to build a side to challenge for promotion, SC does not need £20 million, thats spending for the sake of spending and will more than likely lead to dressing room unrest, give him 6 or 7 million and if the loans he pulled off is anything to go by he will get some cracking deals.

TRENT RED

Believable15 Unbelievable7

What a ridiculous "rumour" (which it isn't, by the way, ed). He can spend 6-7 million on players - good. If he gets 3 times that, he can either sign more or higher quality. How on earth is that bad?

SANE RED

Agree9 Disagree4

6 0r 7 million did no harm for billy got us into play offs twice

Agree7 Disagree1

The amount of decent genuine rumours I put on and they don't get on, and someone put something on which is just opinionative and gets on. Why isn't this in "banter"? {Ed034's Note - different ed added it. Must have ticked the wrong box. If you put a name at the bottom of every post you write, it will be a lot easier for me and the posters to recognise you.

Agree1 Disagree1

It can be bad if you spend like them bin robbers.
They paid over the odds with the transfer fee paid then compounded that by doing the same with the wages.

Agent 279

Agree2 Disagree1

Has anyone thought that the "20 mil" is including wages? So some of it might go on our current squads new contracts ie blackstock, Gunter camp and hopefully lynch

Agree0 Disagree1

Will people please stop referring to Billy Davies and 2 play-offs like it was some dream time in our history. We as a club have moved on so will Billys boys do the same. Please remember HE FAILED.

Agree5 Disagree6

Seem to remember Billy asking to make signings in both play off in the summer and in January but got denied by the acquisition panel and MA?! So that's the reason we failed I think you'll find!

FTID

Agree7 Disagree4

I would welcome Billy but dont think he is right for the clubs progression. SC brought some good loan signings in and kept us up in my opinion so he deserves a crack at the job. we dont need over inflated prices and incomes - a modest hardworking side will bring promotion. eg southampton - reading.

Agree1 Disagree2

No we failed because of his obsession with older experienced players and his complete tactical inflexibility.

Agree4 Disagree3

He failed because he spent his budget in the summer and then went begging via the press looking for even more money in january! the guy was in it for himself and never had the clubs interests at heart-some his performances were amazing but others were shocking and if plan a didnt work he had no plan b (remember being destroyed by Blackpool and charlie adam?)

Agree1 Disagree3

Charlie Adam? I think the person who cost us promotion was Dobbie, at Blackpool and Swansea, he absolutely inilated us! As for Billy, he was given 3 years to get us up, he was sacked after 2. I think he would have got us up in that last year. At least we played good football under him.

Do we actually know how rich Al Hasawi actually is? I can't seem to find it anywhere how many mills we talking?

Believable2 Unbelievable6

700 million - 1 billion, somewhere in that narrow ball park

TRENT RED

Agree1 Disagree6

1.6 billion is the figure that i saw

Agree0 Disagree6

He is worth around 400 million by himself but his wife's family are worth billions

Agree0 Disagree6

I heard similar to what man city owners have

Agree3 Disagree8

Wolves have some decent players, but Look where they finished last season

Agree3 Disagree1

Man Citys owners are worth 22.5 billion. The Al-Hawasis' are not worth that. Stop worrying about wealth anyway. A longer term plan for the good of the club is far more important than wealth and if he couldn't afford that then he wouldn't be getting involved.

Agree3 Disagree4

His personnel fortune is said to be around 700mil but that's him alone, his two brothers are in on it also but not sure what they are worth. if they do well then I'm guessing his wife's family will invest and then we will be on a par with man city!

Gertrude the red

Agree0 Disagree3

Fawas Al Hasawi on his own is worth 700 million, The Three people taking over NFFC and any sponser together are worth around 2billion

Agree1 Disagree1

There are many if's and maybe's here. The collective wealth of the three Al-Hasawi brothers appears to be in the region of 1.5 - 2billion. However, there is all of this talk about them being related by marriage to both the Kuwaiti and the Saudi royal families. It isn't totally clear how true these links are, or even if they have any relevance whatsoever. It could well be the case that they are realted to both of the royal families, but that the royal families have no part of the deal, or they could be involved. Only time will tell. If both royal families are involved then the collective wealth will make Man. City's owners look like they are tramps. If not, then we still shouldn't be too badly off! Put it like this, all of the d*rby fans that I know have already started to accuse us of "buying success."

Gives you a lovely warm glow, doesn't it?!

Have just been informed from a reliable source that cotterill will be the manager for the coming season but mr al hasawi will have a huge imput on what players he wants at the club.

Guideoura
Elokobi
Mills
Kightley

These seem to be on cotterills list but have been informed to expect big loan signings. Hasawi seems to be another fan of Peter whittingham, so expect our good old friend whitts to possible finally make the move now we have the money.

Will keep you all posted on anything else - Devon

Believable6 Unbelievable10

Would that be Matt Mills,Bolton have agreed a season-long loan for Leicester defender Matt Mills with a view to a permanent move - best get off FM2012 and read a newspaper.

Agree3 Disagree5

If this is the quality of your rumours Devon, don't bother keeping us informed

Agree6 Disagree1

Forest fans have a serious lack of imagination. Of all the players out there they end up making up rumours about the same old ones.

Agree4 Disagree0

If I see any more Wolves players already Guideora E banks Blake Elokobi and kightley linked be cheaper to buy there whole team no sure about Elokobi he is certainly not Premiership class need to buy for the long term. {Ed034's Note - I think he gives the team something different and the fans a cult hero

Agree5 Disagree2

Love how they say we getting players that have joined another club is it grant holt next

Agree0 Disagree1

Would love kightly and pep tho! Kightly and Jarvis ripped us to shreds when the spanked us 5-0 at theirs

Agree1 Disagree0

Read in the papers that Wolves have a squad of 45 at the moment, so may be quite relieved if we took a few of their hands.

Agree1 Disagree0

Elokobi has the fear factor and gets the fans whipped up. He was not given a chance in Prem so difficult to judge him BUT we have to get promoted first and will be looking at appropriate players so he is a big possibility.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wolves fan here, i fully expect you to sign guad and elekobi but absolutely no chance of kightly. We have a squad of 50 and obviously need to get rid of a few. Kightly has only 12 months left on contract and rumour is he has refused another contract but if he goes it will be premier. Hearing rumours of the hammers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think we may have a chance on mk just due to his injuries although agree he could go to prem depends if anyone willing to gamble

Agree5 Disagree0

What the hell !! u make as much sense as marther

Agree0 Disagree3

He's talking about a player called Kita at Qadisiya, nothing to worry about {Ed034's Note - I asked Ben Jacobs if it has anything to do with forest and he said nothing

Agree3 Disagree0

Dont totally understand this but sounds to me like the club and player to be signed don't think were serious about signing him. I guess thats understandable as Im assuming Keita is Seydou Keita of Barcelona.

Surely not, but would clearly send a sign of intent if we signed him {Ed034's I tweeted a journalist over there if this had anything to do with forest and he assures me it doesn't. His name is Ben Jacobs

Agree2 Disagree0

There's a Ivorian player at the club in Kuwait called Ibrahima Ketia. I assume it's him he's talking about? He's a 6'1" midfielder.

We are signing Seydou Keita the day after the takeover is confirmed.

from MEsports talk in dubai

Again, a reminder, ME Sports Talk have been told Nottingham Forest's 'Al Hasawi' takeover is complete. It is expected to be formally announced by the end of this week. Steve Cotterill could well be given the chance to gain promotion to the Premier League but the likes of Neil Warnock and Darren Ferguson have been linked. Harry Redknapp is free too of course! There is a transfer kitty of around 20m, while the City Ground will either be redeveloped or replaced by 2016.

Believable6 Unbelievable5

A 4 year contract for redknapp would cost all of that 20m

Agree6 Disagree1

Can you imagine mad man Joe Jordan at Forest? Bloody hell, right laugh!

Agree1 Disagree3

He's not saying we're after redknapp. It's a joke. He said it, yes, but can't you tell he's not serious about redknapp?

Agree3 Disagree1

It will not be nw as he is staying at leeds with a bit take over up there

Agree2 Disagree3

More likely to be louise redknapp

@Fourth_Official: Breaking News: Al Hasawi have officially completed a deal to buy Nottingham Forest, developments coming..

Believable11 Unbelievable6

Fourth official is a trust worthy source

Agree10 Disagree4

I agree but from what iam being told not that much of a budget to buy players {Ed034's Note - That's strange because everyone else is saying he'll be given a good amount. May I ask where you have heard this please???

Agree5 Disagree5

A mega sum of money won't be needed to get a good team together for the championship if the manager is good enough...

Agree1 Disagree2

Are you trying to say 20 mill ain't good for championship club?
We could make some very good signings with that if they are managed properly.sll depends whether it is 20 mill on players alone or includes contracts.there will be NO big name signings.big fees and big salaries cause huge damage to the harmony of teams.

Agree2 Disagree0

I thought he can only invest 6million for transfers this season under the new Financial Fair Play rules {Ed034's Note - Not heard that, but could be true

Agree3 Disagree3

Ffp mate

Agree0 Disagree0

My source is hp m8 {Ed020's Note - as in the sauce?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Under FFP they can make a 6million loss this season without penalty plus a personal investment. You will find that naming rights for the stadium and over inflated sponsorship deals will be the way the inject extra resources into the club to negate FFP rules. {Ed034's Note - So you can only spend what you bring in, plus 6m, I'm the first season or your get a fine. Next season the figure comes down. Do people think a lot of clubs might throw a lot of cash at it this season and accept the fine??

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought it was 8mil you could lose this season feel sure I read it somewhere but I could be wrong

Agree1 Disagree0

No not the sauce ed the man himself hes saying around 4mil to spend on new players like i said not as good a thing as the fans think this is just to get us to buy are season tickets ...... {Ed034's Note - If that's the amount it is, them so be it, but the whole conspiracy of 'it's just to get us to buy season tickets' is a load a rubbish and is getting a bit boring now

Agree0 Disagree0

Why read it then ed dont you like the truth that we are being robbed yet again {Ed034's Note - How do I edit posts without reading it?? Erm.....nope can think of any other way.
I take it as my club are trying to pull off some sort of scam as to make people but season tickets by saying this will be a big transfer budget and there won't be, even though the club have not said anything. The fact you have figure this all out, you won't be falling for it and buying one. Well I say this on behalf of the fellow numptie that have been tricked, we will really miss your support.

Agree0 Disagree0

So another day gone and still no takeover oh dear dont look to good does it ed like i ve said its all a very big scam ............... {Ed034's Note - Why??? It came out about the al hasawi group last Friday and these things take time. By all accounts it'll be sorted early next week. All the dates bring mentioned are by reporters and not forest, so you can't say it's not looking good just because we are all bring a little inpatient. It'll happen, trust me

Agree0 Disagree0

So ed why should i trust you if you have something concrete to say with a good source print it if not ure just speculating ........ {Ed034's Note - I read a lot of posts all over the Internet, speak to journalists and know a player very well and the consensus is it'll be done by the end of next week at the latest.
Now you do not have to believe me and I am not saying it is nailed on, but I would go all in on it at poker

Agree0 Disagree0

So you are speculating then ed because you didnt state who your source is we can all look on the internet and say we no a player very well like you ave said in many other peoples storys please give us the source of ure info ie names so can you {Ed034's Note - A player lol i am just going on common sense from what has been said, by people who work in the footballing world and from a player who i am friends with.
I'm not going to gain nothing by making things up, as I have a life.
If you do not like what I put, then dont read it.
Also if you actually read what I put, I stated I am just going on what is being said.
Can I ask you why you bother even coming on here if your just going to put people down??

Agree0 Disagree0

I didnt no i had put you down ed maybe you dont like to be questioned as you dont really have a source like you say your info is purely speculation if this so called player is your freind whats is name.......... {Ed034's Note - I know when you asked this you knew the answer and it was purely to make be sound like I'm a liar.
Anyways moving on, the two days next week that media both here and over there are saying, are Monday and Thursday. Either way I get to keep my dignity by not posting a pic ;-) lol

Agree0 Disagree0

That sounds like pure speculation to me ed still no true source and no actual names umm ...lol..... {Ed034's Note - I did say it is me putting together everything I have been told. Blimey I wish I hadn't said anything lol

Steve Cotterill has a lengthy shortlist which he will look into once he is given the go ahead by new owners. Includes Cranie (bosman) Craig gordon (bosman) Varney (fee) elokobi (fee) {Ed034's Note - I'll ask on everyone's behalf....and you know this how???

Believable3 Unbelievable2

I only want elokobi and gordon, we have useless strikers and we want better than craenie

Agree2 Disagree0

Varney has gone to Leeds

Agree2 Disagree4

A lengthy shortlist? by just saying that i dont believe you

Agree1 Disagree1

For a start Cranie is a defender who has played for Coventry and Southampton

Agree1 Disagree1

Will people please stop suggesting we're getting Luke Varney in - assuming the takeover is as we expect and we'll actually have money to spend, we'll need to be clearing the decks of deadwood, not hauling more on board. Class strikers, yes - not those who've never stood out in the second tier, let alone got a prospect of doing it at the top.

Agree1 Disagree0

I would have liked to see Wesley Verhoek on our list of targets but I understand he is now playing for FC Twente under a certain Steve McClaren. I wonder if he has grown out of his homesickness yet. A shame he got cold feet this time last year.

Agree6 Disagree2

I think there was more to it than cold feet wasn't. Marthur involved {Ed034's Note - He was mid interview with a journalist dating how he was looking forward to joining, when he just said he can't leave because of his family. Rather strange

sc has got ahead to conclude deal sign martin cranie on bosman to replace luke chambers & offers been made to elokobi & guediors at wolves

Believable12 Unbelievable3

How do you know this?

Agree2 Disagree2

Would agree with cranie as we have lost a lot of wages recently but as fees would be involved for AG and GE I would doubt that tbh.

Agree1 Disagree3

I find this hard to believe because the deal hasnt been concluded yet, so not only can a contract or a bid be made because budgets have not been set and there is still uncertainty around the CG as although there is positive news for once, its not set in stone yet.

Chambers has signed for Ipswich, now we need to get higinbotham, better all round,AND won't call his OWN fans!

Believable13 Unbelievable4

He had one good year, was a terrible captain and clearly didn't understand the role of skippers relationship with fans, even Gareth Taylor was capable of not slagging us all off! Bye bye chambo enjoy "challenging" next season

Agree10 Disagree3

Unfortunately Higginbotham has creaky old bones and as good as he was I think a full season would be too big an ask. Shame but we must be able to find a decent replacement slightly younger. I would try Danny Gabbidon who is available on a free.

Agree7 Disagree2

Danny gabbidon he injured more times than kieron dyer

Agree5 Disagree3

Don't worry about Chambo
SC is trying to get Wotton back from Man u on season long loan

Agree5 Disagree4

I hope not he was awfull

Agree7 Disagree3

Nevermind season long loan, we should try to buy him. He's not going to get in the 1st team, and they've already shown they're happy to offload their reserve players this summer to help with meeting uefa's financial FairPlay. Leicester have signed a couple already for example, including de laet, and think barnsley might have too?

Agree2 Disagree3

Good bye , mr chambers unfortunately joel lynch made you look less then average last season and you only got picked because of the band on your arm !

STEVE Cotterill will consider a £1m-plus double raid on Wolves once the Kuwaiti takeover of Nottingham Forest is completed.
Source:ThisIsNottingham

Believable22 Unbelievable2

Encouraging if true that article, though its worrying its been released before we can actually do any business. Pep for 750 would be awesome, we should buld the team around him

Agree11 Disagree2

Last week they knew nothing. Now they know players availability and value? Poor journos who actually report very little of interest. 2+2 = players that were on loan last season. Sky are reporting that SC will stay as manager. They know nothing either. Rest assured we will all know very soon.

Agree6 Disagree4

Or... they learnt the information recently. Really annoys me that sceptical and negative is the default mindset of a large number of Forest fans. Now, more than ever, we should be positive!!

Agree5 Disagree2

Adlene guedioura for 750,000 is an absolute steal, hes worth three times that after his performances last season. i do hope we can sign him.

Agree15 Disagree2

Forgive my ignorance but who is Pep?

FTID

Agree5 Disagree0

With new owners with some money to spend Wolves will be wanting 3.5/4 million for AG and GE probs won't let them go for much less and a bonus payment IF we get promoted

FTID

Agree0 Disagree4

Both players have 12 months left on their contracts and Wolves need to trim their squad down as they've 40-odd players. I think around 1.5m for both is a reasonable price to pay, if we can get them for less then all the better!!

Agree5 Disagree2

I think the name pep is referring to the ex barcelona boss as in surname

Agree3 Disagree2

What would we value adlene at ? 750k is a insult but great for us {Ed034's Note - last year of cantract, 40 odd players, two ahead of him in his position, new manager wanting to bring in his own players and money being tight. I remember when we got Anderson for so cheap. Let's hope he can be a bit more consistent than Anderson

Agree2 Disagree1

If Wolves are willing to let Adlene leave for 750k then they're idiots; they can't have seen him play much for us last year. Because I expected him to stay with them and be a shoo-in for Championship team of the year as he sets up about 40 goals for Ebanks-Blake.

Having said that, if they're willing to let him go then everybody should pipe down about how good he is. They might start asking for more money. {Ed034's Note - sssshhhhss then

Agree6 Disagree0

Now theres a player worth his chance in Eubanks-Blake. If we are picking players upm from Wolves then I would add his name to the list.

Agree3 Disagree1

The reason we got AG on loan was after a bust up between AG and Ebanks-Blake...so they two sign for Forest? dont think so...

Agree3 Disagree0

They have squad of 46 all on premiership money and want to sign more players so need to get rid of some

Agree2 Disagree0

The reason we got Guaduiora last season was He had a spat with Eubanks Blake so wolves loaned him to us to keep them apart.

Agree2 Disagree0

To be honest folks as a Wolves supporter, we would want 3m for Pep we dont want him to go and with 2 years prem experience 750k would be a joke.
Regards Ebanks-Blake, 60 goals in Championship in 2 years i think our new Manager will use him to our full advantage, with Fletcher probably going i can't see him going anywhere.

Agree0 Disagree2

3m for a player who cost you 2m and with 11 months left on his contract? I think not...

Agree2 Disagree0

A wolf in sheepskin clothing if ever there was one! 3 mill for someone with '2 years prem experience'? He couldn't get a look in at wolves hence he was shipped out to us! Ironic really coz your midfield is pants and he shored ours up! We'll start at 750k and if marther ain't involved we'll get him for about a mil!

Agree0 Disagree1

Moxey wouldn't be so stupid as to let big George and guedioura go for just over a million. We paid a combined 2.5m for them so losing over half our money won't suit moxey. You boys go AG on loan because he wasn't getting much time on the pitch. I'd love like most wolves fans to keep AG possibly a great player for a full season but he is a bit lack luster in possession and gives the ball away to easily. Our squad is huge but the players aren't on prem wages as clauses in there contract see to that, but we do need to let some players go.
