i hope this announcement is worth the wait

Believable3 Unbelievable12

It was boateng lol

Agree0 Disagree0

What announcement? and when is it due?

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you missed the bit where it was discovered to be a wind up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Shut up, we all know there aint goin to be one

Agree0 Disagree0

To remind us all that you have won the european cup so you are a massive club............. or maybe that you have finally got a 34 year old has been in on a free........ priceless

Agree0 Disagree0

To the guy above, im guessing you're a leicester, or a derby fan. if the latter, pipe down, your 'big' signing is one of our cast offs. and if you're a festa fan, hope you're happy overpaying for players that wont take you much further. thanks and goodbye.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not being funny but that has been looks a class act twice player of mckenna so we have improved the side there

Agree0 Disagree0

I am Leicester fella, and if you have the money why not spend it. Obvious you are skint and going nowhere as camp, chambers and mcgugan have realised once obe goes they all will. Then it will be the wally with the brolleys turn still you have a replacement in the club a certain mr pleat willbstep in, trust me he is gash

Agree0 Disagree0

Thank god a leicester fan is on here to show us the light about our club and how to manage finaces properly... obvious we are skint as we are not willing to pay 5 mill plus daft wages for a championship cb...
Mate, if forest fans are in the dark over whats going on at the club then i know you cant provide any greater info than what we already have

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah what a daft sod. why are you here if youre a festa fan? because we're the big club round these parts, and i still think we'll finish above you, sven will leave just like he did at county. you've overspent and now pressure is on, and you'll crack cos you've paid prem prices for average championship players.

Boeteng on the OS

Believable14 Unbelievable2

Can confirm this is on the official site

Agree0 Disagree0

Been allocated the number 6 shirt

Agree0 Disagree0

He played tonight, and was absolutely fantastic. Good signing

Agree0 Disagree0

Awesome signing, his interview on forest player gave me goosebumps, haven't seen a player talk about the game so intelligently as he did. Knows his job, knows how to do it, could be the best signing we have made in years.

Nottingham Forest's search for a permanent left back will soon be after, as they have launch a £500,000 bid for Crystal Palace's Dean Moxey.

Moxey, who can play left back or on the left side of midfield, impressed at Palace last season, but has fallen down the pecking order after the arrival of Jonathan Parr.

Believable7 Unbelievable22

Why would we sign someone who was sent of twice against us last season?

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't be that good if palace are replacing him We don't want him

Agree0 Disagree0

He's got a terrible disciplinary record, got sent off against us twice last season, has no pace and would be a complete liability- obviously added by a Derby WUM

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would we want someone who is second place at the worst club in the championship?

Agree0 Disagree0

Worse than Parr? Dont want him at Forest at all. TorofNorway

Agree0 Disagree0

Was sent off twice against us last season. A poor attempt at a wind up, if derby got rid why would we want him? I'd rather have no left back than a carp one

Agree0 Disagree0

He also got sent off TWICE against forest last season (Playing for Derby and Palace - both away)

anichebe swap with mcgugan plus 1 million

Believable4 Unbelievable23

Get real

Agree0 Disagree0

And santa's real..

Agree0 Disagree0

We need a striker

Agree0 Disagree0

I'll have what you're drinking.

Agree0 Disagree0

Excellent, i honestly think we could do better than mcgugan. For all his spectacular goals i dont think that he is a team player.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 assists ?

and he's not a team player ?

All the teams that got promoted had a stand out player...

Have this on good authority. The issue with Routledge is Newcastle despite having accepted the fee are still haggling over various terms of the contract. He has indicated that he wants to come to Forest.

ND will shortly be doing his annual pre-season interview, so maybe a few things will come out during that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Or Eastwood Town maybe?

Agree0 Disagree0

Probably gone for a job interview.

Agree0 Disagree0

This reg is to a saab 900 85 plate perhaps he's had it pimped to look like a bmw either way wages shouldn't be a problem

Agree0 Disagree0

He's in monaco.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its the local farmer

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats my number plate and i am no footballer

Agree0 Disagree0

That plate's off a Saab 900 Auto from 1991 and so again hardly a footballers car. Why do people keep posting rubbish like this about registrations when it takes 2 seconds to check a car reg online. I bet you saw the plate R0N4LD0 at the City Ground too..

Routledge appears to be at some airport, maybe EMA, maybe Cardiff in his latest twitter post

Believable5 Unbelievable9

Or maybe the one back from newacastle reserves trip away

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe Schipol, maybe Newcastle, maybe, maybe, maybe

Agree0 Disagree0

It will be whatever airport newcastle reserves flew back to, not related to a trasnfer

Agree0 Disagree0

No you tail, he's been away with Newcastle hasn't he so he'll just be getting back

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep its the Newcastle reserve team coming back from their dutch tour

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes they have been touring the USA, and I cannot see Routledge name on any team list...

£2Million for Goodwillie, and then a fortune in wages cos if there are 10 clubs interested he will have plenty to chose from and nobody knows if he can cut it in English football. My opinion is stay well clear and spend our money elsewhere.Always liked Leon Best and Ishmael Miller and both are stronger target men which would suit us better.

Just been for lunch in Hooters and Wayne Routledge was in there having lunch, i asked him if he was signing, he said 'just a few matters to tie up, back at city ground later to finalise things'

AC

Believable14 Unbelievable25

Can you understand how sceptical people are going to be around this, I hope this is true though

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't think so, try again dreamer.

Mine was the first comment, and I've heard from some other people he was there

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree0 Disagree0

No it's true I saw him too.

Agree0 Disagree0

Was you asleep

Agree0 Disagree0

Hooters for lunch...thats funny

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolute rubbish mate

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont believe this, his tweet an hour ago mentions somthing about airports, so i wager he hasnt been in notts and has just come back from tour with newcastle

Agree0 Disagree0

Nope its true i was there

Agree0 Disagree0

I can asure you guys And dolls he was NOT at hooters . How do i know i work there and ive been there since 10am

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah I saw him too

Agree0 Disagree0

Can people not have anything better to talk about? Flipp sake if he was there well done to him and if he wasnt there well done to him again. FACT is he was or wasnt we still havent signed him so untill hes on east midlands news holding a forest shirt in his hands I dont care if he was there or not.

Agree0 Disagree0

I work in hooters and Wayne was not here

Agree0 Disagree0

Every single person saying its true on the comments is the same person who posted this, what a ....

Agree0 Disagree0

Hello their fans, this is N. Doughty.

I can confirm that Wayne Routledge was at Hooters, as we offered him a free lunch in a clause in his contract instead of granting him a signing on fee. This tactic was extremely effective in persuading Andy Reid to sign for the club, so have faith

Gardner a great back up for Wes and chambers. From the earlier post I have read I do agree chambers is a much better defender as Wes because of his distribution of the ball. Routledge is onn according to Newcastle also agree we do need a target man up front, I do rate all out strikers and will all chip in with goals, but would like so see a big man who can bang them in. Let's snap up goodwillie

Believable10 Unbelievable2

Does anybody actually know what they are going on about when they talk about Goodwillie? HE IS NOT A BIG MAN WHO WILL BANG THEM IN He may score us goals, but he is 5ft9, far from the 6ft+ strikers we should be looking at for that role

Agree0 Disagree0

Gardner broke his back at Hull...very injury prone, if he isn't getting a full time game he will never be fit, waste of money

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jul 2011 12:49:34
Forest should try to sign delfonso on loan for the season, looked decent against Blackburn in Asia

I was talking to scott loach's agent yesterday (i don't care if you don't believe me, but it's true) & he was saying that if Forest sell Camp, they will do everything to try & sign Scott. Apparently he's looking for a 4 year deal @ £12,000 per week

From what I was told Camp wants a crack at the premier league, even if it's with a team like Swansea

Believable3 Unbelievable24

He is on more than that at watford so aint going to take a wage cut is he

Agree0 Disagree0

Well I obviously know more than you because he's on 25,000 per month ar Watford which = 5, 769 per week

Agree0 Disagree0

He doesn't have an agent it's a family member who sorts his agreements/ sponsorship think before you talk s**t he's from Nottingham so people on this site who read things DO actually know him there's rumour then there's lies... Idiots

Agree0 Disagree0

He is on 1.3 million a year pal fact unless he lies to his dad

Agree0 Disagree0

No thanks, he is absolutely s**te Seriously, why is he rated? Look at the goals Watford concede every season then tell me he is good.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe hes crap at maths

Agree0 Disagree0

Correct he didn't have an agent until a few weeks ago, when his dad approached my brother-in-law I should know because he was talking to him on the phone the other day when I was with him Can't see why I'd make something up about a Watford goalkeeper 1.2 million a year at Watford, do me a favour son

Ths situation at Forest is simple, we are being tricked into thinking there is money to spend.
We have had bids accepted and have spoken to players, however we offer so little in wages the player wants to go elsewhere.

We are offering peanuts because we dont have the money.

Its a giant smokescreen

Believable26 Unbelievable12

I totally agree and it's about time someone said what EVERYONE else is now starting to realise

Agree0 Disagree0

When you see the finances and sit down in the transfer negotiations and produce a transcript of said meetings then i might believe you...BUUUUUUUUUUT as it is none of us actually have a clue what is going on, we dont know what players are demanding in wages and judging by the quality we have signed ie greening we wont be offering peanuts but realistic wages...kris boyd on upwards of 25k in the championship is ridiculous and you cant fault the club for not spending that.
What we all need to do is sit tight and see what unfolds as you dont know what is going on, i dont know what is going on... but i am excited for the new season none the less, keep the faith

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't know if there is or isn't money to spend. If there is money I have no idea how much it is either. The signing of Greening may indicate that there is money in the kitty and that we are offering wages that are realistic for this league.

The fees that some clubs want for players, Maynard being an example and the wages that players want, deems transfer fees and wages for some players prohibitive.

The loan market is much safer and may reap rewards.

Agree0 Disagree0

Perhaps i am very naive but it sounds like a proper nutty conspiracy theory to me.

why on earth would the club be run like this, to what end?

its a genuine question so please let me know why you think this.

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on mate. I've been saying this for months. No other club in the country would go this long without signing a PERMANENT Left Back. It's an absolute disgrace.

Agree0 Disagree0

What it is, is marthur plays hardball negotiations and offers roughly 50% of the players demands and works up, this is why it takes so long

Agree0 Disagree0

Im the original poster...I do not have any proof of contract negotiations, but what I can give is evidence of what has happened in the last 2 years... bugger all

We have spoken to Victor Moses (remember that transfer window) right the way through to Routledge.

Who exactly have we brought into the club, and look how many have been released with a re-sale value.

Why are the club doing this? My only guess is they are not ready to relenquish control and do not want a riot on their hands because it doesn't make the club attractive to any potential buyer.

As I said before, I don't have any proof, but can sit back and look at the "circumstantial" evidence that is being put infront of us.

David Poole - exiled in Cognac

Agree0 Disagree0

I think some people on here think that wages and transfer fees come from a different pot. It doesn't.

For example, lets say the board tell you that you have 10mn budget to spend this year. You can spend it all on one free signing (e.g. 0 transfer fee, and 10mn total wages), or a split somewhere in between.

So, Schteeve and Marthur will presumably be trying to work out who they can get on a free and what wages they will have to pay. What they really don't want to do is pay a big transfer fee AND high wages, which appears to be guaranteed if more than one club gets interested. That in a way is a good reason why we should all take what appears in these forums with a pinch of salt.

Given these scenarious, your best value is likely to be someone either on the up from a lower league, or on there way down from the prem. I think more of the second lot will become apparent the closer we get to the premier league transfer deadline. (And when clubs like Man City start offloading, which will hopefully start a cascade player movements).

Agree0 Disagree0

Moses went to a Prem club and if we don't get Routledge I'd imagine it'll be for the same reason.

Agree0 Disagree0

We have money available, what we don't have though is a stupid chairmen who gives in to greedy players (like leicesters have) and leaves the club in a perilous state financially. The signings we have made have been few, BUT have all been top, top signings with little outlay. We will sign other players before the window shuts, don't worry about that. As for the left back situation, left back is probably the most sought after position in football, we are not the only one who struggles to sign a decent left back. That said, we will have a more than capable left back in place before season start.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jul 2011 12:28:47
I, ve heard rumours about forest being in financial trouble, and thats why no transfers are forthcoming. I cant see this being true. Anybody else heard these rumours?

Believable8 Unbelievable15

It's simply jealous Derby fans.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's very obviously not true. Apart from anything else transfers HAVE been forthcoming

Agree0 Disagree0

We had the third highest turnover in the division and the smallest squad last year, but in the crazy world of Championship football we still made a loss, like almost all English clubs we are dependant upon the Owner to invest his own cash to keep us going He's chosen not to borrow money, rather to invest from his savings, this means if he stops investing he stands to lose everything he's put into the club over the last decade. Our situation is simular to Chelsea or Man City, just on a different investment scale.

I think Forest have a 15+ goal a season man in Findley but we so need a big target man maybe on loan till Super Dex is back

Believable19 Unbelievable1

You have no way of knowing this. He looked skilful, quick and composed against Stuttgart but his movement was average and nobody has actually seen him shoot.

Agree0 Disagree0

I bet any coloured money Findley will score no more than 7

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree Findley is just another tyson but with a better delivery, 5 max if hes not injured

Agree0 Disagree0

Findley is gonna hit double figures with a
10 + . His pace is quick and the cross looks good. Will be good to see him tonight , and what he has in firepower.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree Finlay will get at least 10 if he stays fit

are we going to sign any players this season E.G routledge, ver hoek ? we apparently have put bids in for them so why havnt we signed them ? i think the ap needs to F off n let someone who knows what they are doing take over

Believable9 Unbelievable4

I would think 20,000 forest fans would agree with you on that point

Agree0 Disagree0

The 2 million wouldn't however

Agree0 Disagree0

If bids are put in and not rejected, what more can the AP do? I don't approve of the way Forest do business a lot of the time but give them a break - if the players are waiting to see what comes along you can hardly blame them. We can't offer what a Prem team could and they'll be holding out for the biggest money move possible.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the one who said " i think 20,000 forest fans would agree with you on that point" :- just shows how thick a lot of our own fans are then doesn't it? If someone who moans about the ap can give me a detailed description of their job, and what they have been doing in regards to potential transfers THEN i'll respect their point of view, until stfu if you don't know whats going on

gardner can not play left back but a fantastic back up to wes and chambers, could even push wes for his place left bak will be addressed before aug 6th, if we are just going for frees and loans james beatie wouldnt not be a bad addittion, we still need 2 wingers and a big man or 2 up front who can put the ball away and that can wor alongside all the decent small strikers we have.

Believable3 Unbelievable4

How can he be a match for wes? wes morgan is our best defender. there is a reason why he was in the championship team of the year, as he is consistant and quality u even watch forest or u blind?

Agree0 Disagree0

Mac plays 4-3-3 so why do we need 2 wingers the midfield 3 of moose greening mcgugan the forward 3 of Findlay Reid majewski Anderson Cohen mcgoldrick garner Tudgay etc no wingers required.

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you trying to be funny nobody who comes in could push for wes place best defender in championship defo push for chambo place

Agree0 Disagree0

Chambers was probably one of the best defenders in the championship and some of his goals were vital, are you guys crazy, Morgan and Chambers will do and Gardner will be great back if one of them gets injured

Agree0 Disagree0

Wes makes too many errors passing out of defence and is often lucky not to get sent off more for his dubious last-man challenges. Great guy and wouldn't want to lose him, but he's hardly infallible. I don't know enough about Gardner to know who's better at this level though.

Believable0 Unbelievable9

I am afraid it is only that Chambers is being offered a new contract - this was meant to be great news given the issues with Moussi and Earnshaw this summer.

Not impressed - blackpool got rid of beattie because he cannot score they are after goodwillie has he not just a fantastic striker who knows where the goal is and has a massive future and will be number 1 for Scotland next year. 2 million that's all it takes and yet we are faffing around. He would bang the goals in and be worth double that. I'm sure us fans would do a better job than that ridiculous board.

Believable4 Unbelievable4

Forest dont want to spend any money

Agree0 Disagree0

When will people realise we dont want to spend any money. Seems like we spent all the budget for the next 5 years in the summer '09. Greening IS our big money signing this summer. Cohen or Gunter will be left back again.

Agree0 Disagree0

Goodwillie has had one good season in a Mickey Mouse League. He has clearly had off the field issues and strikers from Scotland have a poor record of adjusting to English Football. We need an experienced Number 9 not another up and coming.
Rangers clearly want him but are trying to chip the price. Blackpool are the stalking horse.

No 1 in Scotland equals No 94 in england.

The papers today are having a laugh, camp is going nowhere and routledge according to db is nowhere near a move to Swansea and never has been. Not to impressed with us after James beatie he hasn't scored for about 10 years would much rather have had Kris boyd at least he new wear the net was. We do need a quality big man up there don't think it's beattie. On the flip side Gardner a great signing as cb back up, looked brilliant at palace last year.

Why still the obsession with a big striker?Owen, Chicharito, Messi, Villa, Defoe, Wright, Bergkamp,
Fowler, Rush, Zola and then in our world David Johnson, Bryan Roy, Tony Woodcock. Some of these played alongside a big man but many didn't.I would love to play football from back to front and you don't need a big man for that.Barcelona and Arsenal spring to mind and they score for fun.

Believable6 Unbelievable1

But we aint Barca, are we

Agree0 Disagree0

Target man would be a better word to use. A strong player that can play with his back towards goal. Shearer and Mark Hughes good examples.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dex will do this when he's back but i agree mate, our best bet to get goals is with someone like findley being fed by majewski. i think earnie wouldve got more goals if raddy played more last season.
