Andy Carroll has arrived at west ham on a season long loan for 2 mill which will allow nicky Maynard to complete his move to Nottingham Forest {Ed034's Note -

Believable13 Unbelievable33

According to Sky Sports West Ham have distanced themselves from this story

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah thats what I said a little while ago hope it happens

Agree0 Disagree1

West ham deny deal for Carroll me owd

Agree0 Disagree0

Doubtful, just a "i wouldnt mind us getting maynard" turned into a rumour on here

Agree0 Disagree0

I sore it on BBC sport and I have now checked it else where. I reckon Maynard and blackstock would be a great partnership

Agree0 Disagree1

West ham now have 5 or 6 strikers so will look to offload a few. Sounds promising to me.

Agree0 Disagree0

Brendan rogers is saying that carrol fits in with his play and that carrol is happy at liverpool

Agree0 Disagree0

SSN says carroll not signed while BBC Sport say's he has well i for one hope he has coz getting maynard will see us getting higher up the league deffo - fingers crossed {Ed007's Note - There is no deal agreed with anyone regarding Andy Carroll.}

Agree0 Disagree0

On bbc news this morning on tv that the Carroll deal has gone ahead 2 million loan deal
Krazy_krok

Agree0 Disagree0

Carroll said he wont go to west ham, he'll only leave liverpool for newcastle

Agree0 Disagree0

Carroll will only go to Newcastle or stay at Liverpool. West Ham are being used to bring discussions to a head.

Maynard may well go out on loan once WH sign a seasoned striker. They have a better chance getting Kevin Davies or Rocky Santa Cruz!

Steed Malbranque signing either tonight or in the morning you herd it here first

Believable6 Unbelievable37

Nope, i heard it somewhere else first. He hasn't played for a year, so not quite sure he would be a good signing anyway

Agree0 Disagree0

IMHO he is too old and is past it

Agree1 Disagree0

He retired in September 2011 and is now 32 and won't be anywhere near sharpenough or quick enough, he is past it

Agree1 Disagree0

He did not retire for footballing reasons. It was to care for his terminally ill father. Would still be a great signing, could tear apart championship defences, give him a 1-2 year contract and once we're promoted we can bring in someone younger...

Agree0 Disagree0

Want flying young wingers not steed

Agree0 Disagree0

He retired, but according to reports in France he retired to care for his own son, who had been diagnosed with Cancer!

Alan hutton signing on loan
Also heard maynard signed on loan already
Thatkuwait gk signing on a free
Al mutawa signing (undisclosed fee)
Dont believe this one but owen in contract talks according to my mate

Believable17 Unbelievable25

Noway owen if maynard is on loan well cant see him here aswell 8-9 strikers in squad nooooooooooooooo way

Agree0 Disagree0

Only one of them i would take is Maynard I think we could do better than Hutton and if not we are in trouble! {Ed034's Note - Huttons a prem defender. We are a championship club and can only attract a certain calibre of player

Agree1 Disagree0

Maynard deal looks more likely now that Carroll has gone to west ham on season long loan

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be absolutely delighted with Hutton. Whether people rate him in the premier league, he would be top drawer in champ. I cannot understand negativity toward maynard. He was excellent in a rubbish Bristol team and had a very good scoring record. Hasn't worked out at west ham but he has hardly been given a chance has he? He would be a great signing. After that another centre back, a right winger and maybe a left winger depending on reids fitness and we will be there I think?

Agree0 Disagree0

Alan hutton would be alright signing ifnhe stays away from injury and keeps focused also look at that mutawas goals on you tube him and maynard upfront with that quintero ona wing and we will batter th championship next season
COYR (derby going down)

Agree0 Disagree0

Hutton - No
Maynard - Approached but declined
GK - Correct
Bader - Correct
Michael Owen - No + don't need or want him

Have on good authority, that forest will be signing amin affane.a left sided midfielder/wingback from chelsea. He is well thought of at chelsea and he will come to us to gain some first team experiance.

Believable10 Unbelievable22

Anyone know anything bout him

Agree0 Disagree0

He is 18 year old Swede and looks very promising. Kind of player worth taking a risk on IMO. Every great team has a confident young player in it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Attacking midfielder/fullback looks good on you tube but then so does everybody

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah i know he'll not come to us

Agree0 Disagree0

A left sided attacker or a attacking midfielder who scores his fair share of goals. Looks a good talent

Agree0 Disagree0

Nottingham Forest could be on the verge of signing Franck Moussa and Bouazid also John Oster could be signing after training with us today. Liam Lawrence also could be signing after Poortsmouth are trying to reduce the wage bill.

Bridgeford Boy2

Believable24 Unbelievable21

Is this Moussa chap any good, or another reject?

Agree0 Disagree0

Another reject i think didnt do anqything at leicester but did well on loan

Agree0 Disagree0

Only want Franck Moussa we probably would not even be looking at addy mate if he was not his mate and as for others rejects and old.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jul 2012 15:48:44
Moussa is 90% signed, Elokobi does not look better than 50%.
Bouzid-unlikely (depends who else we get in defence)
Bentley-No
Jenas-No
Couple of prem players coming on loan possibly (Vaz Te one of them?).

Believable9 Unbelievable21

Are we still after Elokobi now that we have Harding ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Vaz Te?

don't be ridiculous!

Agree0 Disagree0

How the heck can someone be 90% signed?

Agree0 Disagree0

He is all signed but the extra 10% is made up of one of his toes is undecided on what they want to do {Ed034's Note - Lol we all know what he means by 90% signed up. The deal is nearly done and it's just a case of dotting the i's and crossing the t's

Agree0 Disagree0

90% is he having a medical?

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe he signed on the dotted line but on signed mouss? A to be added later

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol, what i meant is the ball is in his court (or agents), harding looks like being the left back, so elokobi, basically, needs to make his mind up, otherwise the chance of Bouzid will increase!

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jul 2012 15:01:12
Kemy Agustien and André Filipe Alves Monteiro aka ukra are coming in on season loan deals from swansea and porto

Believable3 Unbelievable23

We have enquired about their availabilty although nothing is sorted yet.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jul 2012 12:47:34
Nottingham Forest have sent a letter to Al-Qadsiya asking the Kuwaiti club to allow Bader Al-Mutawa to join the Championship team so he should looks better than the tosh we got

Believable21 Unbelievable13

Would Fawaz not just get on the phone seeing as he worked there for 17 years?

Agree0 Disagree0

This sort of thing has to be submitted in writing, what with it being contract-related.

Agree0 Disagree0

Because things have to be done formally...

Agree0 Disagree0

If hes good enough we will sign him. i totaly agree that the players we have brought in are a let down. {Ed034's Note - Did I read that right?? You are not happy with the four signings so far???

Agree0 Disagree0

How can you say the signings are not good enough? These are all quality players with a depth of experience in this league. If they are good enough for SO'D; they're good enough for me. (I think a sheep may have wandered in Ed! Anyone got a big stick?)

Agree0 Disagree0

Every body keeps milking SOD like hes some kind of legend dont get it at all?
The players we have signed are former club rejects, so no im not thrilled with the so called quality signings.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think (and hope) he was talking about the numerous strikers bought in that are still on the bill that never performed ie Derbyshire, McGoldrick, Miller..

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jul 2012 12:00:51
Simon Gillett spotted down at the Acamedy this morning, looks as if the rumours of signing the midfielder are taking shape, hopefully this lad signs and doesn't do a runner like Wesley last season, promising player at he's Peak!

And I've heard Derbyshire may be loaned out for a 2month period (Crawley Town) to get Match fit, as he is part of S'OD plans

Believable13 Unbelievable18

I think he is nowere near the class of wesley so hope he does run off, not good enough and there are 5 or 6 better then him at forest now and thats telling you how good he is,

Agree0 Disagree0

If SoD thinks Gillett is good enough for the team, and can offer something, then that`s good enough for me!

Don`t you just love the "he`s not good brigade" football expert`s everyone of them!

Agree1 Disagree0

Ha ha, they make me chuckle too!

Agree1 Disagree0

Its just opinion mate, i happen to agree. We've got better players here already.

Agree1 Disagree0

Crawley have offered to take derbyshire for 2 months to get him match fit ??
and he said yes ??
to soon after the joey barton saga for me to believe.

I have heard that once man city have named there 23 man squad we have first refusal of the players Mancini wants to let go

Believable12 Unbelievable23

Like who? We might get a youngster or two on loan but anyone close to the Man C first team squad is going to be on wages we can't (or shouldn't, anyway) match.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its a 25 not 23 and man city still cover large part off wages and didnt we get cunnighnam off them last season so could happen

Agree0 Disagree0

25 man squad, for a start. and what would make man city give us first refusal anyway??

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently our owners have a good relationship with the city owners

Agree0 Disagree0

Cunningham = a youngster.

We may get some young players from Man C on loan. But we might get young players from any Prem club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Because the man city owners are related to our owners

Agree0 Disagree0

Related ?!! i think we will use the loan system to the max (5 players in match squad?) this year due to the lost time with takeover ?

pinxton

Agree0 Disagree0

Related? well, they're not. if you haven't noticed, our owners are kuwaiti, not emirate. not all arabs are related, you know.

Former Doncaster Rovers man John Oster is currently training with Nottingham Forest hoping to earn himself a new deal at a new club after becoming a free agent when his contract with Doncaster Rovers expired in early July.

John made over 100 appearances at Doncaster and has played for other clubs such as Everton and Sunderland in his experience filled footballing career having racked up over 330 appearances during his time in football.

New Nottingham Forest boss Sean O'Driscoll is good friends with John and has always rated him highly.

It's also known Simon Gillet is currently training with the Reds for a chance to earn a permanent contract.

Bringing these two into the ranks at Forest should also improve the chances of Forest being able to secure the services of James Coppinger as he'd be lured to the opportunity of Championship football and being able to work with former boss and team mates.

Rovers boss Dean Saunders is reluctant to lose Coppinger but knows if the right bid is tabled for the midfielder, there is little else he can do to prevent his move to Forest.

COYR!

Believable15 Unbelievable16

I take it this is cut and posted from the donny post then

Agree0 Disagree0

Why dont we just buy the doncaster team and go down with them, but cant see any of the three players coming

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you joking about John he is a derby reject and old

Agree0 Disagree0

We should be doing better than players like Gillett, we need a step up in quality instead players looking for a pay day.

Agree0 Disagree0

How do you know that Oster is at the club?

We know that Gillett is there, but Oster, who told you?

Agree0 Disagree1

I have nothing against Doncaster but what concerns me is we're supposed to be building a squad that is capable of challenging for promotion and were signing players from clubs that got relegated last season, surely if they were that good the clubs would have stayed up( I understand portsmouth lost 10 points but there are 46 games in a championship season)

Agree0 Disagree0

What do we need 1/2 Donny rejects for? Coppinger possibly but we are strong in midfield.Oster def not needed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Let's not forget that Norwich, Swansea and Southampton built squads of "nobodies" but had a fantastic work ethic (which we have been lacking for years) its not all about household names. Let SOD put a squad together and start adding to it later on when we have stability. We can't expect promotion this year, just remember where we were last season. BE PATIENT!

Agree0 Disagree0

I mean..... Oster! If this is true we are really scrapping the barrel. Surely we can do better than this. SOD and others will bang on about expereance, but it will be another cheap ass worthless signing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Did you hear the S o'D press conference last week? He said he's looking for player with 'character' and championship experience! Character in my opinion means mental toughness to cope with the rigours of Championship football! Not often found in lads just looking for pay days!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Simon Gillet is training with the Reds looking for a permanent deal.

Believable16 Unbelievable7

Sounds sharp! {Ed034's Note - lol

Agree0 Disagree0

The best FOREST can get!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope he is a cut above what we have already

Agree0 Disagree0

If he is cheap we could shave some money

Agree0 Disagree0

Looks like this guy gets sent off a lot

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently looking Razor Sharp in training today!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Didnt the blades want him?

Agree0 Disagree0

Another midfielder and a small one at that
his only offer to date is from portsmouth says it all, need better

Agree0 Disagree0

It'll be a close shave to see if he gets in the team

Agree0 Disagree0

He ain't good enough neither is oster we could do a lot better

Agree0 Disagree0

Better off signing Johhny Wilkinson

Agree0 Disagree0

Im being blunt he wont cut it with forest ill be bic later

Agree0 Disagree0

Is he really the best the man can get!

Agree0 Disagree0

He might nic a goal or two! A cut above the rest maybe!

Agree0 Disagree0

No way! he's got no Braun!

We are bringing over a Chilean under21 international for a trial this week. Not got name yet but will post when I do
Simon

Believable17 Unbelievable9

You just read the evening post too then

Agree2 Disagree0

Tomas diaz navarette

Agree0 Disagree0

The whole Chile U21 international team are currently over on a world tour and have a friendly against Forest on Tuesday before they fly out to Germany next week for an International tournament. I know this as I played against them in a friendly yesterday at Quorn for Lutterworth Athletic. Some of their lads look very promising!

Agree0 Disagree0

With our weather if he's not a Chilly 'un when he arrives, he certainly will be when he leaves.

Agree0 Disagree0

Navarrete's registration is 90 per cent owned by an Italian consortium, with his Belgian club holding the remaining 10 per cent man city gave up on signing him so that says it all, very good young player tho

Agree0 Disagree0

A Chilean U21? Does that make him a Chilean Minor... Arr Arr!

Forest have signed Khalid Al Rashidi.. Fawaz tweeted it in Arabic and i translated it. Signed on a free transfer

Believable14 Unbelievable11

True, but probably just back up for camp

Agree0 Disagree0

Very unlikely to ever play but more a commercial signing. It will help if a couple are signed because shirt sales etc will be vastly increased over in middle east.

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you sure it's the right Fawaz? He tweeted in English this morning to say that someone has set up a fake account posing as him.

Agree0 Disagree0

If its true it will be in English like all the other signings. There is a fake account in operation.

Agree0 Disagree0

Definitely true.. I have been following him since he owned the club and seen tweets of other transfers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thinh he will be no 1 if camp dont up his game

Agree0 Disagree0

Yet more news tonight in that rishidi has been offered a contract to be back up keeper along with darlow. Fawaz on Kuwait tv tonight! Also looks like Frank moussa has done enough to earn a deal. Probably see him along with the Algerian lad play next friendly to decide this. Personally don't think he's good enough for what we are trying to achieve. Thoughts ed?

Simon {Ed034's Note - He's on a free and nobody has ever seen him play, so what we got to lose??

Believable6 Unbelievable6

Wages {Ed034's Note - does it matter as it is not us paying for it?? in any case, i am sure his wages are worth the publicity it would create

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jul 2012 14:46:32
There seems to be a fake account on twitter

Agree0 Disagree0

Ofcourse thats what we need another goalkeeper sitting around!

According to a reliable source a deal for Nicky Maynard should be completed this week and also the Kuwaiti GK will be signing this week on a free transfer

RG09

Believable19 Unbelievable16

Hopefully this week we can get a few deals completed, Wingers and Defenders.

I get the feeling some departures too
McGoldrick should leave soon

Agree0 Disagree0

Please be true

Agree0 Disagree0

Everybody seems obsessed with Maynard. He did absolutely nothing at West-Ham and is highly over-rated.He is not a 20 goal a season striker and is injury prone.Would much prefer Sam Baldock.

Agree0 Disagree2

Over rated? He has got 79 goals in 172 games that's a good record

Agree0 Disagree0

In 09/10 season he got 21 goals in 45 games before he broke his leg, wouldn't say he is injury prone due to one bad injury would you say Cohen is injury prone? Also remember he was playing in a poor bristol side

Goalkeeper Khalid Alrishidi will sign for Nottingham Forest sometime this week after impressing on his trial.

Believable11 Unbelievable4

Apparently Ali Al-Habsi has said he's the 'best goalkeeper in Asia'
