Forest in for a double swoop of Manchester United Reserve players, both Joshua King and Scott Wootton. S'OD wants bring the Striker and Defender, respectively on-loan to the City Ground till January with S'OD wanting Wootton to sign a perm. deal.

McGoldrick going out on-Loan to Coventry till Christmas. {Ed034's Note - Would love that to happen. Some new, young, fearless players that have been taught to play football the proper way

Believable12 Unbelievable21

Would be nice to see a Norwegian back in the Garibaldi...Joshua is a talented player, but seems to struggle with the last big step to get his potential out...TorofNorway

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont often disagree with your comments Ed BUT just because they have a Man Utd history it doesnt automatically make them a better player or even first choice!
We had a midfield player a few years ago, under Billy I think, and he had the supposed pedigree of Man Utd and he was poor at best. Chugsy {Ed034's Note - that isn't what i said. i said that they have been brought up to play football. i never said they would be automatic first choice.

Agree0 Disagree0

McGoldrick sent to Coventry. Like the sound of that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Tbh you might not agree but i thought wooton wasnt very good especially rb cant cross at all not realy quick or strong

Agree0 Disagree0

Wooton is a cb. Hence his poor crossing. Decentin his two appearances as centre half!

DoF will be announced shortly after the Olympic as none other than Stuart Pearce! He will be allowed to continue with the England under21's and hold down the DoF post at Forest.

Believable10 Unbelievable32

I understood Paul Hart was being lined up with Steve Wigley returning to the coaching staff

Agree0 Disagree0

An like ud know .....

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolute and utter rubbish. Can't believe I'm even bothering to type this. If this were true (and it's not) why wait until after the Olympics? It's all over for Team GB football anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

And why would he take such a job like that? to do what? twiddle his thumbs all day. Hes still a young potential club manager. Codswallop.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dr Tareq Aljalamalah is to be the new technical director at Forest (equivalent to DOF) so your post is utter drivel. Wouldn't want him back here anyway, was a great player but thats as far as it goes

Agree2 Disagree0

I'd love him back in any role!

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think we need 1, SODs done fine with these signings

Agree0 Disagree0

Codswallop.........what a word haha

Agree0 Disagree0

Psycho is welcome at the CG whenever he likes. Legend is an overused word, but it applies to him.

Nottingham Forest are to bid for Norwich Citys midfielder Wesley Hoolahan expect a bid of around 2M close source is somebody in the reserve squad, really hope he comes to the Forest

Believable17 Unbelievable19

What a load of rubbish. He held his own in premiership. Why would he drop down a league

Agree0 Disagree0

Another centre midfielder. I don't think so.

Jamaal lascelles has been offered a 4 year contract worth an estimated 5k per week. It looks as tho he may start the season on loan somewhere else as is the case with freeman

Nottingham forest are looking to hijack Blackburn Rovers attempts to take the right winger / striker Colin Kazim-Richards on trail, Nottingham forest are looking to offer the former coca cola kid a 2 year deal.

Believable11 Unbelievable24

Anyone else we are in for? I'm sure there must be some more wingers that haven't been mentioned on here {Ed034's Note - I'm sure there will be a surprise pop up, either up front or on the wing

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be a very good signing but I'm sure prem clubs would go for him {Ed034's Note -

Agree0 Disagree0

I said it before when this rumour first broke... Kazim Kazim would be an incredible signing! Easily equal to (if not better than) a lot of over-rated quick Premiership wingers.

Kazim, Shotton, Boyata and Ayala would be mint!

512

Agree0 Disagree0

Still think we need an actual rb cb and versatile.lb along with.2 wingers

Forest in talks with Simon Cox - source twitter. Let's hope so

Believable20 Unbelievable15

Why do you hope so, 1 goal in his last 37 games for West Brom not any better than what we have

Agree0 Disagree1

And Sky Sports news has published a story about us being interested

Agree0 Disagree1

Let's hope not, record is terrible

Agree0 Disagree0

Well west brom are in the prem may have something to do with it, there not playing teams like derby every week are they be good signing

Agree0 Disagree0

No thanks apart from dex,who i think will get 18 league goals this season cox is no better than we have already got i.e rubbish {Ed034's Note - 18 lol that's very precise. What about in the cups???

Agree0 Disagree0

Cox is a very good player at this level. He made a bad move going to West Brom and i for one think he would be good alongside Dex if we do get him.
Would like to see McGoldrick, Findley and Tudgay go and Maynard and Cox to come in

Agree0 Disagree0

1 goal in 37 appearances for the Baggies in the premiership, is he really going to improve the forward line, I think not based on this record. Steve-o

Kelvin useless Wilson on his way back to N.Forest, thank god {Ed034's Note - A fan I see

Believable8 Unbelievable18

He was a bomb-scare at Celtic glad to see the back of him

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't remember him being useless. In fact just the opposite, which is why we (well me) were all so gutted it ended the way it did.

Agree0 Disagree2

Why would you describe KW as useless? One of the most consistent defenders weve had in ages.

Agree0 Disagree0

Honest mate he could not trap a bag of cement, total donkey of a player.

Agree1 Disagree0

I doubt he'll even come back

Agree0 Disagree0

Cannot believe how different fans can have such different opinions on a single player. Personally I was always a fan of Kelvin and the majority of people I remember speaking to at the time he was a regular in the side, were also of the opinion that he was a good consistent defender. I would also suggest the majority of fans that state a dislike for him in hindsight are trying to convince themselves based on what they perceive they know now with regards to the situation when he left, as well as the performances he gave at Celtic. (Some players just don't fit at certain clubs, he didn't at Celtic, but I believe he did with us and would still do so if he rejoins)

Agree0 Disagree0

Im a season ticket holder, watched him week in week out. We must be talking about a different player, not sure what planet your on!!! {Ed034's Note - Agreed. He was consistent and first choice until injury

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a bad deff really just keeping him fit is the problem nottingham lad which is prop why his name keeps poping up still pops bk now and then

Agree0 Disagree0

Perhaps the standard of Scottish football rubbed off on him?

Agree0 Disagree0

Whether or not you think he's good or useless I think the later can we please move on sick of hearing about him

Agree1 Disagree0

Shin splints ? not fit

Agree0 Disagree0

He was used as a sub in celtics opening game.

obviously he doesn't have shin splints.

norwich have had a bid excepted from forest fo simeon jackson ......looks like a double raid is on .......wolfman

Believable15 Unbelievable23

Phew how many forwards do we need, Cox, Jackson, Maynard, Davies etc? if we get em all nobody else can have em and we dont need a defence at all!

Agree0 Disagree0

If all these strikers come we are meant to be signing we're gonna have about 12 on our books come start of season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeh i also ave been told about jackson and he wud be a great fit in the 4 4 3 pure pace and a eye for goal .......hope its true {Ed034's Note - 443 are we playing rush goalie?? Lol

Agree0 Disagree0

If this one were true would be better than any of rest but i doubt it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Could be more believable if it was posted correctly i know what the op meant but it reads like norwich are buying him lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't he play on the wing? {Ed034's Note - It's a bit like Findlay on the wing, but not quite as bad

Agree0 Disagree1

Rush goalie - someone did mention mr david james?? The rumours fit !!

Agree0 Disagree1

Would love Jackson ahead of all others mentioned but can't see it to be honest with Norwich only having 3 strikers inc Jackson as Vaughan is leaving.

Nottingham Forest are intrested in signing Steve Davies from Derby County. This is from a very reliable source from within the finance group at Derby County.

Believable8 Unbelievable25

Good player when fit but never is fit

Agree0 Disagree0

WOW does he fit the SO'D mould ?

pinxton

Agree0 Disagree0

This is just a sheap joke :-)

Agree1 Disagree0

Derby have to sell him as treatment room is not big enough for him and Tyson

Agree0 Disagree0

No what this guy has done is watch central news seen davies isnot happy at club and had nothing better to do than post rubbish rumours

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes goin 2 ipswich and lol were after a sheep so i dont think this is true

Robbie Brady could be arriving on loan from man united. Can play on both flanks and is not expected to challenge for the first team anytime soon.

Also enquired about Jamaican winger Chris Humphrey from motherwell.

Believable4 Unbelievable17

Yes he'll do great looking winger pacey and trickey puts a good ball in

Agree0 Disagree0

1st reply, which one is great mate?
nice to have some new names mentioned ? an both wingers !

pinxton

Agree0 Disagree0

Jamaican......surname Humphrey.......Motherwell , who'd a thought those 3 in the same sentence, it's like welsh......fritzel...........boca juniors, I love it, sign him!!! {Ed034's Note - lol

that Nottingham Forest want to sign Simon Cox from West Brom but other clubs are interested in the forward.

Believable18 Unbelievable9

Source ssn

Agree0 Disagree0

He'll come to us if the other intrested clubs are the likes of Wednesday unless he's wanted by uddersfield as a replacement for Rhodes (ha ha )

Agree0 Disagree0

Rhodes to blackburn ?

pinxton

Agree0 Disagree0

Cox is more realistic than maynard or jackson

Agree0 Disagree0

He is rubbish take away his goals at swindon and he's on par with McGoaldrought

Express and Star: Paul Lambert today confirmed Aston Villa have not had enquiries for Alan Hutton, although he hinted the defender may be sold before the transfer window closes. Hutton was left out of Villa's pre-season tour to the US and did not feature in either of the warm-up matches against Peterborough or Nottingham Forest.

forest have had a bid accepted for maynard

Believable17 Unbelievable14

I'm probably wasting my time here but...

Nkred {Ed034's Note - You have as I am not allowed to add on posts asking for sources, sorry

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be a good signing, as long as the pay is on par with rest of squad

Agree0 Disagree0

Really hope this is true as it would show a statement that forest are title contenders...him and dexter will score goals and will be a potent strike force

Agree0 Disagree0

Its in the region of 3 million also ayala , coppinger, hall, and shooton and hutton due to sign

Agree0 Disagree0

If we were to sign Ayala,Coppinger,Hall and Shooton- fancy us to finish in the top three. Glad I got us at 25/1 for the title just before the takeover

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't see that many joining!

I'm 50/50 whether to believe these maynard stories!

Hall i can maybe see joining, Coppinger and Ayala definitely.

So new signings this summer:

Halford, Harding, Collins, Gillett, Guedioura, Coppinger, Ayala, Al-Mutawa, Al-Rashidi and Fadel

Agree0 Disagree0

So how come big Al has put this out on twitter? {Ed034's Note - I am presuming you meant to say he hasn't put it out

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed034 when did who? stop you putting a request for source? i understand why tho, but feel its a valid question when you look at some of the posts?

pinxton {Ed034's Note - The powers that be have requested all eds not to post people asking about sources as it is upto the poster about revealing it. I have mentioned it a couple if times. Sorry nothing I can do about it.

I've been told by a couple of journos today that simon cox is at present discussing personal terms and could be unveiled within 48 hours.

Simon

Believable16 Unbelievable11

Bang on simon ITK

Agree0 Disagree0

We'v got too many strikers now, i don't think he is any better than what we have got {Ed034's Note - I rate him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is that you Coxy?
IERM

Agree0 Disagree0

Could be a very good player for us, needs to be given a chance, just hope we didnt spend silly money on him, west brom wanted 3million for him last year

Agree0 Disagree0

Steve Clarke has been playing Cox and says he is happy with his squad even if they get no new additions. I do not think this will happen unless they sign a striker or two!

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be a fantastic signing!!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

This is now on sky sports news

Agree0 Disagree0

Would prefer Le-Fondre or Billy Sharp.

Agree0 Disagree0

Op here, that's this story now on Ssn. He has had talks today but suppose it will come down to wages in the end {Ed034's Note - You are not the op at all

Agree0 Disagree0

Last time we bought a striker from wba
It was a disaster at the cost of 1.2mill
With a very similar scoring ratio,
Personally i'd go for Nicky
Maynard a better all round bet! {Ed034's Note - hahaha worst argument for not buying a player goes to....

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd prefer le fondre ! has that rumour dried up ?

pinxton {Ed034's Note - Looking that way. My preferred choice is Maynard followed by Jackson and cox......not that your asking

Agree0 Disagree0

Pmsl pillock

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd rather we not spend the money on a striker with such a poor record it would be better spent on the ladies and gents at the CG {Ed034's Note - Or a couple if extra carlsberg pumps and staff to serve them quicker

Forest are looking at a season long loan deal to bring Liverpool's England U-21 defender Andre Wisdom to the City Ground

Deals for Ayala, Coppinger, Moussa and Maynard to be finalised this week.

Players leaving are Findley and Greening.

Believable15 Unbelievable15

Findley aint going anywhere

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree Findley not leaving, Derbyshire & McGoldrick &Greening to leave all on free!

Agree0 Disagree0

Sounded good untill you said findley greening leaving and just ho are going to buy them?

Agree0 Disagree0

Findley wont go he was given the number 9 shirt. Hope we can get maynard him and blackstock upfront would be immense

Agree0 Disagree0

Thank god greening is leaving

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think any of the strikers are going to leave, except maybe Miller. McGoldrick has looked sharp in pre season and they've been running stories on the OS about Derbyshire being ready for the new season. I think, after Ayala, our best chances at signings are Bennett and Coppinger.

Agree0 Disagree0

Theres been no talk at all about our strikers? not even the new manager an the surplus stuff ? an no one is putting bids in either so i expect us to start the season with them an major changes in jan if SO'D see's fit ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently millwall want tudgay

Agree0 Disagree0

Ayala not coming , wants to fight for his place at Norwich

2 trailists are heading back to Kuwait after failing to get work permits, Bader and Fadel waiting for Qadsia to agree to terms of the transfer

RG09

Believable16 Unbelievable5

The 2 syrians haven't been able to secure a work permit. (Al-Soma & Al-Khatib)

Al Mutawa, Al-Rashidi and Fadel's work permits are still being worked on by those responsible

Agree0 Disagree0

Failling to get a work permit implies we have tried to sign them ? surely the 3 regular mentioned lads are the only ones to need permits? an could someone please classify the syrian/kuwaiti aspect? i though only one of the six triallists is syrian ?

Forest looking to finalise a loan move for Kyle naughton from spurs who has previously spent loan spells at Norwich and Leicester. Only 6 months but can play RB, LB, and RM.

James Coppinger edging closer to a move here according to twitter.

Lascelles will go out on loan this season if o'driscoll manages to bring in another couple of experienced defenders.

Ayala announced today.

Believable18 Unbelievable12

Houghton has said he is thinking about ayala still...Hope you are right though

Agree0 Disagree0

6 month loans are no good at all it has to be a season or nothing

Agree0 Disagree1

If lascelles is as good as claimed but he's not gonna start, then a 6 month loan from prem should help him develop, an then maybe push for his starting slot ? he can go on loan for match fitness for a month towards jan ?

Heard a few rumours last night and this morning that Kyle Bennet is gunna sign for Forest this week. Don't know the fee

Believable16 Unbelievable8

This one is correct and has been in the rumour mill for about a week or longer. He seems a decent winger also coppinger is supposed to be on the list as per sky sports website. Either would be decent and the xtra winger needed.
Ian T

Agree0 Disagree0

He is a bit small 5ft 5in and light about 10 stone, but he is quick and a right winger. Other championship clubs were after him last season.

Agree0 Disagree0

I know but how many massive wingers do you know? They need to be quick agile skillfull with a good cross. Their size isnt as important as the chap theyre crossing it into i.e big Dexter etc. PS the fee for Bennett would be 500k also previously on site forget where

Ayala - deal done announced later
Maloney - not going anywhere
Earnshaw - deal failed
Roman Finn - offered contract

Believable9 Unbelievable21

According to bbc radio sport we have not spoken to the player and there are various clubs showing interest {Ed034's Note - which one?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ayala is the only name with any credit to it, BM wasnever going aanywhere

Agree0 Disagree0

Who is Roman Finn? There's an Irish player Ronan Finn, him?

Agree0 Disagree0

Shamrock are trying hold out for more Money but I've heard te figure is around 250k which is about right anyway

Agree0 Disagree0

So much for ayala deal to be done later. stop making lies in your head and read the sources they all say forest are interested in season loan houghton is considering his options

Believable21 Unbelievable13

Agree0 Disagree0

Trust me the deal is done

You cant possibly know the deal is done unless you are involved in the deal but i imagine you arent. Youve prob taken a punt and if/when the deal goes through you will be saying "i told you so"

SOD wants 3 new defenders and has decisions to over lascelles freeman and moloney
source nep
i think we will sell moloney loan lascelles and keep.freeman as rb cover
the 3 defenders would be rb cb and lb

Believable7 Unbelievable12

I think lascelles and freeman would both be great cover but I agree that Maloney isn't good enough and should be sold, SOD didnt sound to impressed with him in his post match intiview either

Agree1 Disagree1

I have to say i like maloney lots of guts.martin cranie is looking for a club and can play in any defencive position

Forest looking at Johnny Russell from dundee

Agree0 Disagree1

Need to do better than johnny Russell, in his carrier he has been scoring at 1 in 4 and that is in the Scottish leagues and in the Irish leagues for spells. Sounds good if you want some more poor striker doing nothing but increasing are wage bill. {Ed034's Note -

Agree1 Disagree0

Scored 9 for dundee last season, we dont need another mcgoldrought

Agree1 Disagree0

If we're looking at Scots looking to prove a point in England I'd say Chris Boyd (tho I am a bit biased!) or Goodwillie both know where the net is and want to prove doubters wrong. Loan possibilities with both too ........
with a view to a permenent?
Notts Loyal

Agree0 Disagree0

Johnny Russell is a winger/striker so 1 in 4 isnt too bad and believe me the lad does have good potential so he would be a decent signing, just don't think of him as an out and out striker. Just a footnote to that as well, he has never played in Ireland, Forfar and Raith are lower league Scottish clubs that he has been on loan at as a youth.
