from inside the club, these are some of the players that have been catching the eye of SOD,

Ross McCormack - Dirty Leeds
Kyle Bennett - Donny
James Coppinger - Donny
Liam Lawrence - Pompey
Harry Maguire - Sheff UTD

Believable16 Unbelievable12

Cool dont thinkwe will get all 3 wingers bt 1/2 would be good

Agree0 Disagree0

Why oh why are we always being associated with doncaster players did they not go down last year, so presumably the players were not good enough. {Ed034's Note - We nearly did as well, do should we get rid of all ours??? Rwi of ours had ended up in the prem

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, sort ya spelling out lol

Ketnee T3 {Ed034's Note - Lol stupid phone lol well you got my drift

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure on Coppinger but all the others look like decent signings

C8RED

Agree0 Disagree1

Donny were unlucky really, they had a lot of injuries

And not to mention the fact they panicked in January and bought absolutely woeful players

Agree0 Disagree0

Whos harry maguire

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont wana be pessimistic cus i hope we get them all as they are good, but think, warnock said he wants another striker so why would he sell one? donny will do everything to not lose probably there two best players, liam lawrence is linked with everyone and if it was gona happen it would have happened and harry maguire is one of the best young talents in england, i want em but dont think they are all realistic

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't know why people are saying Doncaster players are catching SOD'd eye surely he knows these players quite well. Liam Lawrence has been linked with just about everybody as he has to move from Pompey but he is waiting for a prem league team to bid according to all other rumours. This leaves ud with Ross McCormack who apparently put in a transfer request Leeds will really have a struggle on if they lose him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Names that have been linked for weeks so nothing new.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Portsmouth have to clear all their first team squad by today(10th Aug)

Agree0 Disagree0

Harry maguire is 6 ft 2 centre back who is only 19 and has only made 50 to 60 professional caps

Translation; forest now favourite for Maynard after Leeds takeover falls through..

Believable16 Unbelievable12

Translate from what {Ed034's Note - From previous post

Agree0 Disagree0

Translation; Forest NOT in for Maynard, purely rumour and paper talk.

Now the Leeds takeover has collpased McCormack has asked for a transfer. Might be worth us having a bid for him.

Believable12 Unbelievable9

Get him in!! proven goal scorer in championship.

Agree0 Disagree0

Prob get him on the cheap too

Agree0 Disagree0

Much better than cox. Has actually scored goals in the last 2 years.

Agree0 Disagree1

Get em both! Blackstock miller mccormack and cox would kill this league

Agree1 Disagree0

Yeah but then what about the rest of the strikers? Derbyshire/Findley need to be given chance to prove and personally I don't rate Miller, very poor against Villa

C8RED

Agree1 Disagree0

McCormack's goal stats are no better than Cox at over 3 games per goal.
He has never played in a promoted team and is so good he last played international football for Scotland in 2008!
He is only 5'9 and not blessed with pace which is why he will be cheap.

Simon Cox is our man as Billy Sharp is ooking like starting for the Saintsgoing to give

Agree0 Disagree0

McCormack will come in an exchange for Raddy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Forest now fab for maynard after Leeds to falls through

Believable8 Unbelievable14

What? {Ed034's Note - Im presuming fav as it comes out as fab on predictive text

Agree0 Disagree0

Not as good as Simon Cox for our team
SOD will get his man!

Agree0 Disagree0

FAB is right he's a thunderbirds fan lol, SOD get the right man wehter cox, maynard or whoever he got a good head.

Agree0 Disagree0

Heard we could be in for max gradel

Believable7 Unbelievable18

He only went to France last year so doubt it.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's unhappy at St Etienne apparently, so could happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have just been informed SOD is still looking for another CB,RB,LB, left & right winger. But the reason he is looking to bring in 1 or 2 strikers is because Derbyshire, Mcgoldrick and Tudgay all look set to leave and he fancies Findley on the wing.

A lot of talk about cox, maynard,McCormack, sharp and so on but as far as I am aware we have only enquired about cox. May all change now Leeds have a Tony with there takeover.

Believable9 Unbelievable8

Always a mistake to try and play centre forwards on the wing eg Grant Holt. Sign you dont fancy them in their favourite position and would like them to go!

Agree0 Disagree0

Seeing as how SOD said in last interview he was impressed with McGoldrick, seeing as he has worked with him before at Bmth where he scored goals and seeing as he has been saying he deserves another chance I can only deduce that your info is a lie.

Agree0 Disagree0

This i think is nonsense there is no way s'od will let derbys*** mcgoldrick and tuddy leave, the former maybe but not the other 2 mcgoldrick i confess has look sharp in both the friendlies.

Agree1 Disagree0

Findley was playing right wing for the USA when they played England in the last world cup. {Ed034's Note - I thought he was playing as a striker. It would be great if he could learn to play on the right of a front three

Agree0 Disagree0

Before findley got taken off at county he was playing well on the right wing

Agree0 Disagree0

Wingers have to be able to cross though and findley can't do that

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree with this and would like to see findley play on the wing, just needs to learn to cross the ball

Agree0 Disagree0

SSN says Portsmouth expected to make an announcement on the future of Liam Lawrence today! This could give is some answers as to whether he'll be joining us? Let's wait and see!

Believable12 Unbelievable6

Need a left and right winger as we have findley on right and reidy on left atm

Forest want to sign west brom's winger jerome thomas on season-long loan deal with view to permenant deal next summer.

Believable8 Unbelievable10

Not a chance

Agree0 Disagree0

More chance of knitting fog !!

Agree0 Disagree0

Used to play with him at hatch end. He is rubbish and also has a chip on his shoulder.

Agree0 Disagree0

You're not bitter then!

Agree0 Disagree0

If hes that rubbish how come hes played a majority of his career in the most watched football league in the world, with charlton+portsmouth. and also C.Ronaldo has a chip on his shoulder, buts hes 1 of the best players of all time?

Agree0 Disagree0

Decent player who made it...where you playing now?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ronaldo can have a chip on his shoulder all he likes he can front it j thomas cant end of!

Ignore all the Simon Cox has signed. Simon Cox has passed a medical rumours, this is the latest.

"Forest are still waiting to hear whether they have been successful in their bid to land West Brom striker Simon Cox.

The Reds have agreed a fee for the former Swindon man, but are still to discover whether the player will accept a three-year deal. Other clubs, including Celtic, are interested."

Believable13 Unbelievable7

Simon Cox has passed a medical today and will be announced later.

Agree1 Disagree1

If his mind is to be made up fairly soon i'd like to think we're odds on favourite to get him, chance of regular football in a very good side in a very good league and with a short move just across the midlands or to a team in a 'mickey mouse league' up in Glasgow.
They'll never do well in the champions league and he might not even be first choice over Hooper, Samaras etc

Agree0 Disagree0

This is correct. Clubs have agreed fee, down to Cox whether he wants to accept deal

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently Leeds have enquired about raddy. {Ed034's Note - they have no money

Believable2 Unbelievable22

Would swop Radi for McCormack in an instance

Agree0 Disagree4

They have no money?? They have signed loads of players, and are still in the market for others. They have PLENTY of money {Ed034's Note - no money for big money signings, such as raddy, who would cost 1.5m+. It has been stated by local journos that they now need to sell before buying

Agree1 Disagree0

So would i, you can probably count on one hand the number of good games raddy has had for us {Ed034's Note - what are peoples thoughts on radi?? a lot of fans think he's the bees knees, but i have never really rated him as much as other fellow fans

Agree0 Disagree1

I like him but he's inconsistant, drifts in and out of games too much. Similar to Lewis, but they dont put the graft in, so there isnt room for both of them in the 11 IMO. {Ed034's Note - agreed. i would always go lewis though, as he can create a goal out of nothing

Agree1 Disagree0

Can only think of one game that i have rated Radi in and thats the demolition of west brom a couple of season ago when he scored that peach of a volley

Agree0 Disagree1

I think radi is superb, I don't think anyone in our squad can see and play the incise through balls like him. Strikers like cox, findley, Derbyshire thrive on playmakers like him behind them

Agree2 Disagree0

They probably have enough money for raddy ed.

where do you get 1.5m valuation from? he's entering the last year of his contract and he hasn't done anything since his permanent move to justify his 1m fee, much less increase his value.

any fee would undoubtedly be 'undisclosed' but that's only because forest would want to hide the loss they'd make from their fans when he went for less than 400k. {Ed034's Note - because we have now changed from a selling club and there for value of players go up. as we do not need to sell anymore, we can hold out for proper money. we got 1m for morgan, who only had 6 month of his contract left and had said he would not sign another

Agree0 Disagree0

When radi came to Forest i thought he looked like premiere league quality and to be honest nobody really played well last season except for the 3 players who left. I think Radi could really shine under SOD because Mclaren and cotterill were playing long ball football whereas SOD will get them playing on the floor where Radi is useful

Agree1 Disagree0

I think he's the sort of player that needs managing to get the best out of him. A bit like Mcgugan. If SOD can do this we have will have 2 PL standard midfielders on our hands. Could be awesome.

Agree1 Disagree0

Right enough Findley and Derbyshire have really thrived on Radi's through balls last season...NOT! Radi is the most over-rated player in our squad!

Agree0 Disagree3

The Leeds takeover has collapsed so they def don't have the funds warlocks put a couple of players up for sale today to raise funds for a striker it's on sky sports news

Agree0 Disagree0

Loved Radi on loan but seemed to me that his performances dipped once we signed him. Certainly got the ability but we don't see it often enough for me

Agree0 Disagree0

With SoD in charge i'd def keep Radi. We also only seem to get the best out of McGugan when Radi plays. Its like they both have completely different energy levels when playing together. Possibly as it means we are actualy looking to play through the midfield when we have them both on.

In SoD We Trust

Agree0 Disagree0

They have no money as they have to sell to buy because there takeover has collapsed and they now have no valuable assets to sell to free up significant funds to buy big. In short, there royally buggered {Ed034's Note - no swearing please

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds takeover fallen thru made my season already

Agree0 Disagree0

Raddi for McCormack is a deal being discussed if Cox deal falls through. Personally would take him over Cox any day as has a far better record and knows SOD from a loan period at Donny.

Agree0 Disagree0

Doesn't defend or work off the ball, the other players effectively end up carrying him through sections of the 90 minutes. An all rounder like AG shows him up a little IMO

Agree0 Disagree0

Think radi had a lot of ability but as said drifts out of games think if he played like he can for 90 mins is out most creative player remember v swans in playoffs at their him and earnie changed the game and nobody else would have played as good ball for enenie

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't help but think to myself that the people who don't rate a proper footballer like randy are the same ones that rate Maloney and didn't want chambers and lynch to leave. Clueless {Ed034's Note - Then your thinking is wrong because I don't think radi is as good as people think and I don't rate Maloney. I was happy chambers left, but would have liked lynch to stay

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes weak and gives the ball away to often. Flashes of brilliance but overall deadwood and should be sold in my opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

It is true that leeds are interested in Raddy, however in a swap deal with Ken Bates going the other way! {Ed034's Note - Lol I didn't realise we needed someone to unclog the toilets

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd keep Raddy. Just need someone to get the consistency out of him. Match winner on his day (Palace away for example)

Agree0 Disagree0

Had raddy even had a sniff in any of the friendlies so far?

Agree0 Disagree0

Raddy Majewski is the most talented player we have, including mcgugan and reid. he is inconsistent, however he is a match winner. I would rather have him than not, especially toward the end of the season where every point counts and he can win us three points by doing the impossible

Hi all, just one you might like to hear.. There's a lad on the TWTD site who claims to of known Bennett for some time, says he's pretty much hooked on signing for Forest as he has moved all his stuff up to Nottingham although on trial at Donny (apparently just weighing things up) says we have offered terms for him. Been on trial at B. Dortmund as well.

Just thought I'd throw it in there, there's an article on him, scroll down and read what the fans say - its the one called "bluegc" that seems to know all this,,,

Cov Red.

Believable11 Unbelievable7

Bennett? sorry have I missed something here:)

Agree0 Disagree0

Callum Bennett..

Agree0 Disagree0

Kyle bennett? Hope so.

Agree0 Disagree0

JULIAN bennett is coming back to the city ground!

Agree0 Disagree0

Sure its not gordan

Agree0 Disagree0

Perhaps it's Tony? We can have some quality crooning at half time.

Forest wll switch attention to Ross McCormack who is known to SOD after loan spell at Doncaster. In talks at Leeds but Warnock wants cash to buy new players. McCormack actually has a better strike rate than Cox or Maynard.

Believable11 Unbelievable11

Could be something in this,Warnock saying today he needs to sell before he can buy and McCormack only has a year left on his contract but Warnock does want to keep him,it seems as tho their takeover is stalling, didn't Calderwood try to buy McCormack but he chose Cardiff instead

Agree0 Disagree0

Would prefer McCormack to Cox, better striker, and a better strike ratio, would be perfect to partner Dex up front.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nonsense. Leeds will not sell their only remaining striker this month without getting in 2 replacements. Their hands are tied until a takeover is completed. Warnock is trying to trade out squad players. Source Yorkshire Post

Agree0 Disagree0

I said this around a month ago and was shot to bits think would be a good signing

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds r a selling club so maybe

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't see Leeds letting him go is in NM plans and a real fan favourite but nice if it happens rate him

Agree0 Disagree0

Bates will sell if the money is right {Ed034's Note - i think that is defo the case now

Agree0 Disagree0

They will use him as a tade to get Raddy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Now is the time to see if Leeds will sell McCormack, the T/O is not happening, could tempt them into letting him go for the right price....better than Cox and no doubt cheaper!

Agree0 Disagree0

The takeover is happening , mccormack is signing new deal, leeds aren't a selling club, and it has nowt to do with bates, warnocks decision

Agree0 Disagree0

in doncaster hospital, one of the nurses is a very good friend of james coppinger.
He is due to sign just before the close of the transfer window. No idea why it is being left so late.

Believable7 Unbelievable22

Rubbish if he is going to sigh why at end of window utter rubbish

Agree1 Disagree0

Good player IMO, how old is he though?

Agree1 Disagree0

I hope your well, i hate hospitals

Agree0 Disagree0

31....but he is not signing at the end...thats crzy talk!

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Aug 2012 11:44:27
Coppinger is signing for the reds in the next few days. Check who he is following on twitter! I also have it from a very good source is the reason why moussa hasn't already signed is because there is an offer on the table for Liam lawrence. The trouble is its 4 grand less than what he is on at pompey (16k per week) if he doesn't accept moussa will sign {Ed034's Note - i hope we still get moussa. would give us four wide men then.

Agree4 Disagree0

BBC seem to think Lawrence is off to Cardiff but they could be wrong

Agree0 Disagree0

I would think Doncaster want to try and replace Coppinger BEFORE he leaves and we are ok with waiting until they have.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cox deal done announced tomorrow and on radio after game last night o'driscoll got questioned " there's been a lot of talks about " and he replied mcgoldricks a good plaudits tonight looked amazing his goal will boost his confidence " personally I think he had a brill game last night and deserves another chance to impress boss on Friday and the interview was on forest player!

Believable17 Unbelievable20

He played well against the Villa as well
