Just got Danny Higginbothams signature in the car park at City Ground. He is on loan until end of season. You heard it here 1st.

Believable7 Unbelievable4

That's funny, because I saw a report earlier from an Ipswich site that says he turned down a move to them as he's weighing up whether to move to West Ham, Birmingham or Leeds.

Agree1 Disagree5

Finally, a rumour that turns out to be true! Could be a decent signing actually. Looks like the Ipswich site may not be the beacon of truth some people seemed to think..

Agree1 Disagree1

Higginbotham in

Agree2 Disagree0

Very funny actually, considering he's now a Forest player.

Forest player but was in Stoke tonight collecting boots etc.nice try.

A preimier league striker to come in on loan, whispers that it may be DJ Campbell from Qpr depending on how quick he can return from injury.

i've been hearing rumours about leroy lita? is this true ed's? {Ed008's Note - Unlikely as he only joined Swansea in the summer.

Believable1 Unbelievable7

I reckon you need to wash your ears out.We are doing nothing as thats all you can buy with nothing.

Just heard from a fairly reliable source that we are apparently looking to bring in Joe Mattock (WBA and ex-Fester) on loan. Would make sense as he's not playing for WBA as Nicky Shorey (remember him?!) is the first choice left-back and playing well. Only weird thing is that he's a left back and we've already got Cunningham and Freeman when his loan at Notts ends.

Believable6 Unbelievable3

I forgot to add - he has apparently the option of us or Brighton, just in case he goes there and you decide to slate me!

Agree2 Disagree0

31 Jan 2012 14:23:09
might make sense. it says on sky that the baggies might be looking to send Joe Mattock out on loan

www1.skysports.com/football/news/12691/7467743/Mattock-poised-to-make-move

Agree2 Disagree0

The two Premier League players Brighton are close to signing are the West Brom pair - Joe Mattock and Gonzalo Jara. #BBCfootball #BHAFC #WBA

Agree0 Disagree1

Freeman is a right back by trade boyoh but I like the sound of this! Cunningham can play centre back too

Agree1 Disagree0

Freeman is A LEFT BACK

Agree2 Disagree2

Freeman is able to play left back or right back...plays tight back for County and Wales U21.Also plays midfield so grow up.

Kelvin Wilson to return to Forest on a seson loanmd

Believable4 Unbelievable14

That would be brilliant but very doubtful. He's a Nottingham lad and good on the ball.

Agree4 Disagree5

Wouldn't want him back, disloyal and greedy.

Agree8 Disagree5

Would never happen after the farce of last year.

Agree9 Disagree1

Actually i think you might be right and theres always two sides to every story....just look at the situation were in now, things like this dont just happen over night

Agree0 Disagree0

Forest will sell Bamford if they recieve £2 million by chelsea

Believable15 Unbelievable4

If we sell him 2 chelsea i hope we include a sell on clause

Agree8 Disagree4

Good deal, Take it!

Agree10 Disagree4

When forest wanted to buy Bertrand for 1.5m, Chelsea said "that will be 4m please". I suggest we respond in kind. Or do swapsies.

Agree4 Disagree4

We are doomed...future is youth so said Frank Clarke...so we seem to be selling our best prospect...only forest vcould get everything so horribly wrong 0-2 down againt burnley now...we ARE doomed i tell you SC and FC just not up to it

Agree2 Disagree4

I couldnt agree more totally doomed SC can lose the remaining games and not score one more goal and nothing would happen to him I think FC has his hands tied totally or is a complete muppet out of his depth just poodling along getting his wage packet. NO ONE WOULD GET AWAY WITH BEING SO INEPT AT WORK FOR SO LONG WITHOUT GETTING A DISCIPLINARY BEFORE BEING TOLD YOUR SACKED ! But this dope is 2 goals in 11 not scored at home since November OMFG and he doesn't address the forward line ! McGoldnaught = Crap McCleary = Crap Tudgay= Crap Harewood =Crap Blackstock used to be good but since his injury =Total Crap Derbyshire = Crap Miller = So So so in a nut shell all out forwards are TOTAL CRAP.

Agree11 Disagree8

I thought this site was about rumours. There are plenty of other sites for you to abuse the staff and players and try and undermine any chance we have of surviving in the Championship.

Agree8 Disagree2

Ive got news for you mate, sitting there and saying nothing isnt helping. The team has got a major problem when they appear to have a player power problem. It doesnt take much to work out that a team that doesnt score fore 11 out of the last 12 games just isnt trying or we have a manager who is totally useless or both.
We need some big decisions making and quickly.
Stop PAYING the players until they stop this nonsense and start to play and show the manager the door

Agree6 Disagree5

I think the players are good enough not only to survive but to get promoted I really think its because they dont want to play for the manager just like they didnt want to play for Mclaren, the players have never got over BD but they have to forget him now hes gone and aint coming back although I wish he would....I dont think there able to sack SC because of his payoff would be to much its a case of relegation then maybe starting again from there....I would rather have a caretaker manager than SC though.

Agree5 Disagree1

Hi - visiting Southampton fan here. Sorry to intrude upon your current grief but after everything that happened at our club in the dark days of despair I felt I had to respond to the guy who thought this site was about rumours. I've got some rumours for him (or her).

There's a rumour that Portsmouth will avoid relegation. There's a rumour that Michael Appleton, despite being an untried and untested manager, has got the squad he inherited playing with pride and passion. There's a rumour that Forest will end the season at the bottom of the Championship if they don't DO SOMETHING quickly.

Get your head out of the sand mate. We had a chairman and major shareholder in Rupert Lowe who nearly killed our club - he couldn't cope with strong, ambitious managers like Strachan or Pearson and bought in a string of useless 'yes' men. Sound familiar?

Respect to all football fans who support their club but don't bury their heads in the sand.

Before I go, I've got a question for you. How come you've just sold your most promising youngster to a London club for 1.5m when we sold ours to a London club for 10m + 2m for appearances? If you can answer that you may start seeing the problems

Good luck

Agree5 Disagree4

Completely agree mate. I've got a mate who's a saint and he said it was the horrible. But look at you now. Hopefully we can sort ourselves out. If we dont stay up we'll just have to start afresh in league one and bounce back bigger and better!

Agree2 Disagree1

@ Southampton, firstly welcome and I agree that we have got a yes man Mclaren was not and quickly left for a better team our trouble is Mark Arthur who is here only for his paycheck and dont give a damn he sacked king Billy because he was opinionated and they hate that and it looks certain to end in relegation after 2 yrs of being at the top, I hope one day we will come out of this like Southampton did and storm our way back to the premiership as im sure Southampton are about to do...Good luck with the rest of your season and in the premiership next season.....Just give Derby a hammering before you go up though please.

Agree5 Disagree0

Easy to be smug now hey? OXlade Chamberlain not comparable to Bamford. Our ND is leagues above Lowell in money and manipulation. The fans did nothing at Southampton except bitch...you got lucky pal. ND has plans for Forest that do not include football. Its called asset stripping and is serious not a little yokel skirmish;

Agree0 Disagree2

To the fan that posted the everyone is carp post I agree with it all apart from mccleary. He is the only player that you get the feeling something could happen when he gets the ball

Agree0 Disagree1

Wasn't trying to be smug mate. As a Saints fan who now lives in Heanor I'm interested in what goes on at Forest (and at Derby). Agree that Lowe was more of a bumbling egotist rather than an asset-stripper. Disagree with your comments about our fans. We stood by Lowe until it was obvious he was harming the club. Some of our richer fans formed a consortium to buy him out but he wouldn't sell. He preferred to take us into administration. Then the fans started to 'bitch' as you put it. Relegation followed. Then a ten-point deduction. Bleak days but those fans you dismissed stayed faithful to the club. If by lucky you mean we've now got good owners and one of the best chairman in the football league then yeh, we got lucky. I hope you get lucky and earlier than we did.

Incidentally, I think you'll find that Oxlade-Chamberlain played regularly in our first team as a 16yo. That's the difference.

As I know many Forest fans who were really decent when we were in trouble I shall ignore your 'yokel' jibe - but just so you know, I have a BSc and post-grad from the University of...(wait for it)....Nottingham! Now that's slightly smug I concede!

Agree1 Disagree0

"mccleary. He is the only player that you get the feeling something could happen when he gets the ball"

You have to be joking, whoever wrote this.

Agree0 Disagree1

You were doing really well Southampton until the crap about qualifications....as I come from West Country yokel is no insult. Thats the reason Oxlade was more expensive, he had a whole 2 years league experience on Patrick who will now disapear at Chelsea and become the latest Nial Rodney....Quite a convenient editing of fans reactions..I was living in Southampton and that is not what I saw or heard or read in Echo..now Southampton has so many new fans it is not true just because of a bit of success. I have true southampton fans as mates and they think it is hilarious. Forest have 23k turning up now! We will not get as lucky as you because ND has plans outside football and does not need cash from Club. His mate Lowe did. I hear there are some great southampton forums...ta ta.

Agree0 Disagree1

The mccleary comment....yes you do get a feeling...the feeling he'll a) fall over or b) pass to the other side

Agree0 Disagree0

Irrespective of where you come from, yokel is an insult - read a dictionary!

Suspect I know more 'true' Saints fans than you! You and your mates should get your facts straight - average attendance at St Marys for the first four seasons was over 30,000 every year. Dropped to 23,000 after relegation and then to 18,000 as some fans started to boycott matches in the battle to force Lowe out (if you were living there, you'll remember that Lowe closed some sections of the ground as well). Attendance rose to 21,000 in League One and is now at 26.000. Some of that is due to higher numbers of opposition fans and some, undoubtedly, to 'glory' seekers. No doubt they would rise again IF we gained promotion. Point is, not much difference between us and you really! Its always the 'true' fans that suffer.

Still, I'll leave you to wallow as I return to the Southampton forums (you hear wrong, by the way!) - feel free to visit any time.

To the guys who wished us well - thanks. Not sure we have the squad in depth to achieve promotion but we will do our level best to beat Derby! Sincerely hope things turn out for the better for you - I remember when Forest were an inspiration to those of us at 'unfashionable' clubs. I'm sure you will be again one day.

Ta. ta!

Agree1 Disagree0

Thanks mr southampton, always nice to hear views from other supporters and i must say you put your views across very well.ive had some cracking days in southampton and our genuine best wishes are returned.just make sure u thrash derby dont just beat em lol

Agree1 Disagree0

Has anyone seen mcleary play this year - far better then anderson ever was

Agree1 Disagree0

That's what I mean! He actually has an end product. So I suggest all those fans saying he is crap get of your armchair and go to games

Agree2 Disagree0

Is this the same gareth mccleary who's crosses always go out for goal kicks? I don't rate him or anderson to be honest both dreadful

Agree0 Disagree0

Just a rumour i've heard a couple of times already today Thomas Ince to come in on loan till the end of the season, i see it as unlikely but would be a fantastic move for once!

Believable5 Unbelievable20

Would be fantastic but as he's one of Blackpools shining lights very very doubtful.

Agree10 Disagree7

Sack Clotnill now! Useless

Agree16 Disagree5

I must say Coterill is looking increasingly like a startled rabbit with his team selection...he seems to have no idea of his 1st eleven...Reid on with minutes to go...Miller starting...please!!!

Agree10 Disagree3

Miller is best chance of a goal, Reid should start. Ince already on loan.... {Ed003's Note - Ince is not on loan anywhere }

Agree1 Disagree1

Well done Ed, had not realised loan was made permananet at Blackpool. Bearing in mind he has played 16 times and scored 3 goals he still aint going on loan though! {Ed001's Note - he has a bit of an attitude problem anyway, hence why Liverpool got shut of him.}

Agree0 Disagree0

From the father's side presumably... {Ed001's Note - more than likely!}

Agree1 Disagree0

If Miller is our best chance of a goal...then we are doomed. Played 11 league games out of 28!! we knew he was injury prone and we still paid the big bucks for him and put him on a high weekly wage!! I hope I am proved wrong...but for me he was a mistake!!

Agree3 Disagree0

I agree. If Miller is our best hope then we have no hope. Even when he plays he looks nothing special and spends most of his time pushing defenders, falling over, waving his arms about and standing in offside positons.

Agree0 Disagree0

Miller and Dex are our best chance. Miller is a carrott player not a stick player and the sooner SC realises this the more he will get from him. Even McClaren worked that one out.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree Miller is a carrott player, And what eats carrotts? DONKEYS!

Agree0 Disagree1
