Former City Ground legend and European Cup winning hero Kenny Burns has been sacked by Nottingham Forest. He acted as an ambassador for the club and helped entertain supporters on match days and hospitality events.

It's understood that he was relieved of his duties last week, following comments he made on his weekly column for the Evening Post.

Kenny Burns was merely voicing the same concerns that not only the supporters had, but also the same concerns as some of the current playing staff at the club, as well as the manager Steve McClaren.

Not a rumour really but does anyone know if camp actually did ask to leave in the summer?
Was this why he is no longer captain?

since he lost the armband he has had no command of his area and chambers, although undoubtedly a loyal servant, is not coping with the pressure of captaincy and making errors ALOT!

All this talk of getting Doughty out is genius, everyone knows that critising the club is how successful teams chase promotion. Plus, let's get Doughty out, then we won't even have a chairman. Has anyone heard of any Thai Billionaires who want to buy us out, no didn't think so. Get over yourselves, who's going to want to buy a football club that is struggling. Doughty has been there for us, and still is. If a very wealthy man came along who promised a lot of investment and to keep us financially steady (he'd be lying) but let him get us some steller signings.

No one will buy a championship club with 60 million debt, fact!

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe, but Festa, Cardiff, Southampton and countless others were well and truely in trouble before their wealthy foreign owners braught them, much worse than we(Forest) currently find ourselves in so dont be so sure there would not people who would want to invest in a proper club like Forest with tradition + potential.
