Soudani is back in training, and could make the squad against Middlesbrough 🤔

Lolley has a hamstring problem. 😥.

04 Oct 2018 20:45:39
PANTS has got a sight and an arm and leg problem, bet he's playing sat though?

05 Oct 2018 14:09:41
Mr Steele should be given a run of games, has to be more reliable than our big flappy pair of pants

06 Oct 2018 12:22:32
Pantillimon has a confidence problem and needs someone to put an arm around his shoulder. I expect him to play but if he has another shocker, expect him to pick up an 'injury' in training. Their centre backs are going to make or break him today, I'll be hiding behind the couch with every free kick/corner. I hope he's up for the challenge.

07 Oct 2018 20:40:28
Do we have anyone tall enough to put their arm around his shoulder?

09 Oct 2018 17:08:11
Just a thought. Ff799 can we borrow your soap box pal?😂

04 Oct 2018 12:15:59
I have never seen so many dumbfounded supporters. Head shaking. Incredulous.
I have to leave home at 6pm to get to home matches and don't get back til 11pm.
I feel as though I've lost 5 hours of my life.
I cannot EVER remember my team playing as badly.

Agree10 Disagree4

04 Oct 2018 14:39:32
You should have seen them play away at Wigan. I've never seen such woeful football.

04 Oct 2018 20:53:21
Well you’ve defo got short memories then

04 Oct 2018 21:14:01
Maybe you should try watching Sutton, that was woeful last night as was the previous one against rotherham.

05 Oct 2018 00:26:54
Yet 5th in table was minutes away

05 Oct 2018 08:36:25
Ff799: I was at the Rotherham match. The team played well, were on top the whole game and Osborn gained a penalty, so you and I obviously saw a different game.

05 Oct 2018 11:23:45
If you think the Rotherham game was good besred you need to go to spec savers.

06 Oct 2018 09:13:57
I didn't actually say the game was good in itself, the game was very average, but we rarely put a foot wrong and played better than I have witnessed over the last several years, but then I guess you are only concerned about negative criticism for its own sake. One loss in 13 matches so far is not too bad a start overall.

06 Oct 2018 09:15:13
Talking of spec-savers it's bsered not besred.

03 Oct 2018 23:27:24
First of all millwall were well worth their point our keeper had an absolute stinker, and very few come out with any credit nobody else said anything but I thought hef had a shocker, the manager went all defensive despite the fact we were 2up i'm going to say no more about carvallhio nice free kick but spent most of the night giving the ball away, grabban was a total passenger lolly the only real bright spark thought we might improve but looks like I could be wrong poor night all in.

Agree11 Disagree1

04 Oct 2018 01:27:48
I wish the boss would start with Dawson and Murphy against physical sides. It looks obvious to me but not to the boss for some reason.

I can't help feeling like the people on here who reckon this system doesn't suit Grabban were right. He has still only scored a couple of goals in the league apart from penalties. Surely the boss can work out how to get more out of him?

Finally, for a defensive approach we are conceding too many STILL!

This team has promise but it feels like something is still missing. With these players how can we be on the back foot against Millwall?

04 Oct 2018 09:23:38
Grabban is a goalpoacher, nothing else to his game, great when you play two up,but looks lost alone.
The defence looked poor all night and got a let off early when they hit the bar, doesn't help when they know the goalie will stay rooted to his line all the time and not take charge of high balls.
Heff had a very poor game getting beat numerous times in the air and we still don't look like scoring from corners.
We didn't deserve all three points, but after calvahalo goal that should have been it,don't think karanka covered himself in glory with the final two subs, sitting back and defending was asking for trouble with our fragile defence and dodgy goalie

04 Oct 2018 10:52:39
Ff79 they also had a good goal disallowed. Pants is a liability. Flat footed, never comes for crosses and inspires no confidence in those around him. As for his distribution??? Captain calamity. Simply a baffoon.
This was a game for Murphy with A another playing tight off him. Grabban offers nothing in this one up role. Dias and Carv are like boys playing for their school. Wonder about with no idea how to move to shape things and are woeful in posession. Why the defence was so poor lastnight? Msybe we were too deep and invited pressure from all angles. Every cross they put in equalled panic stations. can't remember their keeper having anything to deal with. AK needs to stop showing blind loyalty to certain players, assess the opposition and adapt. If thst means more physicality than Fox then it needs doing. Geddy is back to his inconsitent best too. Lastnight was such a disappointment. Not the result the manner in which we went about it. Totally outgunnsd by a poor Millwall side. Step up AK

04 Oct 2018 11:26:55
Ff I thought heff should have closed down quicker for Blackburn’s 2nd on Saturday too

04 Oct 2018 11:27:24
To be fair Rutland other than 70 mins in the WBA game we've played badly all season at home in championship, been very lucky at times, that luck will run out I'm afraid.

04 Oct 2018 20:44:47
Absolutely ff. 70 mins against WBA is it as far as the league is concerned.
The football under Karanka is boring as hell and although the style is defensive the defence is awful. We still concede far too many.
Hefele is slower than a cart horse and Fox never wins a header from a cross.

We have scraped last min draws at Wigan Blackburn and at home to Brum so last night was “own medicine”, reality is we deserved to lose last night.

04 Oct 2018 21:07:23
Got to agree north Notts can't see us getting enough wins to be up there,we seem to keep grabbing a couple of goals from nowhere somehow, never create many clear cut chances then make individual errors at the back,to me we played with 8 men last night, grabban and calvahalo were non existent and we didn't have a goalkeeper.
You can't carry three players and get away with it.
Most hilarious comment I heard last night was in the car on the way home,Steve Hodge on the radio blaming the fans for shouting at pants to throw it quickly, took his time as usual and then panicked 🤣🤣🤣🤣

29 Sep 2018 20:20:21
Should have had the game wrapped up either side of half time against a very insecure Blackburn defence. Credit to the team to sticking to their passing game and determination to keep going forward. Colback is the platform with his break up play and closing down.

We need to be much more clinical in the final third as Blackburn were again there for the taking after the equalizer.

GrabOne needs to start winning the ball with his back to goal when we break.

As for Bradley Dack, good vision, no great pace and to be honest a bit of a show pony in an average team . A cross between McGugan and Tomlin. No great workrate off the ball but then Colback was on his case.

Onward and Upward.

Agree4 Disagree5

30 Sep 2018 11:24:44
Colback was utter class yesterday RIE. We have a player here no doubts. Remember that header off the line. In real time that was outrageous. Their is great passion through colback hefele and fox. Jack Robinson is very tidy and reliable. About time we had a bespoke leftback.

30 Sep 2018 15:19:56
If the defence was that good we'd be winning more. Good that they have passion but hopefully they will keep a few clean sheets in the next 5 or 6 games. Time to make a run on the top 2

30 Sep 2018 16:56:54
Red You really need to take your bike to watch some matches! The defence is now solid but we conceded a fluke goal. A game we should have won.

30 Sep 2018 22:48:34
Agreed the first was a fluke but the second was rank bad defending. Still a good point away from home against a decent team.

01 Oct 2018 09:44:34
A decent result but we are still conceding too many to challenge for top two. Still time to improve though so.

01 Oct 2018 12:59:46
Conceding too many to make the top two?

We've conceded fewer goals than four of the top six. And conceded less than the team at the top of the table.

If their is a criticism to be made in either of the penalty boxes, it's not the defence, it the attack. We need to be more clinical - Only two of the ten sides above Forest have scored less.

Good stats right there. You're welcome.

02 Oct 2018 00:43:53
Only two of the last 14 teams who have finished in the top two conceded more than a goal a game. We are conceding more than a goal a game at the moment. It might be possible to finish in the top two conceding at the current rate but it looks unlikely. We could do with tightening up at the back if you ask me.

03 Oct 2018 21:55:49
2-2 from 2-0 up. Defence? Good enough for the top two? I hope so but need to improve.

It's OK, you don't have to say it.

29 Sep 2018 09:45:05
Well the stats and so called experts say today will be a tough test against Blackburn who have made a steady start?
However, other than getting a result against Brentford they have only played the struggling teams and leaky Villa.
So I'm off down the A59 expecting a Forest win 2-1 and GrabOne and Cash to start with our usual line-up.

Agree0 Disagree4

29 Sep 2018 09:55:19
Murphy is better up front. Stronger and allround better player.he has better understanding with the players and the one man up front system.

29 Sep 2018 15:48:47
Agree Rutland Murphy a lot better in that role

30 Sep 2018 01:41:25
I like Murphy too but I reckon the boss is trying to keep him fresh to be honest.

30 Sep 2018 12:24:52
He was never going to start with Murphy after playing him on Wednesday. However he is the better option playing one up front

26 Sep 2018 21:58:23
So much for not creating and scoring goals playing 4-2-3-1?

Team Karanka GELLING nicely!

Agree13 Disagree0

26 Sep 2018 22:58:48
That team will be nothing like Saturday's team though Red.
Can the A team gell like the B team did? Time will tell.

26 Sep 2018 23:24:42
Definitely getting better red.
Need a fit Murphy till Jan window, grabban not good at playing a lone ranger.

27 Sep 2018 16:36:24
We just need to sign Mr T.

27 Sep 2018 17:11:23
"What you talk'n about?? Fool!"😂😂😂

27 Sep 2018 19:54:16
I love it when a plan comes together

27 Sep 2018 23:16:07
I ain't getting on no plane.

28 Sep 2018 07:01:35
I pitty the fool who ever doubted Aitor!

28 Sep 2018 19:09:05
Nice one Gazza!

There's a long long way to go but I've always said all managers need time for a plan to come together. Thankfully AK has now bought some breathing space from the impatient baying mob and we can see where it will go.

It staggers me that having spent so much money, people were willing to chuck that money down the drain and start again. because that's what you have to do . a new manager wants new players and a new style. even more money and even more time wasted. why don't people get that.

Lets all get behind AK now and give him the support he deserves and needs to get this thing really moving. And that doesn't mean immediately turning on them if they happen to lose on Saturday.

Oh and for all those going on about the bloated squad . we can enjoy success in the league and cup the way things are going they'll pay for themselves!

Lets just hope it keeps on rolling!

You reds

28 Sep 2018 19:26:20
Worthing people's issues were his tactics not the players or squad but it seems he has finally realised he can't play Watson and colback together which is what was destroying the team, I've been behind ak the team cheering on from the stands but that doesn't mean I can't stat a glaring issue in team selection that every man and his dog could see except ak, as for squad size yes it's a concern with an average wage of probably 15k each 33 players that half a million a week which we can't sustain cup money is rubbish unless you win it

28 Sep 2018 21:39:53
We can all sit on the fence and say nothing, till we win two?🤔
We've won two games, which he needed to do,the last one painfull to watch and fortuitous against Rotherham.
We're moving forward, but don't kid yourself were the finished article.

28 Sep 2018 22:49:36
We can always rely on you to cheer us up mate.

28 Sep 2018 23:01:36
Nice one Sgetty, FF just wants to keep us grounded. 😁

29 Sep 2018 09:43:39
Talking of which Scouse I am thinking that we'll grind out a result today. 1- 0. Grabone!

29 Sep 2018 19:43:53
Like I said we aren't the finished article, but I'm glad to see the progress,a point at Blackburn is a good result.
But it's always best not say things like defence is sorted ect,yes we kept a couple of clean sheets, but not sure we can say it's sorted?
Would like to see Steele given a go behind that defence.
Keep going at it karanka and prove me wrong,I'll be delighted.

29 Sep 2018 20:33:33
You make good points as always Ff. The thing that stands out for me above all is the way that the team battle for each other right to the very end. They don't know when they are beaten!I thought it was good to see a couple of the team go straight to Grabban and make it Ok for the missed penalty. That I think have him confidence to take the second one. Together they stand and together they fall. All bodes well as I see it.

29 Sep 2018 20:55:06
Not seen it yet Sgetty, been a tough few weeks mate, had to say goodbye to my brother who was also my best mate, so football has taken a back seat,I'll catch up with it,can't comment on the performance as I wasn't there or had chance to even listen to it.
Bottom line is I'd have taken a point before kick off,but if grabban had converted the first pen it could have been different??
For me all we have to do is turn the city ground into a fortress and win the home games and then a point away will take care of things.

30 Sep 2018 09:55:48
Sorry for your loss and look after yourself.

30 Sep 2018 20:22:46
Cheers mate,I'm getting there.

26 Sep 2018 15:50:04
The alleged Ansarifard transfer is playing out in a similar fashion to the Byram loan. Which ended up being 6 weeks in the making.

Agree2 Disagree7

27 Sep 2018 05:28:46
It’s a work permit issue

27 Sep 2018 08:25:32
He has played over 60 games for his country and has played in Europe for a Turkish team, why would a work permit be a problem.?

27 Sep 2018 09:52:41
Wrong country Greek club, not Turkish.

27 Sep 2018 12:59:03
Ma6be the government is being awkward as we have a British woman locked up in an Iranian jail on a trumped up spy charge.

27 Sep 2018 14:05:58
She may be locked up but we can not be sure the spy charge is trumped up. You could be right above the government though.

27 Sep 2018 18:28:31
Ff799 you mean an Iranian woman has been locked up in an Iranian prison on spy charges.

27 Sep 2018 20:09:16
Better get Boris on the case!

27 Sep 2018 21:53:50
Psycho Iranian woman married to British man makes her 1 of ours

29 Sep 2018 09:44:54
It's all Greek to me !

25 Sep 2018 20:46:28
Well Blackburn are taking us seriously for Saturday, rested the team tonight, can' see karanka following suit.

Agree0 Disagree8

25 Sep 2018 21:34:11
To be fair Ff I think that will be the case for all teams. Rest days all round I reckon.

25 Sep 2018 22:00:50
Yep your right Boro did it as well.
Result of the round should go to Burton, playing against a strike force of wood and vydra and a strong side in general.

23 Sep 2018 22:48:06
I think Carvalio is making some great diagonal runs in behind opponents fullbacks that our midfield still isn't picking up.
Can someone tell them.

Agree5 Disagree1

24 Sep 2018 08:02:27
I’m sure those diagnal runs will be discussed, probably in quite stern terms. There was a bit of talking about it Saturday actually.

24 Sep 2018 12:16:04
Exactly the point I was trying to make a couple of weeks ago I don’t think that the midfield as it stands today are good enough to bring the best out of the players we have
Still think there’s some more work to be done in the midfield

24 Sep 2018 14:52:40
We certainly are not lacking midfield options. It's just a case of striking the right balance. I think that we are quite close to achieving that.

25 Sep 2018 01:40:59
hes supposed to be a 13m creative midfielder himself, so if players don't spot his diagonal runs surely he should get on the ball and make things happen, that's what playmakers do, let grabban make the runs?

25 Sep 2018 05:34:26
Carvalho’s movement is absolutely brilliant, he’s always looking for gaps and space. Doing this pushes teams back and keeps their defenders constantly on their toes which leads to more time and space for the midfield. Creativity isn’t just what you can do with the ball, it’s also what you can do without it.

25 Sep 2018 13:03:59
Yep think some are missing the point of a playmaker he’s supposed to be picking out the runs not making them ,

25 Sep 2018 16:36:25
Is it etched in stone what he should or should not be doing? I think not! Communication is the key. That,I think, will improve.

25 Sep 2018 17:04:36
Hi has anyone heard if that Iranian strikers paperwork as come through yet

25 Sep 2018 17:54:42
Think people are clutching at straws if all we can praise a 13mill championship player for is the odd good run he makes OFF the ball

26 Sep 2018 01:59:40
if carvalhos runs have been so good why have other players not found him or tried too? and if the other midfielders don't see them surely he needs to tell them? iv seen him once live so far against sheff wed and I thought he was awful in the 1st half just jogging around an seemed disinterested an when someone did pick him out he blazed over from 10 yards out, but in the 2nd half he was much better cus he started looking and asking for the ball so for me its down to him if he wants to play like the 2nd half of sheff wed or not like the 1st?

26 Sep 2018 08:41:31
Carvalhos shown enough to suggest he'll be a top player when the team becomes more familiar with each other.

When the players around him can anticipate those clever runs into pockets of space & find him consistently, he'll have a bigger influence offensively.

He wants to play one touch football, that will only come good when it becomes second nature to those around him.

26 Sep 2018 12:43:17
Cjay been to almost all the games and you were obviously watching something different to me

26 Sep 2018 15:00:15
Folk tend to see what they want to see.

26 Sep 2018 18:39:12
Rose tinted glasses anyone?

27 Sep 2018 00:09:57
Cjay i’ m a forest fan and want to see him do well what’s your excuse lol

23 Sep 2018 22:03:31
What on Earth is happening at Rangers? Why have we sent Worrall there to rot on the bench? It's early days but the lad ain't getting much of a look in. Our defence is getting better with recent additions but I don't understand why we are paying Dawson a fair whack to warm our bench when Worrall would be adequate and significantly cheaper.

Agree3 Disagree1

24 Sep 2018 06:17:08
Worrell played in the European cup the other night for ranges maybe he is not full match fit yet to play week in week out.

24 Sep 2018 06:40:56
Heff and fox are faultless at the moment Binns , why would you want to replace either of them? Apart from a lucky deflection we’ve been solid in the last 3 games. I don’t understand where you’re coming from there.

24 Sep 2018 11:03:21
It's also good that the lads experiencing big crowds at ibrox, puts him in a good place ready for the English premiere league next season

24 Sep 2018 15:13:45
I'd prefare us to make at least 7 changes for cup game
Steel Dawson figs concalves Dias yocab bridgcutt
And it will still be a good 11

24 Sep 2018 17:44:31
It would not surprise me to see eleven changes.
