Collins John won't be signing for us. Neither will Maynard as Bristol city are asking for too much money for a player who is out of contract in a year. On a plus note, deals for Routledge and Zenden are almost complete as well as a unamed player from Scotland. My source wouldn't let slip who it is as the club don't want it getting out. All he would say is he's a highly rated prospect My opinion is it's not goodwillie.

Believable10 Unbelievable8

Somebody els posted about john fleck bright young prospect form rangers maybe thats him? tbh i hope your right and not some guy who gets kicks out of making stuff up :)

Agree0 Disagree0

John fleck

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope so

Agree0 Disagree0

If its not Goodwillie, its either Wallace or Dixon for the left back position

I was the one who broke the news about Wayne Routledge, ED; Check my email name if you think i am lying. Now i have some more breaking news
Today at the city ground along with Wayne was Emile Hesky? Don't know if he is signing i just know i saw him training with the team, he looks like he has lost a little weight and seemed to be hitting the net with some fierce power. again check my name ed it is the agent Also McGugan is staying, Neither Newcastle or Forest have any idear where the story came from about the £1.5 Million offer.
{Ed008's Note - Regular poster making a good point

Believable19 Unbelievable7

Imo heskey would be a top signing tons of exp could do a job at champ wouldent be a 20+ goals machine but he would certaintly get his fair share and a very very good aset to have plus hes a LEDGE

Agree0 Disagree0

Heskey is a donkey, he has done nothing where ever he goes....no thanks

Agree0 Disagree0

Heskey? He's a villa player, why would he be training with forest before signing a contract? it's not like he needs to prove his fitness. No way on earth he'd drop to the champ anyway.

I think some correspondents have difficulty distinguishing one big black man from another. It's much more likely to have been reo-coker or some other OOC player training with the squad, something that is quite common. It doesn't mean he's going to sign.

Agree0 Disagree0

forest board in talks with rangers to agree a fee for young player john fleck sounds a good player {Ed014's Note - has been touted as a Scottish Wayne Rooney..}

Believable15 Unbelievable4

What's worse? a Scottish Wayne Rooney or a Scouse one?

Agree0 Disagree0

If he is a scottish wayne rooney then why would rangers want 2 sell him? {Ed014's Note - Didn't make that clear, Rooney in the sense of his 'style of play' etc.. I think if he was of similar ability, then he'd already be playing in the Premier League}

Agree0 Disagree0

There's already a Scottish Wayne Rooney. His name is Shrek

Agree0 Disagree0

Not bothered if he shows he has the eye for goal

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah thats what I was thinking. I guess its watch this space time.

Agree0 Disagree0

Very good player. doubt if they'd sell to be honest

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Jul 2011 22:15:16
Long-serving Nottingham Forest centre back Wes Morgan is a target for QPR. Neil Warnock is looking for a strong athletic defender and Morgan is a perfect fit.

Believable4 Unbelievable24

They can go forth and multiply. He's staying...

Agree0 Disagree0

Ill get my keys. Just because he's a local lad everyone dotes on him. He's slow and clumsy, and all he does it lump it (something that Chambers has been accused of for last couple of seasons) If Colin offers anything more than a million, snap his hand off. And don't give me this Championship defender of the year bollocks, because Chambers carried him all year

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Jul 2011 22:07:27
ed, whats your view on our chances of getting nicky maynard ? {Ed016's Note - If there is interest it will take a big bid to take him away depends on how much your owner is willing to spend}

Believable2 Unbelievable9

Our owner is willing to pay peanuts so forget about Maynard. {Ed014's Note - I think Bristol City's valuation is ridiculous.}

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Jul 2011 21:15:44
Bristol City are willing to sell Nicky Maynard only in return for £5 Million plus David McGoldrick and Gareth McCleary.

Believable8 Unbelievable27

Dont be silly

Agree0 Disagree0

Believable now, because they rejected a 4.75 million from Leicester. I believe they won't sell until they get to seven million...

Agree0 Disagree0

I would be tempted to say yes to that

Agree0 Disagree0

Perhaps McGoldrick but McCleary is quality

Agree0 Disagree0

Noway is he worth 4.5 an two players doone

Agree0 Disagree0

That sounds rediculous for a striker that is hardly prolific. it's ok we can have him for nothing in a year. Bristol are being radiculous

Agree0 Disagree0

That too much for him without the exchange, injury prone and only had one good season

Agree0 Disagree0

McGoldrick and McCleary are both great players, the reason they never shone was because Billy Davies showed no faith in the pair. Also why all the fuss over Maynard? from what i have seen of him he is just an avrage player who looks sulky and lazy, leave him at bristol and sign Reo Coker instead he will get 20 plus a season in the championship. {Ed014's Note - Reo Coker? 20 plus? from Midfield? really? ..and if Maynard is an average player who looks sulky and lazy, then there isn't much hope for Mr. McGoldrick and Mr. McCleary}

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you guys are forgetting that we have robbie findley, i have watched him train and boy believe me we don't need maynard. We should put McGugan up front and then see how many he would score. I remember theiry henry started out in midfield did'nt he? and look how he turned out. Bristol are trying to hold teams to ransom. Let leicester buy him for 10 million, i am sure the bench has one more space there?

Agree0 Disagree0

Why bother with this ridiculously over-priced deal when we could get Billy Sharp for 4 million ish he'd get about the same amount of goals

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance is he worth that, you could get 2 decent strikers in for that plus a midfielder.........NEXT

Forest are now looking at John Carew after now not getting Nicky Maynard, Carew is a free agent from Villa and will met Steve Maclaren for talks.

Believable4 Unbelievable16

Very funny

Agree0 Disagree0

Nicky Maynard is a better younger player, Carew is way past his sell by date and produces the quailty of a sunday league player.

routledge will be on his way, due to meet forest over the next few days to agree term, i think it will be done for monday. this ent the only deal in the works though. A left back has always been the main target and expect a new left back monday on tuesday, im informed its not shorey or bertrand.

Forest are still keeping their eye on Giles Barnes but expect him to sign up aswel however this will be after the trip to Portugal.

collins John will NOT be coming to forest

The guy will do the biz for us, id bin told that it would b on official site tnite but nothing as of yet. These 2, moussi and maybe barnes will be on the portugal tour. Young freeman wil go as lefty until we get konch or shorey in.andrews or jones also.any idea if we have any defenders on the radar ed

Hi all
Im new to all this gossip/transfer rumour site but i dont understand who these (ed008-ed014) etc are ?
If they are reliable/in the know people why does ed008 say routledge is wanting to go a bigger club ie prem but ed014 (newcastle site) says its a done deal and could be revealed over the wk end.
please help ?
ps YOU REEEEEEEEEDS
{Ed008's Note -Their was some movement that i wasn't aware of as i was covering for Ed14 he's the main Forest Ed believe what he says.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

{Ed014's Note - Thanks Ed008. Basically, I'm not 100% certain, but the sources who tell me the that an offer in the reigon of 2,000,000 has been accepted by Newcastle has usually been very accurate 9/10 times. Ed008 is correct, those things have been said, but I'd put my money on a move to Forest, before the trip to Portugal. Hope that clears it up.}

Newcastle are only willing to sell Routledge on the condition we also take James Perch for £500,000.

Believable7 Unbelievable15

Id only take perch back if they paid us

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't mind a deal like that. Perch would never be a starter but it wouldn't hurt to have a backup player who can play fullback, center back and in midfield.

What ever amount we pay I'd say the cash is purely for Routledge with Perch coming back for free.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just take the offer you can flog perch to direby they'll take owt going pr

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd take them 2 right now right now

Agree0 Disagree0

Perch lol how gutted would he be if Newcastle actually said that. Please take him back he's sh*t lol. If I was the board id say sorry mate no returns offered on damaged goods he worked ok when you bought him. Orrr we will take him back but you can have a 50pound credit note

Agree0 Disagree0

Perch would be a decent enough back up but never a regular.

I don't think this is true but i believe wayne will be coming

Nottingham FOReST are to bring in Federico Macheda on a season long loan from champions Manchester United. Steve McClaren was once Alex Ferguson number 2 so he is willing to help his old friend out and to give Federico must needed first team action.

Ed can you please clear up the stories about routledge and Collins John ? {Ed008's Note - Your interested in Routledge but so are a lot of other clubs. You have made a bid but unlikely to get him as he's holding out for a bigger club (i'm not saying Forest ain't a bigger club they are a big club in my opinion.) i mean PL clubs. Collins John worst rumour ever he's playing in Azerbaijan poor player he has handed in a transfer request at the club he's at but very unlikely Forest would be after him as you have better players than him. Hope that cleared it up for you.

Believable4 Unbelievable7

Is that your opinion or is it a fact {Ed008's Note - Both but their has been development in the Routledge deal and according to Ed14 (the main forest ed) he says Routledge is having a medical over the weekend.

Cools cheers and do u think it is true forest are having a 'crisis' meeting with McClaren to discuss the lack of transfers

The fee is £2M and that should be at least what Newcastle paid QPR for 18 months when Wayne arrived on Tyneside, and did a good job for the team in the second half of the promotion season.
It is being reported that Wayne could even join Forest within a day or two.
It seems that new Forest boss Steve McClaren has moved quickly for Routledge, who we think will be a good buy for any club looking for promotion next season. Wayne Routledge reported for pre-season training on Tyneside last Monday, and it seems he was looking to get first team football elsewhere for next season.

New Forest boss McClaren targets West Brom full-backBy talkSPORT Thursday, July 7 0 comments Nottingham Forest are poised to make a move for West Brom defender Nicky Shorey.

Believable14 Unbelievable5

Fed up of all these rumours - bottom line is we have signed one player on a free transfer, why would we sign Barnes, Routledge, Joe Cole when they are all left sided midfielders especially if the Routledge deal means selling McGugan - forget it - how come we are always working hard to sign players and other clubs somehow manage to just DO IT

James Perch is set for a return to the City Ground. The versatile defender/midfielder wants to end his Newcastle nightmare and the Forest boss sees him as the perfect replacement for the departing Guy Moussi.

Believable8 Unbelievable33

I will quit supporting Forest and move to Derby if this is true....unf***ingbelievable

Agree0 Disagree0

Well if thats how easily you would jump ship then your not a proper fan anyway

Agree0 Disagree0

Tbh.... as long as no Forest players are going the other way (to Newcastle) having Perch back wouldn't be the worst thing....

He's not a bad player.....
But I can't see this happening...

Agree0 Disagree0

An ideal replacement for Moussi that's funny

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you a numpty? Perch wins as much ball as Moussi without giving it straight back to the opposition. And he's younger. {Ed014's Note - He does give it back more than Moussi, also has poor discipline and positioning.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I really hope there isnt any truth in this, would hate to see Perch back

Agree0 Disagree0

Wot a load of crap

Agree0 Disagree0

I for one wouldnt mind perch back someone with passion for the club

Agree0 Disagree0

As things stand today we can field a midfield of Ando, Cohen, McGugan, Majewski, Reid. Perch would be good cover for that lot and he can fill in at fullback. I know he hasn't done well at Newcastle, but I'm a season ticket holder and always thought he did well.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeh that much passion he left

Agree0 Disagree0

1-ando, cohen, mcgugan and reid in midfield would get absolutely dominated. 2-he did have a lot of passion and the chance to play in the prem came along (along with a lot more money) 3-i didnt rate him but he is good cover. 4-we need a dcm or 2 not perch but he can be the reserve dcm

Agree0 Disagree0

Would rather have perch than moose cos perch is more all rounded. moose is a bit of a donkey and obviously isnt very intelligent but he is a dynamic player but would much rather see perch or zenden fill that role

Agree0 Disagree0

Perch gives 110% every game he is the type of player every team needs. He is not excellent but he is a good hardworking versatile player. Never understood how so many football fans can not see this.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with Ed014, Perch is an awful player, IMO he cost us 2 goals against Blackpool in the play-offs, there is alot better out there than Moussi and Perch.

Agree0 Disagree0

I used to go to school with james perch in the mansfield area and ive spoken to his folks and they have said that he will be resigning for us sometime next week.

Newcastle have had a bid accpeted from Nottingham Forest star Lewis Mcgugan for around £1.5 million so does that mean Wayne Routledge is on his way to the City Ground. {Ed008's Note - Outrageous £1.5 for Mcgugan ? Easily one of the best players of the championship last season! I have to post this :/

Believable4 Unbelievable22

Why would we sell him no chance we need to build round him

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you're confused, or still drunk from last night. Forest have had a 2m bid for Routledge from NUFC accepted, is that what you meant? 1.5m for McGugan would be sheer stupidity from the NFFC board. But then, this is Forest...

Agree0 Disagree0

If they accept 1.5 million for lewis then the board are as bad as we all fear they are

Agree0 Disagree0

@NUFCLatest: Routledge was in Nottingham yesterday to discuss personal terms after Forest had an offer, in the region of £2m, accepted by NUFC.

Source = NUFC Twitter.

Believable10 Unbelievable5

The official NUFC twitter does not state this.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree there is nothing on nufc twitter about wayne routledge, but there is on the actual nffc site

Forest 'WILL' have 'more' players in by wednesday

source = Mclaren himself

Believable9 Unbelievable6

Yeah but which wednesday ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats not exactly what he said did he...... he said and i quote "I would ideally like to have more new signings on board before the trip to portugal" He went on to say "we are going to Portugal next week and its imperative and important that we see new faces in the squad" .................... Now where in that quote does he say that we 'WILL' have new signings by next wednesday, the day they fly to Portugal? Stop twisting the truth and making up sh*t

Agree0 Disagree0

Its says he HOPES actually

Agree0 Disagree0

Nope i spoke to him and he definatly said 'will'

Newcastle have made a 1.5m bid for Lewis according to an article on newsnow

Believable7 Unbelievable14

Saw this, Pardew says he wants to offer him a dream move to the Premier League..at 1.5 million though he can dream on..

Agree0 Disagree0

If lewis goes i don't know what i'll do

Agree0 Disagree0

If C.Adam can move for 9 million, then lewis is definatly worth about the same amount if not more becuase he's younger

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this the same lewis mcgugan who has specifically asked for a new squad number this season for personal reasons ??

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha, I don't think 1.5m is going to "test Forest's resolve" very much. I think maybe mr Pardew misplaced the decimal point.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whats this about McGugan wanting to change number? Any1? Ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

Its ment to be 1.5 mill plus routledge and perch

Agree0 Disagree0

No way mcgugan worth over 6m

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheeky B................

Agree0 Disagree0

More like 8 mill.
