micheal owen will sign for stoke tomorrow

Believable22 Unbelievable20

Thanks for that:)

Agree0 Disagree1

Hmm, il sleep better now

Agree0 Disagree0

Can you not read? this website is called 'nottingham forest rumours' for a reason..

Agree0 Disagree1

Thank the lord for that Stoke must be mad, mind it's any easy commute to Cheshire, the physio's are gonna be busy

Agree0 Disagree0

Great player just a shame hes had so many injuries could have made a difference to the England team

Agree0 Disagree0

I jolly well hope so!! Dan T.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes it does say nottingham forest rumours ! but that for me also means i want to know where else the players we may be after end up ? if this is true it helps to put our speculation to bed.

pinxton {Ed034's Note - We have had many a conversation about Owen joining us, so the post is relevant. If you do not like a post, ignore it, rather than moaning about it. This page isn't just about what you want to talk/read about

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with Ed, people should stop moaning about things so much. It is good though than Owen is potentially joining Stoke. A once great player but is far to injury prone and would be a waste of a fortune that could be invested in a player or even players that are gonna be hungry and much more effective at this level. Come on you mighty reds!!

Forest scout is at the ipswitch town vs southend united match to watch ryan hall

Believable17 Unbelievable15

I hope this is true, he could be that bit of class we need on the wings

Agree0 Disagree0

Hhhhaahaha chambers scored own goal

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope it came from a Ryan Hall cross lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Ryan Hall played really well tonight tormented chambers and the rest of the hapless ipswich defence sign him up quick before someone else do's

Agree0 Disagree0

Chamber own goal really did come from a ryan hall cross ! Haha ! Get him in !

Earnshaw has been in shop today I got his signature and Owen said he wants prem and vas te said his hearts at west ham no one else and Maynard said looking for a loan club!

Believable5 Unbelievable25

I went to the shop today and saw 2 people leavin the ground in a bmw with a crawley town air freshner hangin from rear view mirror, we must be signing them also

Agree0 Disagree0

Is that the same Earnshaw that scored tonight for Cardiff away to Cheltenham? He must have made his way to the game pretty sharpish if he'd been hanging around the Forest club shop!

Agree0 Disagree0

So much happens in that shop! I really must get down there more often!

Agree0 Disagree0

Owen was in your shop? Do you sell benches?

Nottingham Forest to bid for WBA's Gabriel Tamas.

Made his debut for WBA against Forest at the Hawthorns when Forest ran out 1-3 winners.

Personally think he is a terrible Centre Back who is an absolute liability.

Have it on good grounds from one of the senior players who featured heavily last season.

Believable4 Unbelievable19

This guy is an awful centre back

Looks like Simon Gillett
is possibly on the way

K.Freeman set to decide he's future at the club, by the end of the week, with Notts County waiting in the wings to make an offer for the talented defender.

Whist Fawaz still has over £5mil left for S'OD to spend, he won't waste he's money on "Past-It" players.

Believable6 Unbelievable18

We have spent an undisclosed fee on players and have an undisclosed budget so where 5mil has come from i dont know
hope freeman stays but cant see county having a million plus for him

Agree0 Disagree0

Only 5mill? they have not spent any of there own money yet!

Agree0 Disagree0

Nott's Don't have enough money to buy Freeman, and we should not even be thinking of letting him go

Agree0 Disagree0

Well they have spent their money covering existing wages and then committing to not inconsiderable contracts for the new players, for example

Agree0 Disagree0

If they hadn't bought the club we would not have had 5.00 to spend never mind 5,000000 {Ed034's Note - How about the fact that we are now debt free, or does that not count??

Agree2 Disagree1

There is a lot more than 15million left. S o'd is spending very wisely, which is good

Agree0 Disagree0

They have spent their own money as Gunts money went to Doughty Estate. {Ed034's Note - No it didn't as he was an asset of the club when the owners purchased the club

Agree0 Disagree0

Not bad to say the owners said they never discuss or set budgets.lol

FACT from the horses mouth.lol

Agree0 Disagree0

With some of em apparently not

Agree0 Disagree1

For buggers sake then spend it on young hungry players who are quick....oh err and play wide/wingers....we risk being the narrowist team in the league otherwise or playing people out of position...get at least a flying gen wide right player in of quality

Agree0 Disagree0

Seriuosly hope he has more than 5m, cos he aint spent owt on players yet. in fact he"s plus after the sale of gunter!

Agree0 Disagree0

Owners have done loads
- bought and saved the club
- made the club a global brand again by bringing asian players in on trial
- purchased 4 experienced players with no small wages
- appointed new manager
- been honest {Ed034's Note - but they havn't signed Messi nor Ronaldo ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Freeman and Lascelles have both been given assurances that they are in the future plans of manager, so very unlikely to be going anywhere.

alan hutton is thinking over a contract offered to him by nottm forest

Believable17 Unbelievable17

If this is true and he has to think about it then the answer will be no

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be solid signing imo
if we do sign him i presume moloney will leave freeman will be back up and halford will be center half

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope so very good addition to the team

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope so too good pedigree SPL EPL and champs league experience not dissimilar in style to Gunts likes to bomb on feisty lil mofo too be a quality signing we'd be about ready for our assault on the league then

None of the Syrian players will be signed before the villa match but some other names will be announced soon like a west ham striker

Believable12 Unbelievable17

Someone with the initials N M, lets be honest the start of season there will be a few dips but im sure once we settle we be a good squad, bring on the sheep and lets get the double over on them this year.

Agree0 Disagree0

Omar Al-Soma looks like a good prospect, Scored, hit the bar and looked lively in our 1-0 win over Chile u20's, played a full game and is only 23.

Bader Al-Mutawa came off injured after 38 mins and Feras Al-Khatib the Syrian played a full game, maybe these were there 'make or break' games?

Agree0 Disagree0

SOD will take his time to asses these players and he won't rush to make a decision so he will asses them as much as he can before jumping into a deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'll go with that mate just read it on Forest OS and although Al-Mutawa seems to have had the most hype Al-Soma sounded very impressive..

Agree0 Disagree0

Mutawa, Fadel and Rashidi are Kuwaiti not Syrian...

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought there was only 1 syrian on trial an maybe 1 coming over but not here yet ?
the andy carroll deal will help with our maynard bid (if true) and heard vas te wants to go to west ham ?

Fawaz Alhasawi confirmed that Sean O'Driscoll give the green light to have Khalid Alrishidi , Hussain Fathel and Bader Almutwa me for one is looking foward to see them in the mighty red coyr

Believable23 Unbelievable20

So r they going to be annoced as signings at sum point this week then REDMAN

Agree0 Disagree0

Looking foward to seeing these young men play they certainly seem to have the skill to play in english football

Agree0 Disagree0

I trust SOD to make the right decision but their is a big gap between the championship and the Syrian league.

Agree0 Disagree0

Heard a rumour Al-Mutawa has picked up an injury in the game this afternoon, not sure how true it is though or how serious the injury is. Also surely the perfect opportunity to test the trialists from Kuwait/Syria is against Villa on Saturday, its after that when we should be making decisions on these guys surely?

Agree1 Disagree0

Are these players eligible for a work permit due to syria/kuwaits fifa rating or does this not matter?

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont like the sound of all these trialists from joke leagues. The season will start soon and we need to get some quality into our team fast or we are looking at another relegation scrap.

Agree0 Disagree1

He has, it's on the os in the description of the match against chile, al mutawa limped off at halftime through injury

Agree0 Disagree0

From joke leagues, how frighteningly disrespectful , south Korea at the world cup anyone.....semi finals, greece euro champions.Have some respect for other countries whose fitness you can't question. The premiership with its abundance of foreign players. please remind me when England last came close?kids in our academy can learn the game, I'm quite sure eager foreigners can too. Riles me when we dismiss other nations, clint Dempsey , differ drogba, hazard , Cahill..... Grrrrrr

Agree2 Disagree0

31 Jul 2012 19:09:50
its not on his official you know what

Agree0 Disagree0

Not questioning their fitness, just QUAULITY. Thier football is way lower standard than our leagues. Will they be able to adjust? is it worth the risk? Its a joke that we are wasting time mulling over random trialists when we should be bringing in players we know can do a job at this level.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes better not sign the likes of Young Drogba etc might not be up to championship standard eh.But Honestly Do not underestimate the players we have on trial they are some of the best from their area of the world and we may find that some of them are more than able to shine in the championship.

Agree0 Disagree0

I do believe al-rashidi (keeper?) has been offered or signed a contract and al-mutawa (striker?) will be offered one ?

pinxton

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets just hope these boys theve brought over are hidden gems of kuwait football

Fitzgerald hall has agreed a one year contract with Watford and Akos buzsaky has decided to hold out for a move abroud so SOD will now turn his attention to the signing of free agent Paul Scharner who can play as a CB or CM

Believable12 Unbelievable20

Would be a solid signing

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree looked decent when I have seen him in the prem

Agree0 Disagree0

Paul scharner is better than both those guys. Would be a great addition at centre back in my opinion

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope that one is true. That would be a great signing

Agree0 Disagree0

Just the steel and bite in the spine of the team we need to mount a challenge!
Reminds me of the role Keano could play but not quite in his class?

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree would be a great signing good character to have around the changing room and would get in the oppositions face. A bit like a Paul McKenna personally see him as good option as captain if he was to sign. I have never had more faith in a manager at the city ground than Sod can't wait for team to be built and the season to start COYR!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be a great addition. cant see us getting him thoe will be competion from premier league clubs im sure.

twitter - Owen did have talks with Forest but held out for a PL move. Forest in discussions with two players, one PL (Not Jenas)

Believable15 Unbelievable23

Hope the prem player is a striker if this is true, we need someone who can score 20 goals in a season. {Ed034's Note - Would much rather thevprvem winger, but both would be nice :-D

Agree0 Disagree0

Can see this being true, just to double check we are not the new Man City, get a shoe in for next season after we have gianed promotion. Can never see us signing him though and if im honest, not sure he would fit in to the club very well either.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed we do not want him. He should sign for Everton to see out what is left of his career

I just got a blank update from the club. Looks like some imminent news...

Believable15 Unbelievable27

So you don't believe there is to be an imminent update, or that I got a blank update? Sign up to the updates and you'll see the latter is certainly true. As to the former, who knows. Either someone had a trigger-finger moment or there's something coming.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope it is maynard he would score a hat full, scored loads in a poore Bristol city side imagine what he could do with a decent team around him!

Agree0 Disagree1

Whats a blank update? {Ed034's Note - you can sign up for text updates from forest and the update text he/she got was blank

Agree0 Disagree0

I never got a blank update, and I'm signed up for the text updates!?!?

Agree0 Disagree0

Nicky Maynard did not score loads of goals at Bristol City.Check your facts.

Agree1 Disagree3

I've received none, sounds like a blip

Agree1 Disagree0

Alan Hutton agrees 3 year deal with club. Unveiled after Chile friendly

Agree0 Disagree1

It was a update, not a text

Agree0 Disagree0

45 goals in 124 matches for Bristol City

Agree0 Disagree0

A strike rate of better than 1 in 3 is pretty prolific in my book! Check YOUR facts...

Agree2 Disagree1

If Maynard came and not only played in 124 games but actually scored 45 goals in the process I'd be very happy with that return and think that would be considered a good signing. Some people haven't a clue what they're talking about!

Agree0 Disagree0

Van Nistelrooy was prolific,Van Persie is prolific,Messi and Ronaldo, Jordan Rhodes are all prolific. I don't class 2 in 14 games for West-Ham very prolific. There are better prospects than Maynard out there. If he was that good why isn't he going to play Prem football? Sam Baldock is a better prospect. {Ed034's Note - would you say torress was prolific?? i would for the way he played at liverpool. just because in 14 games he only scored 2, does not wipe out the previous recent years

Agree0 Disagree0

Also before his injury 21goals in 45 games again pretty prolific to me

Agree0 Disagree0

He has 204 appearences and 81 goals in all competitions in his career..... thats 1 goal every 2.5 games..... yeah i will snap him up anyday!

Agree0 Disagree0

3/4 of you are absolutely clueless. Ed034 and the poster of the prolific comment are spot on. 2011-2012 was a difficult season for Nicky, with the constant speculation of his transfer, then mid season he switches out to west ham and has to get comfortable in a different system. Up until this point final season Nicky's record was 1 in 2. and it has been that way since he first made his professional debut with crew. He would be a marquee signing if we were lucky enough to get him.

Agree0 Disagree0

What do Tony Woodcock, Garry Birtles and Nigel Clough all have in common? They all have a strike rate similar or worse for Forest than Nicky Maynard had at Bristol City. Birtles 70 in 212, Woodcock 36 in 129 and Clough 101 in 311. If Maynard brings his Bristol City strike rate with him he'll be loved by us. Oh by the way the other thing they have in common is they all happen to be legends at our great club!

Agree0 Disagree0

PS Trevor Francis 28 in 70. Nicky Maynard a good signing? You betcha! {Ed034's Note - you make your point very well

Agree0 Disagree0

"3/4 of you are absolutely clueless"

It was one guy who said Maynard didn't score a lot of goals. Not 3/4. {Ed034's Note - i think that would be a good time to leave this, at least until we hear anymore rumours about it.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jul 2012 07:29:16
Alot of rumours on Alan Hutton loan this morning, a few reliable sources say will be in talks with us and Stoke today. In my opinion a marquee signing for right back!

Simon

Believable14 Unbelievable23

There won't be any premier league loan signings until the prem clubs have announced there squads {Ed034's Note - unless they know they are not part of plans

Agree0 Disagree0

Whats happening with freeman and moloney then

Agree0 Disagree0

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't Alan Hutton play for Aston Villa?

Agree0 Disagree0

Great signing for us if true

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't see Villa not putting Hutton in there 25. They don't have even have 25 players to register!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hutton hasn't been a name mentioned at the CG, Nicky Maynard was approached for a season long loan but turned it down - reliable source from inside the CG

Agree0 Disagree0

Has everyone forgotten about Halford? First Choice he didn't sign on to sit on the bench. he can't play on the left, and our midfield is too packed. There is no truth is the rumour. But i do agree he would have been a good player, if we hadn't signed halford already. {Ed034's Note - he can play centre back though

Agree0 Disagree0

Hurrrrm lets think about this talking to us and stoke ??stoke it is then

Forest rumoured to be looking at James McFadden if cant sign buzacky

"Nottingham Forest have been rumoured to be taking a look at him if they can’t sign Akos Buszaky."

Source football lad

Believable4 Unbelievable21

We need fast youthful wingers - not bosaky or mcfadden both yesterdays men

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree certainly McFadden is long past it, but I never have rated him, not sure about buzsaky though he was injured for all of last season

Agree0 Disagree0

We don't need to waste money on either. Both suffered with injury and looking for final pay-days. {Ed034's Note - just because players are looking for final paydays, does not mean they would not give there all and add tto the squad

Agree0 Disagree0

Andy cole and neil lennon didnt try

Agree0 Disagree0

Akos Buzacky has said he wants to move abroad

Agree0 Disagree0

No thanks to either not what we need can I please have Maynard and Burke signed up I did say please {Ed034's Note - And me please

After an initial bid of £1.5m was turned down, Forest have had a £2m bid accepted by Bristol city for midfielder Cole Skuse who only has 1 year remaining on his current deal.

Believable7 Unbelievable16

Midfielder/defender bit of a journeyman dont want/need him not good enough

Agree0 Disagree0

He's a one club man...

Agree0 Disagree0

Bit of a journeyman? He's only been at bristol city. Tellingly Steve Coppell is a big fan of his....

Agent 279

Agree0 Disagree0

First reply is clueless and doesn't even warrant a reply, just checked and he's Bristol born and bred, and is highly rated by the fans down there, O Driscoll has made numerous attempts to sign him whilst at Donny

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would we pay 2m for an average player with 1 year left on his deal? We wouldn't.

Agree0 Disagree0

One club or many clubs doesnt matter...he is mediocre and no where near good enough for a prem push..nothing clueless about that statement..I have seen him play b4...have u?

Agree0 Disagree0

I work a lot in Bristol so as a matter of fact yes I have, and he is Loved down there, under rated. You called him a journeyman after being at 1 club his whole career so yeah that's clueless

Agree0 Disagree0

Paul Taylor and George Boyd are on the transfer list at Peterborough

Would both be cracking signings (Especially Taylor)

Believable12 Unbelievable21

Taylor yes. In his own right Boyd would be a good signing but I can't see him fitting into the side as aml is Reid's position. Reid can play amc and Boyd left but that leaves radi out and his performances deserve a shot at first team football.

Agree0 Disagree0

Taylor woukd be terrific. Not too sure about the Boy George, nice hair though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Forest scouts were at the recent posh vs Norwich game so could happen

Agree0 Disagree0

Taylor would be a cracking signing, not sure abouy boyd,ok he scored a good goal at our place but we did give him 2 weeks to pick his spot

Agree0 Disagree0

Not Boyd. I remember him stating last season after they beat us at the CG how 'glad he was that he didn't join Forest on a perm basis'...so no thanks.

Agree0 Disagree0

Neither good enough more mediocre players we need/want better taylor strike rate poor....

Agree0 Disagree0

Scouts watching Taylor not Boyd as he did himself no favours whilst he was here on loan

Agree0 Disagree0

What an person re: paul taylor mediocre remarks. Paul Taylor is wanted in the premier league, we would be lucky to have him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sinclair has a better goals per game return for Posh that Taylor. And we released Emile without giving him a real first team chance {Ed034's Note - Come on. Sinclair looked pants.

Agree0 Disagree0

How do you make this out boyd couldnt hack last time about just seemed like a mid range championship player

Agree0 Disagree0
