Nottingham Forest want to take Alan Hutton on loan.

The Scotland international is currently plying his trade in the Premier League with Aston Villa, but he has struggled to make an impact in the Midlands.

Paul Lambert is prepared to let him move on for the right fee this summer, but new Forest boss Sean O'Driscoll hopes to take him on an initial loan deal.

The Reds have lost Chris Gunter to Reading this week, and they feel Hutton, 27, is capable of filling the void left by the Wales international.

Believable19 Unbelievable12

Well old. thats from last week?

Agree0 Disagree0

We don't want Hutton, a friend of mine is a spurs fan and he was their worst defender for a long time, before he went to villa he's awful and there are much better championship defenders out there i am sure we could get our hands on. {Ed034's Note - A friend of mine who is a spurs fan days he's a good, solid and reliable defender. I suppose it depends on whether you like him or not, to your opinion on him

Nottingham forest are in talks with Liam Lawrence and James Coppinger. Young Jom

Believable18 Unbelievable11

Hope so !!

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets get two 31 year old players that have just been relegated from the championship... one with some ability that may help us for cover.. why dont we spend a little bit more of that 'money' we have on younger, fresher talented players for the wing. even if its loanees

Agree0 Disagree0

Brilliant info as per usual Jom

Many thanks

Nottingham Forest have signed Nicky Maynard on a season long loan

Believable20 Unbelievable21

Rubbish!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope this is true!

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm sure fawaz would've tweeted this already if it were true.

Agree0 Disagree0

If anything they will sell him, not loan him out he is prop 4th choice now so anymore strikers coming in he will go to pay there wages

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a chance we have owners nowadays who let the fans know of any new signings before the ink dry's on their contracts

Agree0 Disagree0

No we haven't (thankfully)

Agree0 Disagree0

Why thankfully? he scored shed loads for City, admittedly he didn't do well for the hammers but not one of their strikers had a great season. He'll be a reat addition AND knows where the goal is.

Agree0 Disagree0

Possible transfer but cant see loan

nottingham forest are in talks with james Mcfadden

Believable12 Unbelievable24

No! just coz we have money isnt a reason to waste it on older injury prone players
stick to signing championship quality players that r reliable like pep greg dan and danny

Agree1 Disagree0

No they bloody ell ain't so stop lying!

Phil from Eastenders?

Further to my post about the Saudi Arabian it seems our Algerian triallist bouzid is on the verge if getting a contract. Will be given one more pre season game before sod finally decides though. He's peps best mate and that's who recommended him.

Simon

Believable16 Unbelievable10

Is he any good?

Agree1 Disagree1

I've no idea. I've spoke to a few hearts fans where he played a season or so ago and they said he's pretty solid but prone to mistakes. A loveable rogue one called him
Simon

Agree0 Disagree0

Where does he play? Is he the centre back? {Ed034's Note - Yes

Agree0 Disagree0

Sounds like mousse!

Michael Owen is in discussions with two unnamed championship clubs, one of which is believed to be forest. Source: ITK Transfers.

Believable16 Unbelievable36

Can't describe the passion I have for not wanting him. Massive wages just to sit on the sick bed? No thanks

Agree1 Disagree0

Owen likes horse racing and that's it. I get the feeling that football is well down his list of priorities. In the recent past we've had quite a few players like that, and they always fail.

Agent 279

Agree1 Disagree0

All hail the new andy cole, neil lennon etc!

Agree1 Disagree0

Please god no. I can't see the sense in this. We are not a meal ticket for 30 plus players who are past their prime. Onwards and upwards not backwards!

Agree1 Disagree0

No we aren't. Stoke very close to signing but wages a issue. Stokes wage cap is 40k so if wages a prob for stoke he's not coming forest on about 15k! Source? I'm from stoke and know 1000 of stoke fans

Agree0 Disagree0

We do not need MO he well past it, injury prone and score a handful of goals in 2 seasons! We want someone who is hungry and determined! Not someone who can't really be bothered!

RG09

Agree1 Disagree0

One snapped hamstring that would be a few million down the drain he is still a class player when he wants to be but he doesn't need the money anymore and isn't hungry enough for my liking

Agree0 Disagree0

Holy Christ NO!!

The posts I currently think need filling are a right back, centre back, 2 wingers, Attacking midfielder and a forward or two.
For these positions (in order) I reckon these players will be great for the Reds: Lee Peltier, Gabriel Zakuani, Chris Burke, Max Gradel, Akos Busacky and Nicky Maynard. No massive names, just very capable players of getting us to where we want to be.

Believable13 Unbelievable20

Peltier going leeds
what happened to wootton coz i cant see him getting in man utd set up with evans rio vidic jones smalling {Ed034's Note - I think most of the man u centr backs are carrying injuries

Agree0 Disagree0

Would perhaps take Burke but the others no thanks. {Ed034's Note - Gradel would be a cracking signing

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd happily have those players mentioned. I'm a bit 50/50 as to whether I want buszsaky though, yes he's a great player but he seems to be injured too often and he's 30 and would command a big wage but hell its not my money!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would we need a right back when we already have 3?also why would we want another attacking midfield player when we have at least 2 which can both score??

Agree0 Disagree1

Although I think lascelles did well at right back on loan at end of last year?? Could be wrong.

Mod red

Agree0 Disagree0

Attacking midfielder?guardiora, mcgugan, majewski and Reid if necessary

Agree1 Disagree0

What about a goalkeeper?

Agree0 Disagree0

I think freeman and lascelles should both get a run in team before buying replacements, both are highly rated and need to be seen !

Have been told tonight by a couple of my Kuwaiti contacts that Saudi Arabian forward yasser alqahtani will be coming over to forest shortly for a trial. Apparently Saudis most expensive footballer and plays for quadsia.

Simon

Believable14 Unbelievable13

Yasser Alqahtani is coming iv heard that to

Agree0 Disagree0

Another striker?
sell before buy or we will end up with dead wood and massive wage bill

Agree1 Disagree0

Did well for me on football manager with forest. Therefore I'm in love with him and he deserves a trial in my opinion! {Ed034's Note - Lol that's good enough for me

Agree0 Disagree0

We already have 6 on trial from that club, its no wonder there fans are annoyed! Its only the GK who is from a different club!

RG09

Agree0 Disagree0

Another middle eastern goal getting game winner? I say give him a go, why not, but we do need to get rid of some dead wood pretty quick

Agree0 Disagree0

This is false, he doesn't play for Quadsia he plays for Al-Hilal so there goes your rumour

Forest eyeing Sunderlands Healy, source ITV 1 sports site

Believable6 Unbelievable24

Scored 12 goes in 5 years... We want a goal scoring striker.

Got more pace with Denis Healy!

Agree0 Disagree0

Forest set to make a realistic but substantial bid for their "ironic" signing who comes in the form of Cardiff City main man, Peter Whittingham. Forest know it'll cost them money but Cardiff will be willing to listen to £5million+ bid

Meanwhile, Liam Lawrence ready to follow Halford to Forest for £750,000

Source - variou, Newspapers but be itll be in The Sun (Tomorrow's print)

Believable7 Unbelievable33

5million+?!?!? Are you having a laugh?!?! He's good but 2mil would be the absolute max surely! {Ed020's Note - 5 mill is expensive, would agree with you at 2 max}

Agree1 Disagree0

"willing to listen to a 5million plus bid"
I bet they are! Perhaps 1million would be more realistic? If he was that good he would be in the premier league by now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Here we go again I suppose Pratley is signing as well

Agree0 Disagree0

I think any championship club would have to at least listen to a bid of over 5 million for any of their players.

Agree0 Disagree0

Peter whittingham god u having a laugh

Agree0 Disagree0

Another CM? Come on you can do better than this! {Ed034's Note - He plays on the wing doesn't he

Agree0 Disagree0

5million could be better spent
i would like
chris burke
liam lawrence
le fondre
scott wootton
george elokobi
matt ritchie

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't care who we sign because I 100% trust SOD's judgement and I don't think the Fawasi's are anybodys fools. But I tell you this much....I am loving the fact that we can (in my opinion) probably sign anyone we want. Money doesn;t seem to be an issue and looks like players want to come to us.
We are (possibly) going places, how stupid must Chambers and Lynch feel right now?
I am not going to get carried away...we still need defenders but I like the way things look.
Whittingham would be nice, Maynard very nice, COYR

Agree1 Disagree0

He played mostly CM last season ED, although is equally a left winger and that's where he impressed everyone the season before {Ed034's Note - I think he's fantastic on the left, but isn't he the same sort of player as reidy??

Agree0 Disagree0

Ironic??dont you mean iconic?

Agree0 Disagree0

This one again. Cohen is back now and IMO is the best left sided player in the league bar none! Surely the BIG signing we all wanna see is JJ back as skipper? Come home JJ where you belong!

micheal owen in talks with Forest just seen it i
on sky sports website {Ed034's Note - Haha yeah only in the part where you post your own rumours

Believable9 Unbelievable34

Moving off topic of michael owen (only because im not sure how to post my own, on my mobile). I havent seen anyone mention connor wicham.....o'neil has already said he will lone him out, o'neil could favour us!?! Would be a decent move for both clubs

Agree0 Disagree0

Get real why would we want him

Agree0 Disagree0

Cause he is better then what we have might be a good reason

Agree0 Disagree0

Owen is old and a big headed person

Agree0 Disagree0

Said last week, M. Owen to join as player coach and "iconic" signing!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Michael Owen would be a complete waste of money with his wages over 2 years may as well bid for Jordan Rhodes!

Rumors circling around Earnshaw - i Live a few doors down from where Earnshaw used to live (at both Derby and Forest) and the house has been up for sale since last year since he's move to Cardiff however the house has been taken off the market and I've asked the housekeeper why and he said Earnshaw is moving back in and I've noticed an Audi R8 on the drive, yesterday!

Believable10 Unbelievable31

He has been spotted in Nottingham, and it can't be family because they live in Wales, unless he was selling the house finalising paperwork but usually an agent would handle that side of a players life?

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha ;) you live in that part of beeston and are stalking earnie?? He sold that house midway through last year. Derbyshire lives not much further down the road though can you go and tell him to sell his house ;-)

Mod red

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh and if I recall correctly earnie has a range

Mod red

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd have him back, could be the difference in the last 20 mins of the game...and the fans love him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well I was rob earnshaws window cleaner nd he crashed his r8 nd got a audi saloon so don't mess us around mate. But wud b nice for 2 reason. Great player nd I wud hav a window cleaneing customer back.

Agree0 Disagree0

I live close by too and have seen him there recently.

Agree0 Disagree0

More likely to go back to sheep as they are skint and in market for a goalscorer as Tyson will never score and Davies isn't staying. {Ed034's Note - Can't see that. The derby fans hate him and he and clough don't get on

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be nothing like the earnie when he left

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh really, because I happen to know the exact road he lived on as I live nearby too, so tell me the name of the road and maybe I'll believe you.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope so
come on forest
we will get a big name soon micheal owen

Agree0 Disagree0

C.Lane

Agree0 Disagree0

I used to be a taxi driver that had the Forest account. I know the EXACT house earnie lived in. He did have an Audi R8 but he smashed it up on the M42 one Sunday night. He may have replaced it but don't know. {Ed034's Note - We seem to be going over the same thing. I'm sure if there's any truth in it, it'll be in some sort of media tomorrow

Agree0 Disagree0

Would like a fully fit Earnie but he is getting too injury prone so will not be in S O'D's plans.

Agree0 Disagree0

Too right ed , it's all getting a bit childish. Can I add I have no idea where he lived but my dad is harder than all of yours ! {Ed034's Note - Lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Ernie, he drives the fastest milk cart in the west.

Agree0 Disagree0

Give earnie ya window cleaning round and u play up front for us

Rumour gathering pace. Kelvin Wilson had a medical & due to sign tomorrow. I for one think he would be a great signing.

Local boy & can play in this standard. Forget about before. We need to move forwards not dwell on the past. Right age knows the club knows the players.

Really hope it's true. My last post on Thursday was Halford & Harding to sign elokobi 50/50 so I am not doing bad

Believable20 Unbelievable19

I'd love to see him back, he was superb with Morgan. Good experience, strong, fast, good in the air, great reading of the game, can lead from the back, composed...........

Agree1 Disagree0

Wilson head butted Halford in a match between Forest and Sheff UTD so can't see this happening to be honest.

Agree0 Disagree0

They are all big boys now & it is a big boys game. Wilson will have got over it or he would not be this close to signing.
I would welcome him back. He is a decent player who had amition & got "Billied"

BC stand G 28

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice call, he did indeed get 'billied'

Agree0 Disagree0

He is injured so doubt he having medical lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Billy didn't sack him off Wilson refused to play due to an "unknown illness " to push his own wants through. I'm not keen on him coming back. What if we don't go up this year and a lower prem team comein for him? Will he have an unknown illness until we let him go again? We are his home town club and he has let us down numerous times. The Celtic saga and the sendings off at important times. I recall him beingsent off when we were still in with a shout for second and missing games.

Mod red

Agree0 Disagree0

Wilson would be a great addition, WE NEED CBs!! Cant blame a guy for leaving for CL football and doubling his wages at the same time

Agree0 Disagree0

Shouldny buy from the past. shouldnt waste our time on him either {Ed034's Note - I don't get why people say this. If the player coming in adds to the squad and improves it, surely it's a good thing he's played for us before as it won't take as long to settle in

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed get a grip mate he is not quality he is a money grabber who was no good at Celtic forest or Preston do you not see what this money grabber is {Ed034's Note - You can't blame a player for leaving because he's been offered more money. Wouldn't you change employees for more money??
Oh and just do you know why your other posts havnt been out on, try posting without using abusive words. You know what's allowed and what isn't

Agree0 Disagree0

Why is every one against Wilson it was my post originally. I would rather have Wilson than some of the names being banded. In case any one has forgotten at the minute we have 2 centre halves & 1 is untried at this level. Get a grip lads

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok ed thanks mate you have your view wich is fair enough but I want a man wearing the red shirt with passion not for money ty {Ed034's Note - We all do but they are still trying tozer money. Look at Rooney. He threaten to leave because he wanted more money and you can't say he isn't passionate about playing for utd.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh and ed just because I may not agree with you doesn't mean you are not doing a good job keep it up buddy {Ed034's Note - Cheers. Be a boring site if we all agreed

Agree0 Disagree0

I seemed to remember when wes and kelvin played together in centre of defence we went almost 4 months at home without conceeding a goal! wilson was great against the ariel ball and thats where we struggled ever since! would be a great addition as long as he stayed fit and commited!

Agree0 Disagree0

Wilson was a solid center back for Forest and was present during one of our best undefeated runs. It shouldn't make any difference whether he played for us or not, if he improves the team then we should all be happy to have him in the side. There's nowt wrong in trying to earn a bigger crust, after all, most of us all try to. Quite excited to see what team we end up with come the start of the season.

Have just been informed SOD will continue signing strong championship players to build a good strong side. Another CB , RB , left and right wing is priority. But expect 2 very big names possibly on loan. Have also been told expect these not to be jenas as he is unwilling to drop a league. Personally for 6 months I think he could do with the game time. Any news on actual players , I will keep you posted.

Aj

Believable4 Unbelievable16

Not a bad player,Anyway does anyone know how many season tickets we have sold so far for this season???

heard that freeman and lascelles are very much part of sod plans the owners have big plans for youth and these are two of the best we have

Really hope so bring these guys on and get them first team experience

Agree0 Disagree0

They will be our future keep them but worryingly they are in final year of contracts so SIGN THEM UP

Agree0 Disagree0

This isn't true for freeman. I work with his dad and he has been told he isn't in sods plans. Derby have tabled an offer for him although notts want him on loan again

Been told that Sheffield wed are interested in taking tudgay back a friend told me but don't know how good his source is

Believable7 Unbelievable19

Why would they take him back what has he done this season to make him stand out? {Ed034's Note - Works his socks off, knows the championship and is a good second striker

Agree0 Disagree0

No mate you heard wrong it's mcgoldrick they want and i will gladly drive him up to Hillsborough

Agree0 Disagree0

Amazing in the air, best aerial player we have by far

Agree0 Disagree0

If everyone on the team worked as hard as Tudgay does when he plays then maybe we wouldn't have been in the position we were last season, I can think of other strikers that need to go first

Agree0 Disagree0

I second the Tudgay comments. Great team player who knows what hard work is. We should be keeping players like Marcus and mentor them. Just think back to Gareth last season: mid season I would have gladly driven him anywhere away from the City Ground.
Somebody obviously took him under their wing.
OBTW: did that happen after SOD came in?
I think it might have!
Lets see if he can work the oracle with Ishmael, Tuddie Drbyshr & McGoldrick.
Who knows

Forest will look to finalise the deals of akos buzaky, kelvin Wilson, ryan hall and nicky Maynard this week.

Believable11 Unbelievable23

All the popular names in 1 rumour ! this i dont see happening ?

pinxton

Agree0 Disagree0

Maynard only one we need out of that lot

Agree0 Disagree0

Buzaky and coppinger next week with le fondre on loan I'd expect a proven right back too. I think we would be ready for a top ten finish then

Mod red

Agree0 Disagree0

Npot want Busaky hes past it we want younger hungier wingers...Kyle Bennet anyone? Wlison a journetman too, bring on our younger talent alongside our new experienced defenders - if we need anymore defeners I want big George Elokobi - not sure about maynard hes a mecenay and never scored 20 in a seson (i think) agian id prefer a younger talent up front with Dex.

If we motivate Miller and Derbyshire we should have a good enough strike force with Dex. Tudders tries hard but not good enough for - its wingers uyoung quick and deadly we want x2

Agree0 Disagree0

I would take hall and maynard

Agree0 Disagree0

I bet non of them sign

Agree0 Disagree0

Would take hall also read and posted that we want Burke

Agree0 Disagree0

And buszaxky and wilson and hall lol will give us more dephth

Agree0 Disagree0

So we only need maynard? the striker, when we already have many... we don't need the defender, where we're lacking? or the 2 wingers, when we currently have 0 wingers...?

Agree0 Disagree0

Adam Le fondre is a better bet than maynard and i cant see wilson coming akos could be true but lets wait and see

Bridgeford Boy2

Agree0 Disagree0

We could benefit from all of these players! Still a rather thin squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

Last 2 would be amazing but... Yeah.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maynard not a 20 goal a season striker?! He was top goal scorer like 3 seasons ago, if it where not for injury and moving clubs in the last few, dare I say he would be again. One of the best strikers for and in this division.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wilson got injured the other ngt shin splints so wont pass a medical

Agree0 Disagree0

Shin splints wouldnt fail a medical... you realise it isnt just to check injuries?. its to check general health, and how likely future serious injuries/muscular problems are. shin splints is a minor and treatable issue

Agree0 Disagree0

Wilson had a medical on Friday

Keiron Freeman is posting tweets that suggest he is leaving, and he is always tweeting the notts fans.

Believable20 Unbelievable11

Real shame if he goes. I still think he has the ability to be a cracking player for forest

Agree0 Disagree0

If true would leave us with 5 defenders (including the 3 signed last week) & Jamaal may not even be ready for regular starts yet. A bit thin, no?

Agree0 Disagree0

First Lynch now Freeman? why get rid of the best defenders? Whats coming in isnt any better! {Ed034's Note - Where does it say he's going other than someone reading a message and taking it the way they hope?? I've read it and it could mean anything, so let's not start having a go at the club for nothing

Agree0 Disagree0

Hold on to the young ones and bring them on ease them in DONT SELLL him or let him go

Agree0 Disagree0

It is true I know his Dad he has been told he can leave. Shame really but good luck to the lad. At least he is staying local as he is from bilborough

Agree0 Disagree0

DONT LET HIM GO - develop him!

Agree0 Disagree0

Freeman will be back up for halford.

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't see him leaving permanently he's got far too much potential to be sold on at this age when we're so light on defenders. I think the right back spot's up for grabs as I think Halford was signed more as a centre half. We'll just have to wait and see how many more defenders we bring in but I could see him going out on loan again.

Agree0 Disagree0

Freeman was the only player to do the full 90 minutes against Mansfield.
Suggests he is part of SOD's plans

Agree0 Disagree0

I can,t see the youngsters going these new owners believe in youth as the way forward
