Mcgoldrick is on his way to derby along with freedman. Miller will go to Boro if they can produce the money but no offers have been made for Derbyshire (I wonder why). Plus Findly will be going nowhere as SOD sees him as a winger.

Believable14 Unbelievable16

No problems with freeman and mcgoaldrought going to the sheep if true although you know its Sods (not sean) law he will score his only goal for them against us. Think we are stuck with Derbyshire unfortunately

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm sure there's room in goldie or freemans motor for Derbyshire , if not I'll give him a lift down the a52.

Agree0 Disagree0

Please let this be true!

Agree1 Disagree0

Freedman going to Derby and no offers for Derbyshire is believable. The rest of it isn't

Agree0 Disagree0

Even NLN is not that daft as to take McGoldrick even on a free.
as for Derbyshire He will sit and see his contract out.

Agree1 Disagree0

Goldie has impressed so'd

pinxton

Agree0 Disagree0

Impressed him so much he didnt feature against Fleetwood

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed 034 to the posters that keep on pointing out spelling mistakes. As long as the post makes sense, it will be added, spelling mistakes and all. I will not then add on any post which points out the mistakes. Just wanted to let people know so they don't waste time adding them

apparently we could be in for winger yanick boliasse from bristol city as he has handed in a transfer request at the club

Believable8 Unbelievable20

I think you'll find that every time a player hands in a transfer request or is released by a club or is seen in the close vacinity of Nottingham we're 'in for them', i've heard from a very reliable source that a certain Mr W. Rooney is unsettled at Man u now that they've signed RVP, well you never know........

Agree0 Disagree1

I doubt it he isn't that good Albert adoma is a better winger

Agree0 Disagree0

You read that he has handed in a transfer request then add 2 + 2 and come up with Nottm Forest because he is a winger. A poor one at that.

Agree0 Disagree0

I live in bristol n my mates dont rate him, they have a bad team at the moment so if he struggles with them he got no chance at the holy city ground

Agree1 Disagree0

It's funny how during the transfer window players are rumoured to be targets from clubs you are just about to play!? Just watch the next few weeks posts!

Middlesboro after Steve Morison at Norwich so looks like they have lost interest in Miller.

Believable18 Unbelievable9

Dont see whybthey would of wanted him in the first place

Agree0 Disagree0

Morison could be a decent signing for us, he's much better than miller, he's scored 1 every 2 games in his career. 20 goal a season player in the championship like when he was a milwall

Agree1 Disagree0

Should say like. Could you amend ed? {Ed034's Note - A???

Agree0 Disagree0

They could actually be after both!! Teams don't have to be after only 1 player at a time. Would Luke Morrison at forest though

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed if you had posted my first message the one above would make sense {Ed034's Note - I probably didn't as it didn't make sense lol repost it if you like mate

Agree0 Disagree0

No worries. I can't remember what I said now anyway. How strong do you think the rumours are on Ince, Routledge and Thomas? {Ed034's Note - The Ince one has now come from two separate sources and the routledge one seem strong. Not too sure about the Thomas one though. I would love either, but would prefer Ince for long term. Having said that I think routledge always frightens defenders to death in this league. Who's your preferred choice??

Agree0 Disagree0

Routledge is my first choice. Really good at this level and disappointed we missed out on him last year. As you say, Ince is a better long term prospect

Agree0 Disagree0

Forest giving up on Thomas ince so he has seen that Swansea have signed Jonathan de Guzman (winger) so forest to go for out of favor winger Wayne Routledge.

Believable18 Unbelievable15

Hope so, Routledge is awesome.

Agree1 Disagree0

Weve tried to sign WR twice before and lost out. Would be a great signing. A proven performer at this level.

Agree1 Disagree0

Routledge is very useful in the championship

Agree1 Disagree0

De Guzman is not a winger!

Agree0 Disagree0

And swansea have not signed him either!

Agree0 Disagree0

If your text is true routledge would be just the player to add to an almost complete squad

Agree1 Disagree0

We have never 'lost out' to WR before......The player 'demanded' wages higher than we were prepared to pay so he went elsewhere. Yes a good player but there are better less greedy wingers out there to be honest. Bit of a journeyman already! {Ed034's Note - He was being offered a higher wage elsewhere and said of we matched it he would sign. Just because he wanted a certain figure doesn't mean he's greedy. It means he just wants what he can get, like you would in your job. It does my head in when players are called greedy for the wages they can get. Fair play to him

Agree1 Disagree0

Ed appreciate your reply regarding my 'greedy' quote but as I heard at the time WR was all ready to sign at an agreed wage but kept stalling in the 'hope' of more money hence the reason I said greedy. What I was trying to put was I would rather have players prepared to wear the Garibaldi and have their hearts on their sleeves and not going back for someone whom rejected us before? Hope that makes sense? {Ed034's Note - I understand mate. WR said how much he wanted as that is what was being offered elsewhere and he will sign if we match it. We then went and offered between 500 and 1,000 less. He wanted to come to us, but we didn't want to pay that little bit extra. It wasn't his fault but forests. I really hope he signs. He'll be a cracking addition

Agree0 Disagree0

Out of favour? Why? Because he has not played a game this season?!

Agree0 Disagree0

De Guzman is replacing joe Allen and he doesn't play in the wing!

Agree0 Disagree0

Would sooner have Ryan hall from southend, so glad seasons here lookin forward to it yoooooooooooooooou reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeds

Blackpool are likely to sell either Phillips to Southampton, or Ince to us, providing their valuation of the player is met. It is unlikely they will sell both, but it is not out of the question.

Blackpool are believed to want in the region of £6.5m for Phillips, and £2.8m for Ince.

If Ince is not available, Forest will turn their attention to Routledge who could be available for £1.5m and may also take a gamble on Ryan Hall, believed to be available for 500k.

Believable12 Unbelievable12

6.5m for Phillips? Your having a laugh.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its Ryan Hall for me.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, there have been rumours of Southampton bidding close to 6m for him.

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldnt pay 6.5million for someone who is not prooven in the bpl think your mad

Agree1 Disagree0

They are talking about Matt Phillips not Kevin!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think they know it's Matty, not Kevin. Still wouldn't pay 6.5 million, more like 1.5 million, was poor towards latter parts of the season

Agree0 Disagree0

500k is not a gamble in the modern game sign hall up pronto and while big Al's at it sign ince up to. I ain't greedy {Ed034's Note - Me neither, so get it done

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think we will sign Routledge as Scott sinclair has rejected a new contract therefor they will want to keep Routledge to take sinclairs place for now

With RVP signing for Man Utd Macheda set for season long loan at Forest, Derbyshire, McGoldrick and Miller all set to leave before end of August! Four strikers to choose from to be Blackstock, Cox, Findley and Macheda. COYR

Believable12 Unbelievable17

The sooner we should Findlay the exit door the better

Agree0 Disagree0

And Tudgay?

Agree0 Disagree0

You forgotten Tudgay will be there to choose from too? Personally I would keep McGoldrick based on pre-season!

Agree0 Disagree0

Macheda wud be a gd signing upfront young lad with loads to prove to sir alex ferguson if we land him be a gd bit of business if we can get him on loan with a view to perm if we get promted ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Macheda not good enough simple as that sooner keep Tudgay {Ed034's Note - man u think he's good enough it he would have been shipped out full time by now

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't see why anyone would keep McGoldrick on the basis that he's had a good preseason - he did nothing for us last season, didn't go in to the summer off the back of a lot of games so he'd have been one of the freshest players at the club. {Ed034's Note - Unless so'd has given everyone a clean slate

Agree0 Disagree0

I have heard he has a bad attitude.thinks he is something special

Agree0 Disagree0

Mcgoaldrought is awful, miller could be the surprise package this season, that lad can play we just have not seen it yet

Agree0 Disagree0

Goldie had a great preseason hmmmm , I some times think I watch different games to everyone else , popping a couple of shots straight at the keeper in between running around like a headless chicken ,has never convinced me .

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't believe anybody wants to keep McGoldrick on the strength of a decent pre-season...what about the three years were he's done bugger all apart from one cracking goal against palace ?? {Ed034's Note - Not the first time this has been posted and my usual point is we said that about mccleary

Agree0 Disagree0

Lazy too though Ed. Attitude certainly very poor also. {Ed034's Note - Who mcgoldrick?? In the past yes, but under a new manager, given you a real chance, you never know. I'm not saying he's our star player and has changed, I'm just saying lets get behind him and see what he can do

Agree0 Disagree0

Who's buying derbyshire, mcgoldrick an miller ? and for how much ?

robbie findley on his way to new york red bull

Believable10 Unbelievable20

Doubt that

Agree0 Disagree1

Think Portland timbers own his rights in the us, that's why it took us ages to sign him when we did, so if I'm correct, it's more likely he'd go there if he went back to America

Agree0 Disagree0

We signed him on a free from Real Salt Lake?

Agree0 Disagree0

If he leaves us I suspect it will be for the MLS, so it may be someone trying to start a rumour that sounds feasible.

His MLS career was spent at the Galaxy and Real Salt Lake, so doesn't seem tied to Portland

Agree0 Disagree0

Wayne routledge is talking to forest about a deal worth 900.000 but is wanting 18000 a week forest only want to pay him 13000 and would rather take him on a loan to buy basis if your going to ask how I no this because I live next door to Chris Cohen in ruddington and caddy for him at ruddington grange golf club and Blackpool want 4 million for ince

Agree0 Disagree0

Chris Cohen should not have you as a friend, caddy or neighbour ~ if any of this is true

chelsea lad confirmed by Fawaz...

Believable15 Unbelievable6

Don't like 6 month loans it's either a season long loan or nothing, as SOD says it's difficult to keep your defenders fit for a whole season, but this lad is going back in January when we are likely to need him the most {Ed034's Note - It's a full season. There seems a bit of confusion somewhere but that has been confirmed

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Aug 2012 13:59:51
Sam Hutchinson will be announced as a Nottingham Forest either today or tomorrow after joining on a season long loan from Chelsea.

Believable19 Unbelievable10

How true is it where did u get this info {Ed034's Note - nottm post journo

Agree0 Disagree0

West London Post states deal virtually done

Agree0 Disagree0

Sam is NFFC player for six months, on forest web page.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fawaz tweeted, done

Agree0 Disagree0

It's a season long loan, that six month post is a mistake

It's true Forest have put an official bid of £1.7m in for Thomas Ince, likely to be rejected. If Forest up their bid to 2.8-3m they will get their man.

Believable23 Unbelievable15

'Derisory' bid IMO. We'll have to do a lot better than that. And we should be prepared to as well, because this guy's a difference maker

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, reckon well have to pay at least 2.5m, hutchinson just signed by the way

Agree0 Disagree0

Where is this official info from? Plus 1.7m to 2.8m is a big jump in valuation.

This suggests one of three things, we won't pay that much, there is no substance to this rumour or MAuthur is in charge of this deal

Agree0 Disagree0

Robin Chipperfield told me a couple of hours ago.

Rams finalising Freeman deal.

Will the 'lambs' up the road have to pay a fee for his services?

Believable16 Unbelievable7

Yes they will. Even if he leaves when he's out of contract he's under 24 so they'll have to pay compensation

Agree0 Disagree0

If you look at what Nigel says about Freeman ..he implies that Freeman is sought to provide back-up. Is this NLN speak for bench warmer? I am sorry that he won't be warming our bench..I think he has agreat future..but if he wants to go...get rid.

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually, it's more likely that a fee will not be involved. instead, the deal will involve a big sell on clause. we rejected 100k from notts a month or so ago, as the deal did not include a sell on clause, which is obviously far more important than a one off measly fee. he COULD be worth a million or so in 2 /3 years time, and so we would be entitled to money from his next transfer fee. makes much more business sense, both short and long term.

Agree0 Disagree0

Poor time to sell IMO. I don't imagine we'll get much for him. And I think he's good enough to feature for us this season. Talented kid. Can't they take Moloney instead? {Ed034's Note - Freemans asked to leave because he isn't happy about going out on loan and wants first team football now, so i've been told by more than one person

Agree0 Disagree0

Kevin Pietersen wanted to play for England today. You can't always get what you want. Now we're presumably in a relatively good position financially, i see no value in flipping one of our best young players for a few hundred K. If he wants first team football i see no reason why he wouldn't accept a loan move {Ed034's Note - He doesn't want to play for us and has spat his dummy out. So'd has said he only wants player here that want to be at the club and he doesn't. There's no value in having a player here that does not want to be here and that will bring the first team down.

Agree0 Disagree0

I understand what you're saying. But i don't think a 20 year old who's yet to properly break into the first team is going to have a drastically adverse effect on team morale. If we could get something worthwhile for him it'd be different but i don't see the sum he's likely to fetch right now being particularly significant. If Freeman's one of the best full backs in the championship in 4-5 years time (not unthinkable IMO) and he's doing it for Derby, i don't think many Forest fans would be particularly happy about it. It's a difficult situation but unless SOD doesn't rate the kid, i think he should make an effort to patch things up and keep him at Forest. Based on what Clough is quoted as saying on BBC, it doesn't even seem like he's guaranteed regular football at Derby anyway. {Ed034's Note - Something has clearly gone off and if he does turn out to be that good, it sounds like we gave a sell on clause. Maybe he is only league one standard and Nigel is planning for next season

Agree0 Disagree0

If we hadnt said he was avaliable and just let the bids come in surely he would be worth more bt i agree a sell on fee and appearance add ons.ect should be priority over a fee

Sky sports: forest are talking to Thomas ince and Ryan hall

Believable18 Unbelievable7

I know this is a rumour site, but when you start saying it's on sky then that is just wrong lol. {Ed034's Note - i put it on to find out if it was on the programme, as it is not on the website

Agree0 Disagree0

Haven't seen it on the website?

Agree0 Disagree0

Sky sports says nothing about the two players or forest....

Agree0 Disagree0

Just been watching SS and I dont see any news on this subject?

Agree0 Disagree0

Its southampton not forest

Agree0 Disagree0

The saints want phillips, and are rumoured to have bid 6m for him. if this deal goes through, i don't expect them to let nice go as well. i'm not sure how concrete the rumours linking us to ince are, some say he wants away and will be let go for close to 3m (still a good deal for a class young player), while others say there's no truth in it at all. we'll have to wait and see what happens. would be a great signing.

Forest trying to sign one of three wingers

Thomas Ince - £2.5 Million
Wayne Routlage - £1.75 Million
Jerome Thomas - £1.9 Million

Believable12 Unbelievable14

As much as I'd like Thomas, I can't see him coming to us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ince would be amazing signing, Swansea were after him but they are bidding for a Valencia winger so you never know!

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd take any one of those 3 wingers. Swansea are talking to Pablo Hernandez of Valencia so maybe that could open the door for Routledge to leave?
Can't see Jerome Thomas leaving, he's going to play a fair amount for WBA and Thomas Ince would cost us a fortune but i'd prefer him out of the 3. Can't see Blackpool selling him and Phillips though

Agree0 Disagree0

Jerome Thomas would be an amazing signing

Agree0 Disagree0

For me the cheapest out of these would be the best option. Routledge just has it, what ever it is, he's got it!

Agree0 Disagree0

Routlage best out of the three

Agree0 Disagree0

Routledge for me too

Agree0 Disagree0

Or they could possibly look at either Hammill or Hall and even Bennett...any of them would be considerably cheaper than the other 3!

Are they forest bids or other clubs valuations ?

Heard we have placed a 3 million bid plus add ons for Thomas ,
from a very reliable source!

Believable8 Unbelievable15

Assuming ur on about Thomas ince. Even if clubs agree a fee can't see him coming. Blackpool are a promotion challenging team to with ambition so may seem like a bit of a sideways move for the lad. Unless wages on offer are much bigger and he goes for the loot!

Agree0 Disagree0

Mystic Meg, I like the reliable source bit!

Got me convinced..lol!

Agree0 Disagree0

Thomas who, or, who Thomas? {Ed034's Note - ince

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the OP means jerome Thomas, good championship player, but not worth 3 mil!

Agree0 Disagree0

Definitely referring to Mr Ince. Would be fantastic but can't see this happening

Agree0 Disagree0

Jerome Thomas and Simon cox are good friends, may be swayed by cox coming here. I'd say Thomas and routledge are worth 2 mil each and are both very good championship players

Agree0 Disagree0

This would be an amazing signing if true but I agree Blackpool are better placed to mount an promotion bid and it would be a step back for him to sign for us {Ed034's Note - but it is common knowledge that blackpool have a very low wage cap and if we can offer him a good package, we have a chance. Plus if they accept a bid from us, who is to say they will have any other teams interested??

Agree0 Disagree0

Did you just say blackpool were a good team haha needed a laugh. {Ed034's Note - they aren't too bad. i don't understand why you laughing

Agree0 Disagree0

Blackpool havnt got our history, stadium, fan base or backing.we will see at the end of the seaon

Looks like Hutchinson is up Tommorow going by a tweet. If he spoke to sod on Sunday it could possibly involve medical or maybe face to face talks! Chelsea rate this guy highly so maybe a replacement of the Gunter standard. What's your thoughts ed? I can't see this guy coming unless he's going to start, maybe mean halford will move positionally

Simon {Ed034's Note - I just think we need options at the back and he'll gives us that. I still think halford will be rb when we get a rw, but of either cb gets injured or halford does, Hutchinson can come in

Believable10 Unbelievable5

Hutchinson can't train every day and can't play every game because of his injuries.

Therefore he is likely to be used either in rotation to rest players or as cover from the bench.

The depth that SOD has been looking for.

Agree0 Disagree0

Will hutchinson come here to start ? he's 23 so not young an just back from a long injury, cant see him coming to be a bench warmer an we've brought in a new back 4 ?

pinxton

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't see this guy comming here just to sit on our bench,He could do that at Chelsea {Ed034's Note - With the amount of players Chelsea have, I don't think he'll make the bench. With 46 league games, plus cup games, we will need to rotate the starting eleven

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep, saw tweeting yesterday about this. He has a decent success rate on moves. Also higginbottom going to fester! He would have been a good back up signing for us too

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Aug 2012 00:43:23
Not sure that Hutchinson is signing. It seems Chelsea are unsure whether they want to risk a potentially fragile player at another club for a whole season. If this bid fails, O'Driscoll will turn his attention to Scott Wootton or free agent Danny gabbidon, who it is believed was recommended by fellow Welshman Danny collins.

Moussa has agreed a contract and is set for a medical on Friday morning.

Danny Collins will be confirmed as club captain tomorrow with camp as his vice.

All the rumours of a Thomas ince bid are untrue.

Believable11 Unbelievable10

Great you found this out at quarter to 1 in the morning and such accuracy. Would we play a trialist without knowing their fit. you got some really good contact from somewhere

Agree0 Disagree1

I suppose we all have our vices, being camp isn't such a bad one.

Agree0 Disagree0

Scott Wootton? Are you kidding me? He has been tipped for big things for united this season and has played most of pre-season alongside Rio! He will be integrated into the first team this year so cant see him being loaned out!

Army

Agree0 Disagree0

Good source. We have bid for Ryan Hall, but we want him on loan for 6 months initially to prove himself, with an option to buy him for 650k. We are looking at Coppinger and obviously Hutchinson. We have also enquired about Hammill to buy, and Routledge on loan from Swansea. One thing is for sure, we def need some pace on the wings if we're going to push for promotion, and SOD knows this. Fingers crossed at least 1 winger will come in soon.

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely not another Dan in defence? Does anyone rate Danny Gabbidon?

Agree0 Disagree0

No he hasn't played in most of their pre-season games at all carrick has played at centre half for several of them so I'm not sure ur theory stands up mate. Rio, vidic, Evans and clearly fergie sees carrick as an option there! I'm not sure he will see much game time so a loan is a distinct possibility {Ed034's Note - add in jones to that as well

Agree0 Disagree0

Camp would be a shocking choice as vice-captain: poor attitude last season and gets lobbed way too easily. Dear me.

Agree0 Disagree0

And Smalling when he`s fit.

Agree0 Disagree0

Excellent point ed. I forgot about Phil jones. Strengthens the case for wootten being available even further

Agree0 Disagree0

Definitely rate gabbidon as a champ centre back. Be great back up and adds some experience

Agree0 Disagree0

What's being easily lobbed got to do with being vice Captain?
Both are vices? {Ed034's Note - i think he'll be a good vice captain

Agree0 Disagree0

SOD interested in bringing David Cotterill to the city ground. He is a welsh international striker who is currently playing as a winger for Doncaster Rovers.

Believable1 Unbelievable19

Hope not, awful player.

Agree2 Disagree0

Is he missing having Cotterill around?
