Have a number of mates who are Liverpool fans, each of them saying Jonjo Shelvey has been told he's not part of 'Roger's Revolution' and gonna be ploughed out on loan for the season. Don't shoot the messenger gentlemen but Forest have already chucked their hat in the ring...

Believable10 Unbelievable9

If shelvey is coming to the championship,it'll only be to Blackpool,he seemed very settled there and even expressed an interest in making the deal a permanent thing, next.

Agree2 Disagree7

Blackpool or Forest, hmm. No brainer we've won stuff and they haven't. Thanks for your input Blackpool fans!

Agree5 Disagree4

Shelvey? prefer Pep then we just need a winger or two in mid field and some defenders

Agree4 Disagree1

In all fairness haven't Blackpool won a playoff final quite recently?!?!?

Agree3 Disagree1

Is this the same shelvey ho has just signed a new 3year deal with liverpool dont sound like he is not in his plans to me

Agree2 Disagree1

Jonjo shelvey has signed a new 4 year deal so i dont think he will be coming on loan unless rodgers wants him to go

Agree3 Disagree0

Forgetting Blackpool won promotion and we didn't? Also Shelvey has just signed a new long term deal SINCE Rodgers arrived.

Agree4 Disagree0

I think he will go back to blackpool on loan seeing as its closer to liverpool to no need to move house

Agree1 Disagree0

Think you are mixing Shelvey with Spearing mate....Shelvey is the bald one and he is staying put!

Forest to sign up and coming non league striker James Stevenson watch this space

Believable7 Unbelievable12

Seen on another site portsmouths greg halford coming to forest

Agree6 Disagree5

James Stevenson....Uhmmm! *said like Oliver Hardy*

Agree3 Disagree4

Please can we start to imagine we'll be in for players to get us to the top end of the league...

Agree6 Disagree3

No rumours to share, but I have to say it is great to see things are taking there time... I know this is not a good thing because the seasons starts in a month, but I does feel like SOD is in control of the transfers.

If it was our owners pulling the strings I imagine we would have a lot of Asian players signed up already.

All I'm saying is I'm not worry. I like the idea of us building slowing and not getting our pants pulled down WHEN we do reach the Premier League.

We've been linked with some great young lower league players, but I think, more than anything, we have to sign at least 4 experienced/good defenders.

George, Higs, Wooton, Mancienne, Robinson and Gorkks all tick the boxes for me

512

Agree16 Disagree4

Need a good blend of experience, youth and lower league potential....hence reason SOD appointed. There will no new strikers signed with 6 at club and 3 on trial.

Agree6 Disagree0

Michael Mancienne is in talks with Nottingham Forest and Leeds United over a possible move.

Talks with former loanee club Wolverhampton have said to have failed due to bonuses. {Ed034's Note - Fantastic signing if true

Believable15 Unbelievable11

Ed please tell people to stop teasing without a reliable source! 3 wks ago it was luke varney {Ed034's Note - I think if sc was still in charge, it might have been still varney.

Agree3 Disagree1

With sc and varney i could only think that he had something on him

Agree3 Disagree0

On him or in him.He would be about as much use as Reg Varney.
IERM

Agree3 Disagree1

Don't rate Mancienne neither a defender or a midfielder....like a bulkier Perch!

Living in Manchester you get to meet the hardcore City and United fans, and as the only Forest fan at my workplace I keep getting told that we're supposed to be getting various players on loan for the season.

City source says Ryan McGivern will be coming on a season loan - apparently a decent prospect at left back. No chance on Savic as Italian clubs are sniffing around him and Cunningham will be sent to a prem club this season or be used as back up if Kolorov goes.

United sources reckon Wootton will be on loan at a championship club again, assumed Forest but couldn't confirm. He didn't seem entirely sure who Wootton was though.

Just what I've heard. {Ed034's Note - Cunningham is at Bristol city

Believable3 Unbelievable8

Cunningham signed for bristol city so prem loan seems a little unlikely

Agree9 Disagree1

So this hardcore man u fan didnt know who wooton was what a laugh best laugh ive had all day {red west}

Agree5 Disagree2

This is obviously all crap as cunningham signed for b city a couple of weeks back!

Agree3 Disagree0

Wow tell your workmate he knows his stuff lol Cunningham as back up bit impossible when hes at Bristol City

Agree2 Disagree0

Are we skint then?

Agree2 Disagree0

Ryan McGivern was on loan at Fester a couple of seasons ago and was one of the worst footballers I've ever seen, so I really hope not!

Agree2 Disagree0

I never said they were good sources!

players on trial some are here now rest coming in today ready for training next week,
gk Nawaf Al Khaldi
df Hussein Fadel
mid Aziz Mashaan
mid Ibrahima Keita
str Bader Mutawwa
str Omar al-Soma
players that have over 50caps for there countrys have good chance of work permits, should be nearer the wovles players next week aswell prop wednesday so busy week, looking at lad from chesterfield then 5loans in {tosh} {Ed034's Note -

Believable3 Unbelievable8

Great news looking good

Agree3 Disagree5

Sorry to be cynical but what is going to happen if these players are not good enough will we spend any money?! {Ed034's Note - Why are you presuming that these are the only players we are looking at??

Agree2 Disagree2

So players for international teams ranked 1st - 70th have to play 90% of their games in a year but these guys will "probably" get in with 50odd caps?? Personally I hope we sign a couple;

Bader as he's high profile
The Syrian guy to replace McGoldrick
The GK as he will barely play

.... having a few will help them settle, we won't have a whole team of inexperienced Kuwaitis and (most importantly) we can move on to making some BIG signings

Agree5 Disagree4

How do you know this info?

Agree0 Disagree3

Looking forward to seeing Al-Mutawa in the pre-season games, sounds like he could be quite a prospect. Thought we'd also taken Firas Al-Khatib in trial as well?

Agree2 Disagree2

I think that keita gone somewhere else and we got Paul Robinson on a trial i think LB

Agree0 Disagree0

Blackburn are willing to sell scott dann might be worth what u think ed {red west]

Agree2 Disagree4

Keita was a barcelona player last season

Agree0 Disagree7

That's a different Keita mate

Agree5 Disagree1

None of them are mean't to be good

Agree2 Disagree5

Liam Hearn would be a great signing AMA he has pace and most importantly he know where the net is and a local lad

Agree2 Disagree3

None of them are meant to be good....classic in depth and well informed analysis.

Agree3 Disagree0

Scott Dann on way to Southampton for 5 million.....dream on no way he would come here.

Agree0 Disagree0

O'Driscoll's first signing will be Liverpools Jay Spearing for 1.5 million

Believable5 Unbelievable14

And were you got this from his liverpool through his blood, he not leave there defo not forest better then that next

Agree8 Disagree5

Might not be in new managers plans , on a 6month loan would be a great signing

Agree1 Disagree4

Somebody mentioned a few days ago that we were looking at Lindon Miekle (Mansfield) and Jason Walker (York City) respectively I think these guys are well worth a trial heard a lot of good things about Miekle and Jason Walker scores loads at conference level got to be worth a look!

Agree1 Disagree5

As a liverpool fan I can tell you that we are all expecting him to go, so you have a chance if you're interested. Not good enough for prem, would be good for you though. good luck next season.

Agree3 Disagree5

If we're looking at lower league players then why not Liam Hearn of Grimsby? Great striker scores a lot of goals!

RG09

Agree4 Disagree3

I agree with the Liverpool fans comment, when I've seen him play he looks way off what a top Premiership midfielder should be. Maybe he would benefit, in the same way Gunter did, by dropping down

Agree1 Disagree1

Have to agree he's not prem quality but he'd be a little cracker for forest.

Agree3 Disagree3

My mate's a leicester fan (i know i know) and he loved jay spearing when he was on loan there a couple of seasons ago. might be worth a shout.

Agree0 Disagree2

Why are people suggesting players who aren't premier league quality . Surely the aim is to build a team to win the championship with players who re good enough to play in pl instead of buying make do players that could win the championship but would have to be sold when promoted to pl to buy more expensive players who are good enough, end up having a whole new team having to get used to each other. We should be getting players in who are already good enough or we know can develop. The newly promoted teams that stay up have always had a 70% core of prem league players and then added a couple of world class players. Surely we have to be more aspirational with our signings aswell as being realistic.

Agree2 Disagree4

Plenty of supposed premier lge flops, turn into decent premier lge players with a different team. There is no dividing line between premiership quality and championship quality and to talk as though there is is niaive and sounds like more time has been spent playing championship manager than watching football.

And as for suggesting most teams promoted to the premiership have 70% premiership players and then add a couple of world class players ... seriously! World class?! Jog on.

Agree1 Disagree1

Agreed, but with regards to spearing he would be a good signing for you, works hard for the team and has the experience. You need a team of experience, talent and desire. Thinking realistically, he'd be a very shrewd signing.

Agree2 Disagree0

3-4 years ago grant holt would of never made it in prem ..... According to most forest fans think we need to chill SOD will sign who he thinks can help and the biggest thing for me is the players are the ones who wanted him ie they will play for him . Ps Bielefeld red where do you live as I'm in Bielefeld ..... 24 not 7

Agree3 Disagree0

The difference between staying up and coming straight back down is having a continued solid core of good class players. If you think prem league players are not much different to championship then why are there a set 15 in the prem and the other floaters drift between championship never settling. Poor, make do players that's why. A lot of players suggested are non/low league players jumping up 2 or 3 steps, is that realistic? Maybe your watching the wrong football.

Agree0 Disagree0

So exactly which previously promoted championship teams were made up of 70% 'premiership players' and who were the couple of World Class signings they made after promotion?

Agree1 Disagree0

Lindon is that you plenty of goals for Mansfield no! And would be good for forest no! I have played with and against him and believe me no disrespect but as he would agree not championship quality and does any body els want to mention crap players and think pep is a god he is good but come on there is better we are supposed to be looking up??

Agree0 Disagree1

Yer I've played with lindo at shirebrook with alfreton town an he's alrate.

Agree0 Disagree1

There is a reason that people are giving opinion here and not at the City Ground and thats cos we do not have a clue while SOD does thank god.

Anyone thinking we will load up with Prem players is a fool.....it will be a mix of experience, potential and youth with a headline signing to show intent.

Anyone dismissing players who have potential but not yet made it in Prem is also a fool. Go back as far as Cloughie and Burns, Needham, Birtles, Robertson etc etc were all cast offs who he turned into European Cup winners. Its called being a good manager and we have one now so relax.

Agree3 Disagree0

The only one of those that, at the time was a cast off is probably Burns but even then he was already a full international, that just lost his way a little. A change of scenery can do wonders to revive a career.

Agree0 Disagree0

seems that not only are we trial-ling bader, according to the fans webpage in kuwait we are also assessing , the other star of the team hussein Fadel a central defender !!

Believable3 Unbelievable4

We have around 5/6 we are trailing

RG09

Agree4 Disagree0

And that is all we are doing trialling the players recommended by one of the owners. I think too many people are putting two and two together and getting five and worrying too much. If we unearth a gem great work if they go back to their parent countries but all in all good PR in my opinion to sell NFFC to the Middle East :)

Agree6 Disagree1

Has everyone forgotten that the al-hasawi's said that the manager has final say on whether they are signed or sent home...?

Agree3 Disagree0

So what its a trial.....like Robinson a chance to have a look and say yes or no. SOD would not accept players forced on him. He left Doncaster because of the involvement of an agent bringing in players to showcase. He builds teams .

Been hearing forest are to enquire about man city forward John guidetti, looks a much better talent than Jordan Rhodes..
COYR!

Believable4 Unbelievable4

Suppose its possible, our owners do have links with City's owner

RG09

Agree1 Disagree2

He is on his way to Feyenoord {Ed034's Note - Is this confirmed. I'd be surprised as they thought he had a very selfish attitude. Would be a great signing

Agree1 Disagree1

Guidetti is a Feyernoord player. If you are going to rehash old rumours do check the current news as well. {Ed034's Note - are you sure?? he was only on loan there and i can't find anywhere which ways he has signed for them

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Jul 2012 15:17:02
Well Ed his own official twiter site lists him as on loan at Fyernoord...however on further research did see him touting for move to Lazio so either way he is a LONG way out of our league! {Ed034's Note - so the op did not deerve the response he got, so on your behalf i will say sorry for the verbal attack he got

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jul 2012 13:59:09
Anybody who is posting that Jordan Rhodes is in talks with us etc can you please give us some sources cus i really cant see it happening, especially with a mate of mine who works at the CG saying that the only striker we have been linked with is Carlton Cole

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Your mate works at the CG? yeah, because they get inside info of all the transfers etc....

Agree3 Disagree1

They have had no bids in for rhodes as says on ssn,
fav to sign him is fulham, with derbyshire and mcgoldie just cant see rhodes getting in the team,

Agree2 Disagree6

JR won't come to us for 2 reasons 1) Huddersfield rate him at 8million and 2) Reading and Fulham arekeen on him!

RG09

Agree5 Disagree1

I live 4 miles from huddersfield and my mate is a season ticket holder at hudds, he is friends with some of the staff etc. Rhodes has been linked with several clubs but not Forest. not saying it wont happen just no talk of it at Hudds yet.

Agree6 Disagree2

Rather take cole

Agree0 Disagree8

Reading have closed book on transfers for this summer...as per McDermotts press conference. Fulham not in for him at all, trying to sway Dempsey for Charlie Adam.

Sean O'Driscoll was extremely impressed with Bader Al-Mutawa after his first day of training and has already made it clear to the owners that if he keeps this level of performance up for the rest of the week then he will be signed by the weekend. He is also believed to be finalising a deal for the keeper as a back up to camp.

Also, wolves have rejected a 1 million bid from us for adlene guediora and are believed to be wanting at least 1.5million

Mokoena, shotton, friend and Hutton all been enquired about...

I know for a fact that the first two points are true, the last one I have been told by someone and I am not in a position to say whether it is true or not. {Ed034's Note - Thanks

Believable9 Unbelievable4

Great news!

I'm sure we will sign Pep. it's what i fear though, now teams know we have money they will take us for every penny they can get!

Agree6 Disagree2

They need to offer money for guedioura quick as he is not in the wolves squad for the pre season so he must be going some where? its a shame but elokobi is in the squad so i doubt we will get him now

Agree6 Disagree2

The trialists don't start training still monday :/ {Ed034's Note - They started yesterday

Agree2 Disagree3

Pep is crucial pay the 1.5 and get him on board as quick as you can

Agree2 Disagree0

23 Jul 2012 15:16:19
I saw the twiter feed from the Kuwaiti saying SOD rated him as well! Nice link in though. As for sign him by end of week!? He is here for a month, he can play in friendlies as a trialist so SOD will not rush in.

Guediola story is common knowledge.Mokoena has signed for a South African Club, Friend is going to Boro, Shotton is true but Hutton another internet lie.

Agree0 Disagree0

Matt Derbyshire to return to Blackburn on loan with view to making deal permanent.
Ishmail Miller to be given opportunity to partner Blackstock up front.
However SOD looking to bring in Jordan Rhodes in a cash plus player deal believed to be Tudgay

Believable8 Unbelievable8

That sounds like a great deal will it happen heeeerrrrm no,

Agree7 Disagree1

I have also heard this, so looks like a reliable source {Ed034's Note - You wrote the original post mate, so I should hope you've also heard this

Agree5 Disagree2

Pmsl Busted!

Agree8 Disagree1

^^^ haha quality ed

Agree7 Disagree0

LOL owned by Ed!

Agree8 Disagree0

Ed for King!

Agree5 Disagree0

Would rather not let Tugay leave personally I still feel he is one of the few players that play with 100% commitment even when hes off his gave you get a performance from him

Agree6 Disagree2

Tudders wants to go back home to Brighton.

Agree0 Disagree0

Matt Derbyshire is not leaving. Am good friends with him. All he's doing is moving back because of his wife's pregnancy and is commuting to Forest for games and training.

Agree0 Disagree1

Blackburn do not want him, they have signed a couple of strikers already and Keane does not rate him. In fact who does.

Miller will be given a chance because no one wants him either!

Agree3 Disagree0

Pep upson and busazky to bel unviel..ed tomorrow along with sod . Also two young irish lads gary mc court and dee mcglade.big future in front of these two.coyr

Believable5 Unbelievable8

Have to say I'm more excited about these young Irish boys coming over they sound like quality & cant wait to see mccourt banging them in up there with dex surely mcglade can take gunters place! {Ed034's Note - I've heard this rumour a few times. Is there any proof of this??

Agree0 Disagree3

Any source, and not hp, sounds good if true. Also heard scouts scouting Germany!

Bielefeld Red.

Agree1 Disagree1

Any info on these irish lads where are they coming from, who they playing for, any stats ??

Agree2 Disagree0

What a crock...Upson! Also Guediola deal stalling is reason we are talking to Busazky not as well as!

Agree3 Disagree0

Cannot see any mention of Irish lads anywhere. Made up names?

Just thought id share this but i went to pick my forest shirt up 2day and the buzz round the shop was that sod has 15m to play with and is close 2 landing gudiola (spelling) and elakobi and wants billy sharp or rhodes as main foward wot do people think

Believable9 Unbelievable13

Bloody brilliant....doubt it's true though

Agree9 Disagree4

We dont need a foward plus we have dex so waste of money to be fair should go and spend the money on someone like kirk broadfoot he would be cheep and a DEFENDER

Agree3 Disagree9

Times getting on we need players else it will be a long season! all very well talking about Jordan Rhodes but we need to build a team first before we can attract players like him!

Agree8 Disagree1

Been told we wont be seeing Pep coming, as Wolves want more money than what was agreed between the two clubs in March, this looks as if will not be happening now, and that`s why we are interested in Buzsaky.
Elokobi may be coming, but word has it he may well be staying at Wolves!

Agree3 Disagree9

A proven goal scorer is a must, none of the current forwards can hit 20 goals a season (between them) We cannot keep relying on a 4/4/1/1 formation and expecting so many goals from midfield. Hope the money is well spent.

Agree6 Disagree2

Elokobi is figuring in Wolves pre season whilst Guediola is not so he is going somewhere.

Agree2 Disagree2

I used to work in the shop and they're not privy to that sort in info {Ed034's Note - I agree but rumours do go round.

Agree2 Disagree1

Balckstock scored 8 goals in 16 matches after his return from injury. Therefore in a full season why won't he have the potential to get 20 goals in 40+ matches?

Agree5 Disagree1

We will soon see what the new owners are about if we agree fees and try to sign the likes of pep, Rhodes,Elakobi etc,we will know that they are building for prem football and are prepared to spend to achieve this. However if we start getting in loans, freebies that are past it and average lower league players we will know they are not. so wait and see which way the wind blows then we we be able to comment from a position of Knowledge.

Agree4 Disagree0

Will people stop saying pep! He's the ex Barcelona mgr, not adelene guedioura! Defenders needed first, weve got 9 strikers, time to ship out some first.

Agree5 Disagree1

Would love to see blackstock get a chance to play alongside another goal scorer who stays fit ( like earnshaw few year back befor he went of boil ) would take pressure of and we would see him come in to his own still want to see some solid defenders come in first though

Agree0 Disagree0

So many ppl keep going on about how many millions we have, how do we know we have money? If we had plenty would we be bringing in so many from the middle east for free?

Agree3 Disagree4

Free!! In your dreams mate. These guys are on high wages and fees would be involved. Not some charity give away these are pro players on trial at club just like others such as Robinson.

Agree0 Disagree0
