Reported in The People that we are to make a £6m
bid for James Vaughan. Forest will possibly use
Unwanted players in exchange deals to get their man.

Believable26 Unbelievable40

Wats his record like? How old and is he worth 6 million smackers?

Agree2 Disagree1

£6m for vaughan? you got to be having a laugh what's he done to be worth £6m.

Agree6 Disagree1

Better ask the sunday people that question, they printed it.

Agree2 Disagree0

6m? must be a rumour worth about 1m at the most

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed034's Note - hes worth more than £1m but £6m in far too much

I rate him £2. 5-3 million in my opinion.

Who wants Unwanted players?

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed034's Note - lansbury was unwanted by arsenal before signing for us

I agree, 3-4mill max but definitely an option!

Agree1 Disagree1

So if we signed Lansbury he must have been wanted.

Agree2 Disagree2

{Ed034's Note - just because the players are unwanted by us, doesn't mean they're unwanted by others

Whoever we sign, be it James Vaughn or any striker, we need to get a decent system in place, I've seen enough evidence home and away to see the midfield diamond doesn't really suit our squad, we have decent wingers but we are very static and at Birmingham every counter attack was sluggish and we didn't produce in the box. Signings won't improve what is going wrong, how we play needs changing. 4-4-2 anyone?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed034's Note - as long as we continue to create chances for the new signing, it will make a difference

Ed, I think that's what you call putting your eggs in one basket, if our success this season relies on the January messiah we may as well not bother. Heaven forbid he gets injured! What will we do then? I agree with the previous post, we don't look an attacking force at the moment, something is not right with our system. Maybe we get Sako too? And maybe Leadbitter, perhaps that will force us to change our style.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed034's Note - we are top four on created chances. Hie can you say we are not an attacking force??

Get real is he 3 x times better than Sharp, Wells, McGoldrick, Grabban, Adomah, Le Fondre, O'Grady?

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with the above post regarding formation! This 4-2-3-1 is not working! Ed, you say as long as we continue to create chances, I can't remember one decent chance we created against Birmingham. It's not good buying a quality striker if we don't give them the service

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed034's Note - this is the formation most managers find as the best. We are creating chances and just need someone to finish it off.

'How can you say we are not an attacking force?' - Ed have you been to a game recently?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed034's Note - we are fourth in the league table of creating chances per game.

Only saw 2nd half against brum and we looked better all round and did create enough chances but never looked like we would score if that makes any sense

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with ed on this one, we are creating enough chances to win games! Fair enough in recent games it hasn't been great but I beleive one or even two goalscoring strikers would add that much needed boost and provide the goals! Defense is looking solid at last and our midfield has plenty of creativity and talent!

Agree0 Disagree0

After watching the game st Andrews I feel our priority should be cover at left back and a left side attacking midfielder that works back we looked very doggy on the left especially in the first half.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed034's Note - I thought Harding did alright

Forget the amounts that some fans expect Forest to spend on recruiting players in January. according to the Sun today, Billy boy only has a £3million kitty!

Some papers and their inside knowledge. makes you laugh!

Agree0 Disagree0

Have to agree with Ed on this, I like the 4231 formation and if/when we add a bit of fire power in jan we will start scoring goals and creating more clear cut chances. Just be patient fgs, u reds!

Agree0 Disagree0

What's wrong with 442, both Leicester and burnley play that and they seem to be doing ok. The more strikers we have in and around the box the better.

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently his valve is 1.3 mil according to transfer market website.

Agree0 Disagree0

6million?. think not

Agree0 Disagree0

James Vaughan would score a bag of goals for forest.

Nottingham Forest have sent scouts to look at Ecuador midfielders Ronald Vargas

Believable8 Unbelievable35

You've got to be joking! Our scouts don't know where Basford is let alone ruddy Equador!

Agree2 Disagree1

Good player. on fifa!

Agree0 Disagree0

Old Basford is mission control for all our scouting activities!

GPS is picking up reports of dib dib person dob from scouts in the Rain Forest which is our South American feeder club.

Players on the way to join Gonzo!

Redinexile

Agree0 Disagree0

Didn't He play Huggy Bear in Miai Vice

Agree0 Disagree0

No that was Antonio Fargas. Don't think he was from Equador either, although I did see him on Basford high street once.

here's suggestion, see what you think, Everton are about to tell Jalovic he can go in January, he would be a great signing for us. Patrick Bamford is definately coming home in January, I was talking to his dad who I went to school with a long time ago.

Believable27 Unbelievable35

Good shout jalovic would be a good signing for us but I think his wage demand would out price him but he would get us the goals we need

Agree1 Disagree0

Funny that, I know his dad also and you couldn't have got this more wrong. It was his dad who pushed the move to Chelsea after he fell out with Forest over the contract offered to Patrick, and is his words there's "not a prayer" of him coming back on loan. Patrick is a good sound lad, he's dad is the opposite to be honest

Agree1 Disagree2

Don't think bamfords the answer, the way billy was talking near end of his aftermatch interview, think we are going to be going fo it mybe couple of strikers

Agree1 Disagree0

Saw the jelovic storey yesterday and thought he would make a very good signing. Not getting a game so might be possible.
Pk

Agree1 Disagree0

Got a decent record. Is he out of contract or are Everton trying to sell? If it's a sell how much?

Agree0 Disagree0

Jelavic is on 45k a week no way will he join.

Agree0 Disagree0

Here we go linked with everyone transfer listed. let's hope messi becomes available

Agree0 Disagree0

Jelavic is not out of contract, but he wats to play. Croatia will play in Brasil next year but he may miss out of the world cup. He' out of favour in Everton.

Agree0 Disagree0

Al hasawi has said hell spend upto 35k a week on a quality striker.

Agree0 Disagree0

Messi would do better than our strikers injured and blindfolded

Agree1 Disagree0

To the post commenting on every transfer listed player. Have a read at the top, it does say a suggestion and your opinion, not exactly a linked player.
He would be a great signing as he is a great target man which Billy likes. Chances are though, a prem club like hull or Cardiff will prob want his signature. But he'll be cheaper than Rhodes and reported £6m for Vaughan possibly. I reckon he'll be sold for about £5m

Adam

Agree0 Disagree0

He can't even make the bench in today's game. Since the big money move from rangers he has struggled to get into the team so a move anywhere will see his wage drop. I honestly see this as a more realistic move than Rhodes.
Pk

Agree1 Disagree0

Patrck bamford. really come on, is he really theanswer to our problems. not in a million years. james vaughn, sako, lord dyer, and connor wickham. with out a doubt if we signed these 4 players. we would inject pace, goals strength and height. and we will be then be able to threaten and beat teams convinsingly.

Agree0 Disagree0

This must be wrong because I know this lad who has a cat which once ran past the bamford house and spoke to their dog and the dog said that Patrick is going to start playing rugby!

Agree0 Disagree0

Then the cat got knocked down and squashed

Agree0 Disagree0

How did you know it got squashed!
