Philipp Degen signing next Thursday on season long loan. He will play right wing {Ed001's Note - he was released by Liverpool just before the transfer window shut, he has no club to loan him out.}

To the Editor - can you please clarify the the situation regarding loan players and transfers now that the August transfer window is closed and the loan window is about to open? 1. Can a loan be effected for greater that 93 days...ie can there be a season long loan agreed? 2. Can a player who is a free agent (ie one who is out of contract) be signed ? Many thanks! {Ed001's Note - loans will be emergency loans only, so 93 day maximum. Free agents can still sign a permanent deal and loans that have been signed with a view to making a permanent move can also complete their permanent move.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate please say the truth for one time!!Stop saying 30 players every day!!

Agree0 Disagree0

To the Editor - re reply to post above - thank you!

Agree0 Disagree0

Didnt realise he was free qagent.He is signing.Keep my IP Ed, you might believe me next time {Ed001's Note - I wasn't disputing he might sign, I was disputing his signing on a loan. His agent has offered him around Europe, he could end up anywhere, including the Championship.}

Agree0 Disagree0

If he was coming he would be there training ready for saturday, why wait! Complete tosh!

Dos Santos deal still on as his proposed move to Sevilla was blocked (Harry had second thoughts), determined to prove himself in english football, Tottenham will loan him out for 6 months, if he impresses he will remain at Tottenham, if not he will be sold in January.

Believable10 Unbelievable16

Totally made up! Dos santos is in spurs 25 man squad but townsend is not. Most likely be Townsend and Danny collins

Agree0 Disagree0

I would want to have anyone of them :|

Agree0 Disagree0

Townsend does not need to be in 25 man squad as of age

Agree0 Disagree0

You cannot loan a player for 6 months in the emergency loan window, the maximum you can loan a player for is 93 days.

Agree0 Disagree0

Loan him out for 6 months if he doesnt impress they will sell him in jan window. What sort of calendar you got that says there's still 6 months till January

Agree0 Disagree0

If he is loaned for six months it will be march when he goes back to spurs and the transfer window will be closed

from INSIDE RED

Steve maclaren is staying for the moment, there is an uneasy standoff between the manager and ND.
Steve MClaren has asked for at least 3 loan signings when the window opens and if ND fails to deliver on his promises then he WILL walk away from the club.

ND is also due to hold a fresh round of talks early next week with Steve Maclaren to resolve the issue of transfer funds and re-assess the suitability of the aquisition panel. (expect changes). ND was not too happy with David Pleat being on radio 5 live when he should have been at Forest especially when he was promoting Spurs. It is understood he may be shown the door.

There are still rumours circulating around the city ground corridors regarding a possible takeover. Several high profile businessmen have been seen over recent days at the city ground and early interim negotiations are taking place.

Ryan Bertrand is still a top target

Believable6 Unbelievable24

I hope Pleat does get the shown the door, however I think this is just all made up

Agree0 Disagree0

Nonsense.

I will wait for "The Sponsor" he hasnt been on for quite some time but hes the only poster I believe

Agree0 Disagree0

If true sounds good to me . but also sounds too good to be true

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do you call yourself INSIDE RED? All you do is resubmit what you've read in paper talk on the Forest website!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ye this is a lie good laugh though ......lol bout the sponser

Agree0 Disagree0

For someone that is trying to portray a person that works at the city ground, your not very loyal are you.
What I can't understand is why do you have to come on here and pretend to be someone your not and lie?? The only thing I can imagine is that your own life is that pathetic, the only way you feel important is by coming on here, pretending to be someone different. It wouldn't suprise me if you actually believe your own sh*t

Agree0 Disagree0

What a load of old carp! Steve McClaren has already stated he never even thought about quitting and that he has a job to do! so i very much doubt he is going to quit if forest dont get the loan signings he wants as he will just look like an arse and a quitter! I think that Pleat is an a**ehole but any rumours about possible takeovers is utter bollox! the only thing you are inside is your own little world!

stop re hashing rubbish from the NEP and trying to make it sound like your own.

Nick the Squaddie.

Agree0 Disagree0

1. Ryan Bertrand named in Chelsea Premiership squad
2. If you are negotiating with ND to buy the club the last place you will do that is the City Ground
3.Assume the rest is garbage as well

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets hope you are right on what you write

Agree0 Disagree0

I didn't know we had two Managers with similar names. Your first sentence talks about Steve Maclaren then you start your second sentence with Steve MClaren.Maybe stick with our only Manager who's name is Steve McClaren !!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Recommend you change your user name from 'Inside Red' to 'Inside My Head' :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you the sponsor in disguise
are you the sponsor
are you the sponsor

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont know who talks more bull the sponsor or inside red.

Nottingham Forest boss Steve McClaren is eyeing loan moves for West Brom striker Simon Cox, Tottenham winger Andros Townsend and Chelsea defender Ryan Bertrand after he announced on Friday he was staying with the club, despite disappointment at failing to add to his squad before the transfer window closed on Wednesday.

How nice is it to read a positive comment, after yesterdays miserable day.
All three would make a massive difference and I hope the board manage to pull them off.
Rumours in the press of us almost agreeing terms to bring a right winger from Wolfsburg, were circulating yesterday. Let's hope we can agree that one as well and make it four quality signings.....you reds!

Agree0 Disagree0

Bertrand and Cox are both named in the 25 man squads - so unlikely to be coming on loan!

Agree0 Disagree0

Well both Ryan Bertrand and Simon Cox have been named in their parent clubs 25 man squads so I doubt if they will be loaned out. Townsend hasn't nor has rumoured target Stoke's Danny Collins.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bertrand hasn't been named in Chelsea's 22 man champions league squad though.

Doesn't the 25 man PL squad need to include a number of 'home-grown' players. Bertrand would count as one of these even if he went out on loan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ah thank you for clarifying that about the 25 man squad. Appreciated :) {Ed001's Note - the squad's don't have to include any homegrown players at all, they just have a limit on how many non-homegrown are allowed.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, think about it. If there is a limit on how many non-homegrown players there are therefore there has to be a ceirtain number of homegrown players. Just for the record though, it is worded the other way I believe. {Ed001's Note - no there can be a gap in the squad, rather than having to have a specific number of homegrown players.}

Agree0 Disagree0

But you have to include a specific minimum number. End of. {Ed001's Note - why don't you read this before you try and act like you know anything: http://www.premierleague.com/page/Headlines/0,,12306~2440123,00.html

Now would you like to accept that it says nowhere in there any limit on minimum squad size? Or perhaps you want to continue wasting everyone's time by arguing a point when you don't have a clue what you are talking about!}
