Tell you are biggest problem; fans me included in this were never happy. what we need is to all meet up before a game have a few pints together and stick together. it's such a shame great fans, great support, but all singing off a different song sheet. let's hope Martin brings us together in the end.

Well said Skeg everyone needs to sing off the same hymn sheet for success and some fans don't do the team any favours!

Looking forward to tomorrow, next few games will show us who and how we will play.
I did think about asking redinexile to lend me his lucky red pants, but decided I'd seen enough **** for one season.😁😁😁

Well as you will be on your way to Wetherspoons and breakfast you better stick with your catch all brown pants then!

You are clearly very nervous about the way forward with your obsession over my undefeated red trousers so I wonder who it is you are really missing? πŸ˜΄πŸ€”πŸ™„πŸ€

I hope your nerves didn't get the better of you and your brown pants at half time?πŸš½πŸ‘ƒ

Shetty. He said that he agrees with the poppy for the world wars. He's against it for the troubles in Northern Ireland.
Years ago, football didn't make players wear a poppy. That's how it should be today.

I just wonder how many players and staff feel obligated to wear a poppy because they fear a backlash from fans. I also wonder do they(cuz I guarantee there are some) feel hypocritical for not being able to stand by the strength of their convictions. I am proud to be an Englishman born and bred and I am also proud,no honoured,to wear a poppy as a sign of remberence. I do not fully understand a person's reasoning for not wanting to wear a poppy and maybe I never will. I respect freedom of choice and think we are fortunate enough to live in a democracy that allows freedom of expression, after all it was in the name of freedom that our fallen heroes made the ultimate sacrifice.I am also of Irish heritage by the way and equally proud of that fact.

Very simply sorted. Forest should lead the way and wear a red and a white poppy's on their kit and then no-one should be offended?
Can we move on now?

We all have our opinions on who is a good player and who is capable of making our team stronger. Until the coaching element is bettered our continual merry go round of players will persist. We buy players on merit earned by their performances built from their last club. We then play them out of position or in systems that don't suit. If we could buy David Silva or Bernardo Silva would that be our solution? No. Our side are so static and unwilling to make runs or create space. These players look good because of the work and runs there team mates make. Pep Guadiolas book is worth a read. His coaching is based on team ethic. You watch when a player scores a goal. His celebration is with either the assister or the person who created a selfish run which created the space. Football is a simple game which Forest are making difficult. Technical players like Clough, Carvhalio should be embraced and utilised they are our play makers who have an eye for a pass if players are willing to run. We say on here we haven't had a 20 plus goal scorer for years. Oh yes we have look at Billy Sharp, Mcgoldrick and others. We haven't played to there strengths so they haven't scored for us. Could that be coaching?

paulpsy7 it's down to a lack of continuity ownership and managerwise. Welcome by the way.

Been reported that Dawson has suffered a setback and is now going to be out for a further 6 weeks. A fit Dawson is valuable as proven earlier this season but an injured Dawson is worthless. His injury record was awful so why did AK agree to a 2 year deal? I'm afraid his contract should be cancelled and if he has a role to play it's know only a coaching role. MON needs to be ruthless and trim the deadwood.

Good post agree with paulpsy when krankies teams did play well against the top teams they embraced his philosophy of playing with intensity that he always drilled on about . Unfortunately it's been missing the last few games since he's gone and consistency has been a problem when he was in charge .I hope Marty gets the team fired up to play with more energy and does have positions available to suit our talented players and youth coming through .

Sadly personal circumstances prevented me from attending today at the 11th hour for a game that I was desperate to see but unfortunately sometimes things happen which are more important than football.

I was relegated to listening to the game on the radio and the welcome given to ,and the entrance of, Mr O'Neill sounded quite marvellous and must have been a joy to witness first hand.

Unfortunately it sounded very much like things went downhill pretty much after that and even the partisan commentary couldn't disguise the fact that we appeared to struggle for much of the game and , not for the first time at home , the result was written in the stars ie a one nil loss.

It is very difficult to comment on or objectify a game that you do not witnees first hand but after the initial few minutes the ground seemed to be very quiet which may or may not be due to the broadcasting system.

Its been said that we do not perhaps make as much noise as we should but its a kind of chicken or egg syndrome which I have witnessed so often at home insofar as its difficult to make noise and get excited if what you are watching is poor fare but his was never going to be an easy game.

Bristol are no mugs, a new 4 4 2 system was being tried and the back four was to some extent and for various reasons not our best.

Lolley , it sounded, continues to be having an average time of things though Colback by the SOUND of it appeared to have a decent game but once again I got the impression the rest of the side were pretty well a 5 out of 10 again.

I have posted on here that I thought that Carvalho could benefit from a spell on the bench becuase whilst he undoubtedly to my mind has a very good touch and can pick a pass I don't think he tackles well and easily loses the ball and generally doesn't like to " mix it ".

Well it may be time for his reintroduction in an effort to provide those touches and passes to allow Grabban/Murphy to profit from them because for the last two games we seem to have had little in the way of creative play and I would be overjoyed for him to cover my face with egg.

Rome was not built in a day and the warm glow of the new season seems a long long time ago but sad to say its not the first time we have had to pick ourselves up and do what we do best and allow others to try and do the same.

HOPEFULLY I will be back at the WFCG next Saturday to add my voice to yours and as always . . .
