Guediora was bought for 1.5 million as I stated yesterday... I have now discovered that the mokoena rumour is not true. There has been no contact from the club to the player or his representatives.
From what I hear, o'Driscoll is aiming to bring the other loanees from last season back to the CG this season with Higginbotham and elokobi on permanents and Wootton on a 6 month loan.

One name I do keep hearing is Paul Taylor (not the journalist). Sean O'Driscoll is a massive fan of the Peterborough striker/winger and is looking to seal a 1 million deal for him by the end of the week {Ed034's Note how do you know that is what we've paid for him??

Believable6 Unbelievable9

Exactly Ed, how do you know what we paid for him? I would highly doubt it to be that much. Wolves are looking to dramatically slash the number of players on their books.

Agree2 Disagree0

I remember seeing that Paul Taylor when we played Peterborough away last season. He was the only one that stood out from that Peterborough team so I wouldn't be surprised if SoD noticed him too

Agree5 Disagree2

Guedioura was signed for 500k elokobi and Wilson next in, elokobi fee was agreed same time as guedioura, only reason that's taking longer is because he's away with the wolves squad.

Agree4 Disagree3

So you've based your rumour on the 4 players that were on loan with us last season. Very imaginative.

Agree1 Disagree3

Yeah 500k for Adlene big George wil cost us more as he is an accomplished pl full back unlike the sulky Algerian midfield genius from wolves ressies

Agree1 Disagree6

Only reason it's taking longer wolves are booked in to an all inclusive watch your heads

Agree0 Disagree1

We originally bid 1.2 but wolves wanted 1.5 so I can imagine there might be a promotion bonus in there as well

RG09

Agree1 Disagree2

Who cares how much he cost, we got him

Agree5 Disagree0

Caldewood was after paul taylor when taylor was at northwich victoria, but then he had his "problems".

Agent 279

Agree0 Disagree0

Paul Taylor had a trial at Forest in 2008 and was rejected....is your info here as up to date as that about Mokoena?

He also received a 6 month ban for testing positive for cocaine in 2008....not done much and far better available.

Agree2 Disagree0

He had a trial shortly followed by another one.....not for us and included in all pre-season.

Agree2 Disagree0

Strikers wise tudgay and dexter did well last year and raddi scored a few so id give current strikers a chance along with trialists and look in january if we need to

Agree3 Disagree5

Mokena joined a team in south africa

Agree2 Disagree0

Peterborough want 2.5 million for Paul Taylor :)

Andros Townsend and James coppinger will be announced as forest players, one on Wednesday and the othe on Friday. Talks are also taking place with kelvin wilsons return and also George elokobi... He will eat you alive

Believable15 Unbelievable9

Don't want Townsend after what he did last year to Leeds. He can't be trusted with his agent.

Agree5 Disagree0

Coppinger yes, Elokobi yes....Townsend will not come to be number 2 to George or Reidy. Wilson is on far too much money.

Agree6 Disagree0

Wilson is a traitor dont want him...money grabber

Agree0 Disagree0

How is wilson a money grabber? if you was playing for a club you didnt support in the championship wouldnt you want to transfer to a champions league side? and he won the spl last season. its not great quality but if he didnt move he would have never won anything

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jul 2012 21:59:23
forest in talks with sasa papac ex rangers cb {Ed034's Note - From

Believable14 Unbelievable6

Along with every other un-attached CB in world football.

Agree3 Disagree1

He's a full back

Agree3 Disagree0

Thought papac was a left back?

Agree3 Disagree0

I think we are going to be linked with every defender avaliable atm
heard elokobi signing with robinson as back up

Agree2 Disagree0

24 Jul 2012 14:34:46
Makes sense and fills the criteria of a 'foreign left back'

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jul 2012 21:50:40
JJ defo not coming, my brother is good mates with him. But he has said that another spurs player may join. Didn't give a name, maybe Rose.

Believable9 Unbelievable13

Rose with GB squad.

Agree5 Disagree0

23 Jul 2012 20:31:29
I've heard that Derbyshire is in advanced talks with Middlesbrough, whether its true or just a rumour I dont no. So just passing on what I've heard

Believable27 Unbelievable7

Will he need a lift

Agree21 Disagree2

Doubt that mate he was training today.
if he was in talks he wouldn't be

Personally i'd like to see him stay and get more of a chance, not a bad backup striker plus if his wages are as high as i think they are then we're stuck with him! Ship off McGoaldrought

Agree11 Disagree6

Taxi already booked and im not going to charge lol

Agree7 Disagree2

Is it completely insane to think he may be a decent stiker alongside dex?? In a new system played by sod??

Agree9 Disagree4

Yes it is.....clinically insane!

Agree14 Disagree3

I can't remember him playing more than 2 consecutive 90 minutes and even when he did play he was playing under mclaren, and often coming back from an injury. i think he needs to get a decent run in the team before we judge him

Agree7 Disagree6

Nothing on the Boro rumours forum about Derbyshire?

Agree2 Disagree0

Too anyone who says 'people can't train if they are in talks' modric Is in talks with Madrid but he's still supposed to train

Agree4 Disagree4

I'm close family friends with the Derbyshire's and I keep saying on here, he isn't planning on going anywhere.

He had an awful time under SC who refused to play him due to a personal grudge and is ready to prove himself which is why he's been attending double training sessions over the summer which fans don't know about and don't appreciate and still say he's not loyal or anything like that.

From what I've seem and heard from him, he's raring to go.

Agree8 Disagree2

I've always thought Derbyshire could be a good signing, if he can stay injury free and on his feet. He falls over far too much. he scored some corkers in the PL for Blackburn, he's the signing I'm most disappointed with really.
We definitely need to sack McGolrick off though.

Agree2 Disagree0

I think Derbyshire might come good he isn't a hard working striker but good for hangin around in the box and nicking a goal

Agree2 Disagree0

Modric has been fined for missing training and gong awol so the theory does not hold...doh! {Ed034's Note - it does because the club, even though they are willing to sell him, are still expecting him to train

Agree3 Disagree0

Buy one get one free...take Derbyshire and get McGoldrick free.

Agree5 Disagree0

It doesnt Ed because the guy said he is in talks and is training.......used Modric as an example of player in talks and training. but Modic was awol and fined for it.

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair to derbyshire he's the only player ive seen alot down david llyods in the close season so obviously been putting in the effort on his fitness. Now all he needs to do is swap his ice skates for some football boots so he can stay on his feet a bit more

Agree1 Disagree0

Andy Reid has been working hard has lost a lot of weight and is dare I say looking trim wish Lewis would do the same

Agree2 Disagree0

Looking forward to seeing reidy again..end of last season he was brilliant

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jul 2012 20:30:29
is it true that the deal for Pep included Elokobi but as he was away on pre season tour his part of the deal has to be complete later in the week to give him time to get back for a medical etc.?

Believable13 Unbelievable2

I've heard this too from several people, I hope it's true

Agree7 Disagree1

What both for 500k i dont think so, but if pep is 500k elokobi might be 250k that would be good deals at long last good deals in forest favour

Agree8 Disagree2

Wolves fan in peace you have probably signed the best two playerson wolves books with the exception of hennesey de Vries ikeme foley Johnson Berra ward Craddock Stearman ward kightly henry Davis ohara Edwards Hamilton Jarvis Johnson milijas Ishmael record fletcher sighurdson Doyle hunt Jarvis noble zubar McCarthy Connor and mutch

Agree0 Disagree10

Wolves fan above, just remind me who was awarded you goal of the season last season??

Agree6 Disagree1

Wolves fan those players got you relegated jog on

Agree7 Disagree2

The fact that a Wolves fan goes to the trouble of coming on a Forest forum to make a 'gag' can only mean one thing! - Like most Wolves fans, he's gutted! ha ha!

Agree5 Disagree0

23 Jul 2012 18:53:20
According to owners forest aint intrested in jenas its just been said on EMT REDMAN

Believable9 Unbelievable6

If they said they were then the price would go up. Tactics but who needs Jenas?

Agree4 Disagree2

Jj would be good but think his wages mite be a prob {red west}

Agree4 Disagree0

Jj has quality and experience
him guedioura reid and cohen would destroy every midfield and moussi mcgugan and raddi in reserve
sell greening

Agree4 Disagree1

23 Jul 2012 18:51:39
the next players in either tonight or tomorow is kasper gorkss and kelvin wilson not bad if you ask me

Believable6 Unbelievable21

Wilson not welcome, Gorkss would be nice but no chance.

Agree11 Disagree6

Don't want Wilson.Hes a judas. {Ed034's Note - I don't think people realise what went on. He said that he would be joining Celtic at the end of his contract and could he go now. Billy got a bag on and said no, then banned him from the training ground. I think he'd be a good addition and we should start with a clean slate. We know he'll give his all, just to try and prove his worth

Agree12 Disagree6

Kelvin wilson could'nt wait to get out of nottingham, let him rot in scotland, don't give him the dream ticket back home now he's found the grass is'nt greener.

Agree11 Disagree6

I wouldn't mind having Wilson back. At his best he was a better defender the Chsmbers was (minus the goals)

Agree13 Disagree6

Ed you are right he fell out with B.D and he froze him out he wanted me to use a forum so he could tell his story but this never happened .
He wanted to stay at Forest not leave you can disagree if you want or slag him off but i would like to see him back lets see if he can live up to the potential he was meant to have!!

Agree9 Disagree6

The club and BD both got it wrong over Wilson and pig headedly let ego rule what could of been a decent transaction? Just another out of contract player who wanted to go and better himself, his aim was to try to pl CL football but politics got in the way of a what should of been a simple thanks and goodbye.

Agree6 Disagree1

I agree Ed. We need 4 CB's, so Wilson, Gorkss if this is true is a nice start, and maybe St Ledger to go with Jamal?

Would like to see Greening and McGugan sold for fee's as we now have too many CM in our squad. Give Magic to free reins this season.?
Try and get rid of Goldie, Derbyshire, Findlay too, and bring in that 20 goal starter to play first choice with Dex? Sharp, Rhodes?
Need 2 wingers. But I don't have suggestions, maybe Al Matawi can play wide, as could the Syrian captain, Buszacky?
Get Elokobi in too. Freeman at RB.

I think we can debate the players, but I feel the numbers are about right, as are the players we should move out?

Agree3 Disagree2

Just like i said the other day,it was billy davies at fault and cost us 500k in the process by turning down celtic bid in january

mark d

Agree7 Disagree1

One of the many reasons why i am glad that Billy Davies didn't come back. i'd love to see Kelvin back

Agree9 Disagree4

Wont celtic need him they short of cbs {Ed034's Note - I don't think Celtic need any defenders this season

Agree6 Disagree0

I'd happily have Wilson back, I was disappointed to see him leave. As for selling players, I'd get rid of Miller and Greening... And Derbyshire, if anyone would buy him that is

Agree5 Disagree3

Celtic are very short on defenders ed! Lennon was in an interview 2 weeks ago on Ssn where he said if Wilson picked up an injury, they would be in trouble! Celtic are in the Market themselves for cb's

Agree0 Disagree1

I agree with ed on the wilson situation. whatever happend between billy and kelvin wilson we will never know the true story and to be honest i realy dont care either. we all know if he came back he would probley be the best cb in the championship so if he is cheap enough get him

Agree3 Disagree1

Celtic are not short of anything.. they have no competition whatsoever in the spl.... they can win that with semi pros...and they never pass the qualifying rounds of the CL so pretty much every player at celtic will be better off in the championship... not that i want wilson but just stating.

Agree4 Disagree1

If wilson is as good as you all think he is celtic won't let him go.if celtic deem him not good enough for the one team spl then why would he be good enough for us??? {Ed034's Note - You could say that about any older that moves clubs. We know he has quality and We know he won't take time to slot back in. I don't think he'll sign, but I wouldn't be unhappy if he did

Agree0 Disagree1

The question is does he want to come back if he does then we must take him back cos i know 23 teams and possibley 10 teams in the prem that would take him

Agree1 Disagree1

Well i bin on celtic rumours and fans saying they need cb

Agree1 Disagree1

Celtic lost 4-0 in friendly on sat night and fans said they need cb

Agree1 Disagree0

Ok the wilson thing is starting to annoy me now. would everyone please go to sskysports website. go to spl, click on celtic and look at the article called 'Lennon targets defenders'. He clearly states that celtic would be in trouble if Wilson picked up an injury! they arent about to sell him.....move on {Ed034's Note - Last post on this

Agree1 Disagree0

Wilson had 1 good season the rest he was dire he panicked like a headless chicken and scored more own goals than des walker

Agree0 Disagree1

I'd heard davies banished wilson because he tried to tap up another forest player on neil lennons behalf whilst he was still at forest.

you always have to take any forest rumour with a pinch of salt because of the rubbish people claim to know but that's what i heard.

Agree0 Disagree1

Kelvin Wilson has come back from tour in Germany with shin splints so he will not be going anywhere soon!

Agree0 Disagree0

Kelvin is not celtic class but he would still get a game at forest

Agree0 Disagree0

Wolves fans saying pep cost us only half million, and the majority seem pretty upset that he has been allowed to leave, great first signing!

Bielefeld Red.

Believable16 Unbelievable3

If half a mill then that a steel YOU REDS

Agree11 Disagree0

I know that we require defenders but I am so happy that we have signed the Pepster. We wanted him and he wanted us and it would have been criminal if he went elsewhere.

Agree8 Disagree0

The Ginger bird on EMT has said he is ours.

EPIC
He is the guy to build this team of ours around.

If we got him for half million, Double EPIC

BC Stand G Block R 28 {Ed034's Note - She's strawberry blonde

Agree4 Disagree1

Strawberry blonde or ginger i dont care lol if she announced the signing I LOVE HER

Agree4 Disagree1

Wolves are gutted went on their rumours site last night and few had pep down in their team

Agree2 Disagree1

More african sunset me thinks ed {Ed034's Note - ;-)

Agree1 Disagree0

Are you referring to Cooker Hood Jackson?
IERM {Ed034's Note - Lol

Agree2 Disagree0

Very attractive lady

Agree1 Disagree3

She is a tall bird. would love.....! {Ed034's Note - wouldn't we all ;-)

Agree1 Disagree1

I take it you are referring to Natalie 'curves' Jackson. She has one hell of a body! {Ed034's Note - Really. I can't say I had noticed

Agree0 Disagree1

Pity about that thing growing off her face though!

Agree2 Disagree0

Yeah but....... Can she play CB?

Agree3 Disagree0

Wolves u wil be sorry the boys a sulky chap drop him n he will be off to alfreton

Agree0 Disagree1

23 Jul 2012 17:55:11
Bit of news defenders wise, Rhoys Wiggins of Charlton is a target, understand O'Driscoll is a big admirer. JPT

Believable10 Unbelievable6

Great signing if we can get it done

Agree7 Disagree4

Supposable greg halford may be signing this week would be a great signing if true

Agree8 Disagree5

Halford is not a great signing. Hated by fans at every club he has been at, average player whose only benefit is a long throw.

Agree4 Disagree6

Halford is better than peppie at least he can chuck it far

Agree0 Disagree2

I rate freeman more
should get perch wootton higginbotham elokobi robinson and st ledger with freeman and lascelles as back up

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jul 2012 17:11:54
I Love Fawaz Al-Hasawi for signing 'pep'

he also says we will hear about more signings this week, Carlton Cole next

COYR

Believable13 Unbelievable13

No thanks to Carlton Cole, signing Pep is fantastic news!!

Agree13 Disagree7

Why would you not want Carlton cole in your side? Quality player. Can't see this happening though

Agree5 Disagree10

Can people stop saying 'no thanks' it drive's me crazy !! {Ed034's Note - Everybody after three....one....two....three.....'no thanks'

Agree3 Disagree5

Get in. Youuuuuuu reeeeeddddddsssss. The future is bright, the future is red! COYR

Agree6 Disagree4

He's good in fits and starts but i don't think he is a team player, nor one who gives 100% all the time. We need a good work ethic this next season, and more consitency. Not saying he is a bad player, just not someone who i think would fit into the forest side

Agree3 Disagree5

No thanks to Cole?
Why?
I think he'd be brilliant.

Agree6 Disagree7

Good one Ed

:_(

Agree0 Disagree0

Now on Forest Website with photo - get in there !!!

Agree3 Disagree1

I know everyone says they know someone etc... and no1 will believe me but just saying my mums best friends with jenas's sister... and she has told me he has been contacted... thats all.. but he has also said that dany levy has told him he is not for sale.. no idea why lol! but every man has his price! never posted on this before but yeah there u go

Agree4 Disagree1

Believe contact has been made, doubt we can match demands though :( {Ed034's Note - Emt say the owners have denied it

Agree2 Disagree0

Do we really need Jenas? Pep, Reid, Majewski, McGugan, Moussi, Greening, Cohen...centre mid is about the only position we don't need. Maybe take him on loan if Spuds will pay most of the wages, but we don't want to spending money on him. {Ed034's Note - I don't think we do and would much rather use his wages for a high class winger, that can frightened full backs

Agree3 Disagree1

Course we need him.If we wanna have promotion within 2 years, the we gotta build a squad.Pep amazing.Reid hopefully another good year to match what he did when he came in last. The moose is so in and out.Cohen will be solid without a doubt.Majewski is a bit in and out,but will maybe flourish playing the SOD way.McGugan is an exceptional talent, but depends which side of the bed he gets out of,so again I hope SOD brings the best out of him.Pass it backwards all day Greening should be moved on.Hes at League 2 level now.
IERM

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed.What about the homesick Dutch bloke?
Wesley Sickbeak or whatever hs name was?
IERM {Ed034's Note - I presume he's still homesick

Agree1 Disagree0

Do we need jenas? probably not. is he miles better than greening / majewski / mcgugan / moussi? yep! so if we can, we should sign him up!

Agree1 Disagree0

Homesick dutcj bloke - you mean Wesley Verhoek? He is playing for the Wally with the brolly at FC Twente at the moment.

Agree0 Disagree0

We dont need Cant Control from WHU, cant stand him hes over rated. theres bigger and better out there to buy.

ketnee T3

Agree0 Disagree0

It wouldn't just be jenas youd need to buy, it would bbe his team of doctors top! Guy is a sicknote

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jul 2012 17:04:56
Guedioura has signed on a 3 year deal!

Believable20 Unbelievable1

Ed034 can you please correct ed011 that the correct name is Nottingham forest and not NOTTS Forest on the wolves pages! Thanks lol {Ed034's Note - I will mentioned it tomorrow lol

Agree3 Disagree0

Excellent news

Agree5 Disagree0

Another signing tonight Two players jus seen going into ground now

Agree5 Disagree4

Jermaine jenas in the ground now along with Greg halford

Agree2 Disagree9

Hope you got the incontinence pants at the ready

Agree0 Disagree0

Two of trialists scored again Alfreton but then so did McGoldrick so don't get too excited!

Coppinger has been approached, SOD wants his experience in front of Freeman at right back.

Deal for Fitz Hall not finalised at Watford so SOD has made approach to his people. Would be perfect alongside Lascelles. {Ed034's Note -

Believable8 Unbelievable4

We've just signed Geddy! {Ed034's Note - Pep ;-)

Agree7 Disagree1

Wolves saying same thing, can't find it anywhere that he,s signed

Agree3 Disagree1

Dont talk stupid, neither Freeman or Lascelles are good enough you clown {Ed034's Note - On what do you base this??

Agree3 Disagree7

Hi guys, absolutely gutted you have signed Geudioura!!

Can anyone confirm what fee was agreed please?

Agree1 Disagree4

Nothing on website?

Agree2 Disagree2

Pep is a red dog!! Yeah

Agree5 Disagree1

To the Wolves fan Guediora signing for an "undisclosed" fee. Can't believe you let us have him, brilliant player!

Agree5 Disagree0

Any1 know who played in today's game? Who was the scorers

Agree1 Disagree0

Thansk for replying. And please don't. This is all Mick McCarthy's fault. You wouldn't have signed Geddy if you'd hired Mick. You ask any Wolves fan, Geddy is well regarded as a talent at the Club and we are all a little peeved you have been able to sign him up.

Good luck NF - see you at the Molineux. {Ed034's Note - You too

Agree7 Disagree0

Well if Arsene and Harry are clowns for rating Lascelles then I am in good company. Along with Mark Hughes, Coleman and Keith Curle for rating Freeman. What I am pal is a proper fan who knows the payers and what they are capable of and both are excellent players who will do well for us.

It is easy to trot out expensive and unsuitable names when you have little knowledge about your team...a glory poster. SOD knows his players and he will keep Lascelles and Freeman and under him they will flourish.

Agree7 Disagree0

Freeman is a class player and can be a big player for forest along with laschelles

Agree5 Disagree0

Hearing that adlene is at the academy watching the afreton town game today. Ed you will back this up if you followed my tweet message last night I sent you. {Ed034's Note - i do not know he is there, so cannot back it up, but i have had several people say he is close to signing. hope this helps

Believable4 Unbelievable2

WE need pep we need him now ....most important iconic signing we could make....get him asap

Agree9 Disagree0

Don't worry guys, he's signed now! COYR!! {Ed034's Note - Get in

Agree5 Disagree0

Adlene has signed .... Quality

Agree5 Disagree1

Where have you got this news from? {Ed034's Note - The owner on twitter

Agree1 Disagree2

There's nothing saying he's signed! {Ed034's Note - The owner has tweeted it

Forest are in talks with Doncaste Rovers' James Coppinger and Adlene guedioura is expected to complete his move to the city ground next week. Forest have also inquired about Jenas but wages are a big issue, Jay Spearing talks are rubbish.
JPT

Believable15 Unbelievable6

SOURCE?

Why on earth would it be next week before he completes his move and why on earth would you claim to know that?

Agree2 Disagree2

Why next week? If we are signing the likes of AG then it would be straight away. Of course JJ wages are an issue as he is on 45,000 a week. Personally don't go there because we don't want to be paying anymore than 10,000 a week and it will just cause trouble and unrest.

Agree3 Disagree1

Nice safe guesswork.....Coppinger and obvious target for SOD, Guediola already in motion.

Agree2 Disagree3

This all makes sense but why will AG complete his transfer "next week"? Its Monday and "next week" is 33% of the remainder of pre season gone!

Agree2 Disagree3

He signed on the same day you posted that... decent

Agree3 Disagree1

Klye bennet id prefer hes as fast as a whippet

Just heard that the main reason other mangerial candidates turned the post down, was that Fawaz wanted/wants to be the DOF. Not sure if this is good news or bad tbf. Just passing on the info.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

He can be the next primeminister for me, Id vote for him. Chugs

Agree5 Disagree1

I'd like to see Paul Hart as DoF, much prefer him than these links with Coppell

Agree4 Disagree0

It's his club isn't it

Agree1 Disagree0

Utter rubbish. {Ed034's Note -

Agree2 Disagree0

What a load of cobblers. Who told you that cause nobody knows any info like that but themselves?

Agree1 Disagree0

OP - I was told by a family friend who was the scout for Wolves, i know Wolves are nothing to do with NFFC but the footballing world is very small. He aswel as my In-law (J. Froggatt - used to play in the 60's) are friends to MM and Warnock who both said the same things. Also i know Fawaz used to be the manager of his club in Kuwait so it isn't that far fetched!

Nottingham Forest will complete the signing of highly rated Croatian striker Ivan Klasnic. The 32 year-old is currently a free agent after leaving the club on 16th May.

Believable7 Unbelievable10

Not a chance unless he wants to become a centre back instead.

forest are wanting to talk to zak whitbread

Believable5 Unbelievable8

Whitbread has singed for Leicester earlier today I'm afraid.

Agree7 Disagree8

Old news, been saying this for a week and a good addition he would be. Classy ball playing centre half.

Agree2 Disagree0

According to ssn he is wanted by fester

Agree2 Disagree0

Whitbreads in talks with leicester according to most papers and bbc sport

Agree3 Disagree1

Yes please. Alto he is in talks with the fox...... COYR

Agree1 Disagree0

If Whitbread does choose to be 3rd choice at Leicester then good luck to him but expect Sean St Ledger to leave and he would be a better buy!

Rumours coming from Portsmouth that we've made enquiries about Greg Halford.

Believable5 Unbelievable5

Every available player at Portsmouth will be linked with us. Halford is a below average utility player.

Agree6 Disagree5

To be honest I feel desperately sorry for Pompey fans but I think we should go and get Halford and Lawrence as we could pick them up so cheap because Pompey have to get rid of them and we might as well do it before somebody beats us to it.

Agree7 Disagree2

I dont see the point in goin out n buy players for players sake we need quality n youth blended with a bit of experince , just let the manger n new owners do their thing n then judge cum opening day wen we watch the reds cum out the tunnel agenst bristol

Agree1 Disagree1

23 Jul 2012 11:09:56
Would like to see some of the healthier clubs assist Portsmouth to reduce their wage bills to alleviate the threat of bankrupcy. We don't want the farce of the Scottish model bringing the English leagues into disrepute. Our predicament was very similar an there for the grace of. We cauld do worce than Lawrence and the price would be good it's the wages they need to get rid or administarors could make players redundant. They may not sit hoping their inflated wages hold out too long.

Believable8 Unbelievable10

With all the sympathy I have for portsmouth - shouldnt they have been run responsibly in the first place?

Agree10 Disagree0

You don't buy players on the basis of feeling sorry for clubs like Portsmouth the board, managers, owners knew what they were doing! The only people that i feel sorry for is the supporters.

Agree9 Disagree0

Sorry but no, Portsmouth got out of trouble then carried on in same way and got caught out again. Some players have taken wage drops but others refused so onus is not on other clubs to help out by buying players they may not want or need.

Agree4 Disagree0

Do you honestly think Pompey would be helping us if it was the other way round? Doubt it....plus the players are refusing to take pay cuts, if they really cared about the club they would! They shouldn't have made high wage contracts with the players, that's why clubs have a wage cap! Nobody helped Wimbledon!

They got themselves into the mess and now they pay the consequence.

RG09

Agree7 Disagree0

I think we must have a Portsmouth fan amongst our ranks! I have every sympathy for the fans of the club, however Portsmouth are the perfect example of the worst possible piece of business management in the Football League and deserve no sympathy on any level other than for the fans. To expect us to buy a player just for the sake of it, when we can probably find a better player elsewhere is ridiculous! Why look to Portsmouth's players when we can look much higher? The majority of the players still at the club aren't concerned enough to help the club out off the field so why should we bother?

Agree1 Disagree0

I wrote this and I believe the supporters are the ones who suffer and we were veery close to being in the same position. I did'nt say buy players they don't want I am a business man thats why I said could get some quality players at low transfer costs because if they are made redundant the club will not benefit. Nice to have the benefit of hindsight to say where the mistakes came. Weren't some of you calling for Harry to come here.

Agree1 Disagree2

Nope not once, I am happy with SOD and the hindsight thing is bull. Portsmouth did this to themselves......TWICE!

Agree5 Disagree0

I believe this was what Pompy did to themselves but they have been docked points for the same failing. The administrators came out of the club before it was financially sound and they are so called experts. The administrators then had to come in again. I seem to remember on this site a few stating that we have settled for a low budget manager not the ICONIC manager promised. Well done you tho for not wanting Harry

Agree0 Disagree0

Portsmouth sympathy, like rangers, absolutely no way. Spend and borrow money based on optimism? Good business people base growth on reality and good forecasting , not hopeful progression. That's why I like our new owners, I don't believe they will be flash in the pan, theyX won't splash too much, they will slowly grow. SOD epitomises that, as does the signing of pep, slow and surely wins the race unlike the fester hares, I'd like to be a forest tortoise!!!

Blackstock leaving= a joke
Source = someone who knows him {Ed034's Note - be very surpried

Believable7 Unbelievable14

Not a chance.

Agree11 Disagree1

Never written on here as half the stuff at the most cheers me up. But watch this space. If he walks away after forest stood by him then it's a joke. {Ed034's Note - let's not lynch the guy. there is no proof anywhere about this

Agree3 Disagree2

Leaving to where? Anyone can come on a post that a popular player is leaving...back up what you say or go back to Derby.

Agree7 Disagree1

A London club is what being told. Not from derby I worked at Forest for 9 yrs. and played for the youth side against Sturm Graz in the eighties (useless facts over) :)

Agree0 Disagree5

Hasnt he just moved to Mapperley?

Agree1 Disagree0

A few miles out there pal and hes been there a year and a bit now fact

I posted a couple weeks ago that Jermaine Jenas will make an emotional return to Forest! Source: NEP 22/07/2012

Believable8 Unbelievable7

Jenas will be this seasons routledge I'm afraid

Agree11 Disagree2

This seasons routledge?

Agree4 Disagree2

He moves, like last season, Routledge was supposed to DEFINITELY come but didnt. {Ed034's Note - thats because we wouldnt pay his wage demends. we were only out by a small amount and hec would have signed

Agree2 Disagree1

Not to question the validity of the rumour itself (mainly because I'd love to see JJ back) but is the Evening Post published on a Sunday now? {Ed034's Note - it's printed very late/early morning and is out a few hours later. why??

Agree1 Disagree1

Sorry would much prefer Pep to Jenas return

Agree6 Disagree4

I agree with ed we didnt give routledge the money he wanted but the evening post said sod has had forest advisors to talk to jenas so it could be promising

Agree1 Disagree3

On SSN portsmouth could be days from liquidation, sad news could have been us in a mess if it wasnt for the al-hawasi family.
Jenas would be a great signing, would like some defenders first.

Agree7 Disagree0

We missed out on Routledge by 1000 a week! Was all down to Marthur!

RG09

Agree6 Disagree1

No that we care anyway because Routledge is useless!

Agree5 Disagree3

McClaren offered the pay the 1000 a week for Routledge

Agree4 Disagree2

What are you on about pep is not even anywhr as good as jj

Agree6 Disagree5

No he is better and not injury prone.

Agree3 Disagree3

Missed out on routledge by 1k a week, and was MA's fault!? well surely if we didnt run a business to the level we have been then would we be like pompey now? i think we need to give credit where its due to MA. yeah he has his moments but saying no to people isnt all such a bad thing... heres to the future with money!

Agree2 Disagree3

Sad old story and not at all true. Routledge fancied the Prem and who could blame him?
