Does anyone know if our re vamped 25 man squad is finalised now for the rest of the season. I reckon with all the outgoings it stands atm like this.
Fullbacks Williams, Aina, Toffolo, Tavares Montiel
Centre backs Omobamidele, Felipe, Niakhate, Boly, Murillo
Midfielders. Yates, Danillo, Dominquez, Kouyate, MGW, Sanghere
Wingers. CHO, Freyna, Elanga
Centre forwards. Woody, Taiwo, Origi
That totals 22 unless I've forgotten anybody
Add to that, say, 3 goalkeepers Sels, Turner and Vlach ( minus Hennessy)
Is that the 25? I believe Academy lads and young Ribeiro don't count towards the total?

In which case, it sounds as though Mr Nuno has got the size of squad he wanted ( and Cooper before him preferred but didn't get).

Come on Munmad, we need you. With all our absences ( 11 in total) I can't get any 11 together without using at least 3 Academy lads and probably 4. Any ideas mate? I think even Nuno is scratching his head atm.
I can only scratch together Turner or Vlach in goal, Montiel and Williams, Murillo and Obamimede at centre backs, then Danillo plus one holding, MGW then Elanga, Anoniyi and one other up top.
The only problem is we need to rest quite a few of those before Saturday and preserve key players like MGW. Also playing players who have been out injured for a while like Anoniyi and Elanga is asking for injury setbacks.
I think we may have to sacrifice progress in the Cup?

One of the worst footballing displays I've ever seen in the Premier League. Looked like League 1 standard in terms of passing, finishing, crossing and tempo. MGW and Dominguez poor beyond belief and Nico Williams looked like a frail schoolboy out of his depth. Elanga clearly not ready from his involvement. Referee poor and the Bournemouth player who was substituted should have been sent off. We won't meet a worse team away from home - they were shocking. Well taken goal by Hudson-Odoi and hope he's not injured again. Must have everybody fully fit quickly. Painful to watch today.

Think we will beat Arsenal tomorrow night we need to win the midfield battle and negate their main threat Martinelli and Saka

I'd go 4-2-3-1 against them as they don't play with a natural No 9 and rely on their wingers cutting in and scoring for them

Just thinking how the IT free kick incident could benefit Yatesy s style of captaincy, a learning experience. When we had Paul McKenna as captain he was in the refs ear all the time on the teams behalf ( but in a restrained dignified reasonable way) and would definitely have prevented the free kick being taken illegally.
