forest lookin to sign alonso of seattle sounders in mls first contact made by steve cotterill before he departed would have been done sooner only our pre season tour of the states got cancelled. Also know that forest will sign before deadline day a certain player called gary hooper from celtic believe it or not we will see forest to win three nil on friday nite

Believable9 Unbelievable33

Why would we sign Alonzo his is yet another defensive midfielder who dose lots of running and is known for his hard tackles sound familiar to a few other players we have got. He isn't even one for the futer he is 26. Don't believe this. {Ed034's Note - Hahaha omg you say that like 26 is old

Agree0 Disagree0

Think your getting mixed up with rumours and story time what a load of u no what

Agree0 Disagree0

Mystic Meg returns! Rumours where no rumours have gone before. If by chance they're true then good news because Hooper would easily be a 25+ at this level, although who would you drop?-cox or blackstock. If we go 433, can everyone handle the Keegan Newcastle scorelines! If these transfers come true I'd eat a direby shirt but I'd also be asking for the lottery numbers meg.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gary hooper!! I would love that to be true mate but ...... REALLY!!

Agree1 Disagree0

Gary hooper of Celtic the bloke that's playing champions league football gonna bin that for a club that will pay less and have a 3-5year plan to get to the prem,no guarantees there - more chance of signing McFadden

Agree0 Disagree0

More chance of signing Gary Cooper lol

Agree0 Disagree0

More chance of signing Terry Cooper or Koola Trooper (only coopers I could think of). {Ed034's Note - Tommy and Colin

Agree0 Disagree0

Yea ed just like that

Agree0 Disagree0

Win 3-0 aswell lol is this a rumour site or predict the future site

forest will make progress with hammill this weekend and will lodge a bid in for the player. he has told his agent to get him a move to us, however birmingham and blackpool are also interested.

Believable16 Unbelievable20

Birmingham are broke but they can have him and we will have Burke instead. SOD was not waiting on work permits he is assessing a trialist this week who is a winger and a free agent.

Agree0 Disagree0

Let Blackpool have hamill and we will take Ince thanks.
IERM

Agree0 Disagree0

Let birmingham and blackpool have him

we will have ronaldo
thanks {Ed003's Note - Ince is better ;) }

Agree0 Disagree0

What fat ronaldo? He is a striker lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Hammill not coming....clues in SODs interview. He said whole league knows he is available, we know wages and fee.....nothing has been done so either SOD does not fancy him or there is some issue. If not he would be our player by now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe we're waiting on offloading Miller on his 17k odd a week to Middlesboro which is still a very rife rumour. This would then unluck the wages to pay Hammil? Ian T

All 3 Kuwaitis denied permits

Believable25 Unbelievable23

Its true, they have been refused, the main reason is probably because were not man united, man city or chelsea.

Agree1 Disagree2

Its true the big teams always get what they want, hopefully we'll up there with them soon COYR

Agree0 Disagree0

Wont lose any sleep over it. Was always going to be a gamble with these players.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cannot quite see how you can disagree when Chairman himself tweeted it!

Shame about Bader was looking forward to seeing him in the red.

bader one suprises me if true with a shed load of internatinal caps and goals to his name, did they show the board his goal clips!? ,Awesome!

Agree0 Disagree0

Last time this happened, brad freidal signed for liverpool about a month after they refused us a permit

pinxton

Agree0 Disagree0

I think this is a shame as could have added an element of suprise as other teams wouldn't know much about how they play and also the revenue it could possibly generate in the far east. I hope the club are appealing the decision.

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont understand why the FA have rejected. Ali Al-Habsi plays for Oman and there average rank rating is worse than Kuwaits!! Yet he was given a work permit to play for Bolton and Wigan. I think Fawaz Al Hasawi should lodge an appeal.

Agree0 Disagree0

We must lodge and appeal and make some noise about the njustuce of this. Looking at some of the dross players allowed into our leagues these days, it beggars belief that not one of the Kuwaitees is deemed good enough. I think the Brad Friedal example above hits the nail right on the head. It's nothing to do with the quality of the player but more to do with knowing which palms to grease and strings to pull with the FA. Pretty disgusting.

Agree0 Disagree0

Al Badar has been granted but he's the only 1 keep the faith fellow reds and trust in SoD yoooooooooou reeeeeeeeeeeeeds {Ed034's Note - the owner and player confirmed yesterday is hadnt been

Bader hasn't been granted a work permit.
Hammills agent has contacted forest but forest haven't made a bid yet as they were waiting on the work permits

Believable16 Unbelievable9

Why would Hammil ned a wok permit??

Agree0 Disagree0

Good means we can move to hammill now

Agree0 Disagree0

Whats the hold up with a bid for hammill get a move on forest before some one snaps him up

Agree0 Disagree0

What a waste of time having them come in for trials! Its a shame really because how are players from middle Eastern countries ever going to make a name for themselves if they are constantly denied permits. I personaly thought Bader would have been granted one due to his international experience. Its been a long saga glad we can draw a line under it and move on. {Ed034's Note - the Exposure in Kuwait has been worth it alone

Agree0 Disagree0

Got a fealing this Hammil transfer will fizzle out seen it to often in the past. I still think we need to make additions if we want to progress. Can see us struggling this season with the squad we have.

Agree0 Disagree1

"can see us struggling" are you joking
Top 6 spot surly

Agree0 Disagree0

Fed up of forest fans being negative , give sod a chance , from what I saw on Saturday and heard last night we are heading in the right direction ! Get behind the team and help them !

Agree0 Disagree0

Being realistic if thats negative then thats a shame. Don't think we have enough depth or quality in the team as it stands. Top 6 is crazy thinking. Our starting 11 against Huddersfield looked good but our bench looked poor. A few injuries down the line and we are forced to field the likes of Miller, Moussi the the 'highly' overated Majewski and a 23 year old defender who has played less than 10 senior games in his career.

Badar Al Mutawa, who has been granted a work permit will complete his transfer to Forest. Adam Hammill will be sign for us to complete the summer spending.

Believable9 Unbelievable22

Not clear if Bader Al Mutawa has in fact obtained a work permit - Fawaz Tweet a few minutes ago

Agree0 Disagree0

None of the Kuwaities have been granted a work permit.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Aug 2012 15:22:22
Bader Al Mutawa is the only one of the three Kuwaitis to gain a work permit and is set to join us on a two year contract.

Adam Hammill will arrive in nottingham tomorrow morning for contract talks, currently in Middlesbrough who are the other club to have met wolves' valuation.

Believable10 Unbelievable17

Hope thats true, that would do just nicely and then maybe one more defender, not sure about the guy from Hearts mentioned lately but another solid defender (I'm sure it would be with SOD signings so far though) and that will be that. Very happy indeed either way though even if nothing more happens. And almost certain if we carry on in this form we will be in play-off position come January and we might, just might finally have some investment in that Jan window for once to take us that bit further and all the way to the Prem! Super Positive Red here! . Ian T

It appears Bader Al Mutawa is the only one out of the three Kuwati players to get his work permit approved - not official yet but unsurprising with his excellent record for club & country

Believable10 Unbelievable12

22 Aug 2012 11:47:11
We could know today whether the 3 Kuwaitis will receive work permits

Believable23 Unbelievable7

Fadel and rashidi failed w.permit whilst mutawa passed his. expect statement around 4/5

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't Ku-wait for the announcement ;)

Agree1 Disagree0

Awww mate, that was most awful joke of the day but nice try! somehow made me chuckle though so...! Any more news on Hammil or any winger for that matter Ed? Ian T {Ed034's Note - just what has been said about us wanting hammil. it seems wolves want a bit more money than they first said and we are negotiating

Agree0 Disagree0

We were after him before he went to Wolves werent we if I recall correctly and most fans blamer MArthur for that messed up. Would be a terrific signing and if the figure of 500k is correct I'm sure we could stretch to a little more surely. I mean with the Dawson 10% of a poss 9-10mil theres 900k odd there, So Dawson can pay for Hammill! lol Nice! ;-D Ian T

According to Sky Sports Blackpool and Middlesbrough Are battling to sign Striker Ishmael Miller.

Believable31 Unbelievable12

How can this be unbelievable it's on ssn website.Unless the thought of getting this colossal waste of space over paid non striker of the wage bill is an impossible task know one could possible want him !!

Agree0 Disagree0

Well lets hope we get our money back on him. And spend it well before Aug 31.

Agree0 Disagree1

He was so promising but hes got a poor attitude and is so injury prone it's not even funny. Can't believe holloways interested tbh if he's done his research he'd have come to the same conclusion as most forest fans that he's a expensive risk

Agree0 Disagree0

Let's hope we can pursude Blackpool to take him and some money for Thomas Ince then.

Agree0 Disagree0

As if Blackpool will buy him , he is way over there wage cap , so unless it's a loan move he will not be going there!

Agree0 Disagree0

Blackpool offered Anderson 1k per week so I can't for the life of me think they will be bidding for Miller unless a cash plus player swap on the cards (Wishful thinking LOL)

Agree0 Disagree0

Battling is my new fave word for the day!

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this a spurs style offer... pay a small % of his value and we carry on paying his wages?

Agree0 Disagree0

Offer 3 mill plus miller for ince!

Agree0 Disagree0

If this is true why dont forest use miller as bait to try and get ince

Agree0 Disagree0

Ince will be snapped up by a premier league team before the window closes Forest are light years away from signing him. As for Miller wouldn't care if he goes for nothing just get him off the payroll sharpish.

Have news that a 'quality' winger/striker who is a free agent from a 'strong footballing country' is coming to club on trial this week.

Also hear that the financial issue which prevented Miller playing last season has been resolved and he is now happy and committed to the cause.

Time will tell. {Ed034's Note - what is this regarding miller??

Believable6 Unbelievable15

Don't think there was a financial issue with Miller It was his lazy Head.

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently ( source Jom on Vital) there was a financial issue which was why he did not play at end of last season. It was not an issue. Apparently now he is happy because this is all sorted. Could be bull and to be honest I think Miller is a bad egg who does not fit SOD ideal of a committed team player. {Ed034's Note - this would have come out by now if there was one

Agree0 Disagree0

Why? Cannot possibly say that when we do not even know what it was!

Agree0 Disagree0

Too late for trials the season has started trialists should be used in pre season games when games have less importance. Wasted a lot of time with trialists already with the Kuwaiti players inevitebly not granted work permits

Agree0 Disagree0

"there was a financial issue" "it was not an issue" "he is happy its now sorted" well thats cleared that up !????

pinxton

Agree0 Disagree0

Mcclaren got miller a 17k a week contract with a 5k a goal bonus to encourage him to score, last season didnt have the money to pay him if he did score so he wasnt used much once doughty passed away

Agree0 Disagree0

It was not an issue for new owners. Issue was that we agreed staged fee based on appearances with WBA and an amount per goal with him. We could not afford the stage payments so could not use him. All sorted now.

Freeman gone to Derby for 75k with 50% sell-on clause.

Believable17 Unbelievable6

Good luck to the lad...the better he does the more we may make. Never going to break through with Hutchinson, Halford and Moloney in front of him.

Agree0 Disagree0

75K seems a little low... I was expecting closer to 250K for a kid with many admirers? But suppose the 50% sell-on clause should easier cover that.

512

Agree0 Disagree0

75k is an absolutely scandalous fee. I really hope we didn't flog him for that. Robbery. Hutchinson is only here on loan. Chelsea will have him back if he's half as good as they think he is.

I really think a lot of Forest fans are gonna be grumbling about this Freeman transfer in a few years time.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's going straight out on loan according to nige. What was the point of that then?

Agree0 Disagree0

Been told that since he went to notts Martin Allen kept bugging him up standing him in the changing room in front of everyone and saying what a star he will be he has got a bit big for his boots and has an attitude problem {Ed034's Note - even his dad is shocked at his attitude. Sort of sums it up

Agree0 Disagree0

He did not want to play for us...made it very clear according to SOD. Better he goes. I heard he was on 700 a week and wanted 3000 a week. Not huge money and Derby gave it to him due to low fee. We would have been given more at tribunal but traded that against the sell on.

Agree0 Disagree0

50% of jack when he finds out that he is not as good as he thinks he is!

Agree0 Disagree0

Derby can't afford 3k a week for a youth player. Some of their first team won't be on that. No doubt they were willing to offer a little more than he's on at the moment on the off chance that he comes good, but I think it's mainly about his attitude. Remember robbie gibbons? Same attitude and went to sit on a bench in cyprus.

Freeman's 20 already and if he can't get near the first team now he's always going to struggle. There are plenty of teenagers playing week-in week-out in the prem.

Kieron Freeman has joined Derby County from Nottingham Forest. The Rams have paid an undisclosed fee for the 20-year-old defender, who is a product of the Forest Academy system.

Freeman made two appearances for The Reds but gained experience of first-team football in loan spells with Mansfield and Notts County.

Believable15 Unbelievable5

Its a good move for him, dropping down a level will see him getting more first team football... good luck kieran....I have also read we have a 10% sell on heading our way from the dawson transfer

Agree0 Disagree0

Id of preffered Freeman to go to Notts County than Derby, but hey cant complain, he didn't want to play for us so good riddance,

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah good luck to the lad. Was never going to get much of a chance at Forest so can't say a blame him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't know how accurate it is but someone I know who usually has inside info has said that we are looking into bringing Gael kakuta on loan from Chelsea which is holding up any potential hammill bid. He and Chelsea still deciding wether to drop down to championship, this may explain some of sods recent comments or may be utter nonsense!

Simon

Believable8 Unbelievable20

He's already on loan at West Brom and played at the weekend so this is nonesense I'm afraid.

Agree0 Disagree1

Chelsea wouldnt have to 'decide whether to drop down to the championship' It is common practice to drop a division if a player goes on loan. The point of the loan for the loaning club is to reduce some costs and to get the player match experience.

Agree0 Disagree0

Kakuta will be going to Marseille anyway so that's all false

Agree0 Disagree0

RE the first comment you are wrong it's Lukaku who is on loan there

Agree0 Disagree0

I would go with nonsense.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah he was at fulham last season thought he was a striker tho

Agree0 Disagree0

Every time we get a player from a club, next rumour is another player from same club !
