Billy Davies will stay, Moussi and Tyson will go, Mckenna may return to Preston because he would be good in that league for them, but mcgugan and Camp going no where! Neither is anderson or anyone else rumoured to be moving on to pastures new. Earnie will sign a 2 year extension of his contract.

I think forest should look at Ryan Bertrand or Jonathan Parr for the left back situation, or possibly former forest youth winger Felix Bastians who has converted to a full back since joining SC Freiburg after his spell at Young Boys Bern he is a bright young talent in the german leagues. A left mid must be signed maybe Shaba or Treacy and forest may sign David Norris but nothing concrete.

Norris has signed for Pompey.

Expect to hear in the next hour or so a press confrence by Nottingham Forest on Sky Sports News, regarding the future of Billy Davies. The talk is he will no longer be in charge and is heading towards the SPL? Names bounding around are very much in the favour of Chris Houghton, but nothing solid as of yet!

It's official Billy Davies has gone! My mate works for a local paper and his source has confirmed it! Shortlist of: Hughton, Mackay, and Martin O Neill. Martin O Neill unlikely as he is not on the best of terms with Mr Doughty. Personally as a Red I think the way Davies has been treated is nothing short of disgraceful! Think of where he bought the club from - on the verge of relegation to play offs in last two seasons. Why not back him this season? He will be snapped up soon for sure. News on transfer targets to come!

It's not official until it is on the club web-site. It isn't on the club web-site so it's just your rumour which is fair enough as this is a rumour site. But don't say it's official please.

Davies to be gone by the end of the week at the latest. Redundancy payment was discussed 2 days after the play off defeat and Billy has not come into work other than to discuss this matter for the past 2 weeks. Expect a shock return to English management for Steve Maclaren, who has been lined up to take over the helm. I'm a gutted reds fan, I feel Davies deserves to honour his contract and have one last crack but it looks like Doughty has had enough. This is not absolute fact, it's through word of mouth after all, but it is what I've heard. If it is wrong I apologise, but I honestly wouldn't post unless I felt a rumour has legs.

What's your view Ed?

O'T'B {Ed001's Note - I am not sure, I just know things are fraught behind the scenes and Davies is unhappy with the AP and their constant failure to bring in the players he feels he needs.}

"{Ed001's Note - it is a difficult one. The board have constantly held him back and refused to help him throughout his time at the club. They have messed up constantly at bringing in players etc. But Davies is a stubborn man and refuses to just walk away. He still thinks he can achieve promotion, despite the problems and he has so far just got on with things. From what I can gather it will just be another summer of unrest as the board mess him about, unless someone else comes in for him. If someone comes in for him I would expect him to jump at the chance to go somewhere the board value him and back him. I just don't understand it though, the way they have held him back it is a miracle Forest get so close to promotion year on year. How do the board not see it??}"

That is just not true though. First off, there isn't a board at forest: there is Nigel Doughty and he alone completely funds the club. He's spent £26m on the club since davies joined, not all on transfers obviously but mainly on wages. A few high profile signings clearly were messed up last summer but he has still signed about 15 players since he's been there including several internationals. That's pretty strong backing IMO.

The club isn't messing him about. What happens is that after many years of being dicked about by the media the club no longer respond to media questions outside official press conferences. This allows malicious journalists (Hi Daniel and Paul) to print whatever they like and say the club refused to comment (which they did) as if there might be some truth in the story. Billy doesn't help himself with his cumbersome attempts to manipulate the media either. {Ed001's Note - ok I should have made myself clearer, I was referring to the acquisition panel specifically that is causing the problems. By the way you are wrong, there is a board, as there legally has to be 3 members on any board, Forest have Mark Arthur, the Chief Executive, and John Pelling, the Finance Director, on the board.}There are several other directors on the board too, look it up.

Billy Davies will remain Nottingham Forest manager after clear the air talks with owner Nigel Doughty were held over the weekend at his London office and not on the Monday as published in the media.

Billy Davies will be asked to reduce the club wage bill with the release of many of the clubs top stars and replaced with lower league signings.

Davies as been instructed to build a team around inform midfield star Lewis McGugan for his last promotional push.

Doughty is keen to see Lewis McGugan given centre stage in the Forest side to ward off potential Premiership clubs over the summer period.

The talks are tomorrow. We don't need to cut our wage bill. TheMcGugan is not in form and will be sold to fund other new additions.
