking goals.

Agree5 Disagree2

Looks quick, an eye for goal and composed on the ball. Could be a good signing and don't want to dampen the mood, but Findley also looked good on YouTube, so lets hope he's cut out for this league. Though if as we think we also get some proven quality Championship players too like Pep, it could be an exciting and good mix of talent. COYR!

Agree2 Disagree1

The new owners see the manager as a coach so expect to see them bring in their choice of players from a much larger pool than we are use to. Have some faith that they Know what they are doing, stop complaining and enjoy the ride.

Work permits might be a problem according to someone on twitter
