Just read an article from London saying Morgan Judus White has handed in a transfer request, good riddance to him💩🌳.

RUMOUR:

Forest have agreed personal terms with Mallorca RB/ WB Maffeo. He was on Man City's books back in the day (3 app) but don't remember seeing him play.

Interesting player. Pablo Carmine Maffeo Becerra, came through at Espanyol, joined city, full Spain youth International, no caps for the senior side so through his grandparents became an Argentinian international, no caps yet but been called up twice. Had a stint in Germany with Stuttgart.
For the price he looks good. 🌳.

Dutch media are reporting that Bakayoko has left the PSV training camp with a transfer imminent.
While German media believe he's off to RB leipzig, Dutch media are saying he could be premier league bound with Everton, Bournemouth and ourselves as possible buyers. 🌳.

He'll want Champions League football which we can't offer him.

Neither can RB Leipzig, no European footy at all.

He's signing for Leipzig who are not in the champion's League I think. I think he would rather play in Germany than the Prem. Maybe a language culture thing or maybe he isn't up for the challenge?

Ramsey costs more and slightly older but proven in the Prem. Ramsay might not even have to move house, which could help.

Some press (possibly BS) rumour from the Torygraph:

"Nottingham Forest make Aston Villa’s Jacob Ramsey their No 1 target"

Agree1 0Disagree

16 Jul 2025 16:45:00
Lastwordonsports:

"What Would Jacob Ramsey Bring to Forest?

At just 24 years old, Ramsey brings vast top-level experience. He has been a Premier League regular at Villa for the last five seasons, and made ten appearances in last year’s Champions League, making him a highly valuable addition as Forest look to repeat last season’s heroics.

A technically gifted attacking midfielder with fantastic vision, work rate, and link-up play, Ramsey has a number of similar characteristics to Gibbs-White and could flourish if given more responsibility at Forest than he currently has at Villa. The 24-year-old also has an eye for goal, scoring six league goals in both the 2021/ 22 and 2022/ 23 seasons, and enjoys making late runs into the box from deep. "

My worry is Villa need the cash for PSR but would they want to help a close rival for Europe? Most likely not.

16 Jul 2025 16:53:56
Oh, I've also seen 2 articles that are just hilarious. One saying Spurs are rivalling Forest for Ramsey and the other that they are rivalling Forest for McAtee. 🤪🙄🤣

Mishcheif from Tottenham, most likely for obvious reasons. Football is ridiculous.

RUMOUR BirminghamWorld:

"Nottingham Forest are eyeing an ambitious swoop for Aston Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey"

Plays on left of midfield, number 8 or number 10. 24 years old so might retain some resale value so sounds more like a Forest signing under the current recruitment team.

Apparently Textor is still going to sign Danilo but not for Lyon. Botafogo is the possible destination for about £20M.

Would he want to go back to Brazil? Who do we have lined up for midfield?

Believable1 0Unbelievable

14 Jul 2025 18:19:22
Oh, interestingly, Almada might be coming from Lyon (another Textor club) for a similar fee.

Almada is an Argentine international playmaker type, who can play at number 10 or on the left.

This is a rumour site, Ripley. We are chatting about rumours. Enjoy the fun of trying to work out which ones are real.

The one they really are trying to make happen is McAtee, but the fee might go too high. At least that's what my radar is saying. I also think he's going to do well, wherever he ends up. His numbers are impressive and he has experience at Prem level already.

RUMOUR from La Casa Dello Sport:-

"NottinghamForest is actually interested in Samuel Lino. The Brazilian left winger could leave the AtléticoMadrid in this market session.

Believable1 0Unbelievable

I imagine Lino likes it played on the floor Cyclists? 😔🤔😀.

Agree1 0Disagree

14 Jul 2025 00:06:03
Do we need the midfield walked all over?

ForestNews: "Given that Lino can operate anywhere down the left-hand side, it perhaps makes sense that Forest would look at a player of this nature.

Forest might need to adapt next season and play in a different style that deploys three central midfielders rather than the 4-2-3-1 that was so often on display in 2024/ 25.

Lino’s flexibility would give Forest that option and it’s not a surprise that this particular player has been linked with a move to the club.

Naturally, Lino would have to prove himself in the Premier League but in the grand scheme of things, this is a deal that could suit Forest if the price is right. "

Brazil Position: Attack - Left Winger Foot: right footed.

13 goals and 11 assists in 113 La Liga games. Played 2 games in World club cup for Athletico Madrid. Could be a decent option.

Champions League: 17 appearances, 3 goals, 6 assists.

Hmmmm. Dunno.

Nottingham Forest ‘most advanced’ for Johan Bakayoko

TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has reiterated that Forest are the most advanced club in pursuit of Bakayoko – they have liked him for months.

Bournemouth, Brentford and West Ham have all shown an interest, and we can include Everton too.

Newcastle had Bakayoko on their list before signing Elanga, while Liverpool have always been fans of the 22-year-old.

RB Leipzig, Bayer Leverkusen and Atalanta are also keen – but sources believe an English move is the most likely outcome.

We are told that a deal for Bakayoko is likely at around €25million (£22million) all in.

13 Jul 2025 05:59:12
Won't be coming he Red
Bakayoko is talks with Club's who are in the Champions League.
It's common knowledge that Forest are desperate for replacement's but are not willing to pay a fair price for player's.
As an example £20 million was offered for Wissa.

13 Jul 2025 09:57:09
Ripley, your optimism is inspiring me again. 😂

We have been able to sign good players and not pay £50M on a regular basis so far. Do you want to throw money around and end up back where we were?

Interestingly, the last player we threw everything at to sign him was MGW. We paid a lot and inserted a release clause (if the reports are correct) meaning we couldn't make a big profit on him and if he decided to go we were stitched up.

Clubs like Bre tford and recently Forest are doing it right. Buy young hungry players, back them up with a few experienced heads (Boly, Milenkovic) the odd local lad (Yates) and you get the right attitude and the squad increases in value every season. £50M on a 28 year-old will (Wissa) do the opposite.

Agree4 0Disagree

13 Jul 2025 10:58:24
Ripley, you’re spot on mate, nothing wrong with being realistic, to the optimist realism will alway be dismissed as pessimism. There is of course every chance we might find a player who’s lost there way and needs a springboard. Players that are fancied by a range of bigger clubs are unlikely to chose Forest I would say.

Agree1 0Disagree

13 Jul 2025 13:28:17
Forest are only right to test the waters with brentford on wissa, he is in last year of contract and will look at offers from forest and spurs, where he would best fit as he 28 and may want to play in europe at spurs he will be challenging solanke and richardson, at forest Woods and jesus, or potentially play on the right, so it depends on wether he wants to go, I would expect spurs would be the ideal, but they maybe just playing a game seeing as they not made a bid.

Agree0 0Disagree

13 Jul 2025 20:13:41
One chequebook signing would probably make sense. Wissa is decent but if I was going to spend £50M I'd prefer it to be someone younger for resale vaue. If they can amortise it over 4 years or something that would work for me.

Agree0 0Disagree

13 Jul 2025 20:22:07
Leipzig or Bayer will get him as they can offer champions league football.

13 Jul 2025 21:36:51
Red cyclist.
You're optimistic opinion is blinding your judgement.
Having the fund's is only half the issue.
You bid for a player with a cheeky price you then get rebuffed.
You go to the next player and get rebuffed again.
You can only knock on club door's for long by which time the window is over and for the alleged effort Forest are putting nto trying to obtain player's time has ran out.
For all we know Forest are gambling on Jesus and the rest of the squad to be successful?
Don't be so knaive into believing because of Forest's past glory this will entice whoever recruitment tap up they have a requirement to join.
I'm sorry to say but being optimistic as opposed to realism is like saying miracle's happen.

Agree1 0Disagree

13 Jul 2025 21:48:15
Red regards the sell on clause Forest were at fault for putting a low price. in the clause.

I will throw this at you.
Buying unproven player's is a huge gamble that mostly ends in failure.
Forest have had their share of buying so called gem's only for the to be flop's.
Forest are in Europe albeit not the Champions League and quality player's are needed.

So yes I would spend as quality doesn't come cheap.
Ambition is built on spending wisely bit shopping in Brazil may or may not work?
If it does great but it's the same old merry go round.

Two good player's have gone/ going with no solid evidence of replacing them.
Do you wish Forest to be hugely successful or would you be satisfied if they battled each year avoiding relegation?
Unfortunately success costs red!

14 Jul 2025 12:45:43
Silkman, Leipzig aren't in the Champion's League.

Ripley, I didn't say anything about not showing ambition. I'm saying the £50M aught to be invested in a player wioth more resale value. If a £50M signing for a 28 year-old doesn't work out, that really is a disaster.

11 Jul 2025 23:11:53
They (Nottingham Forest) are weighing up an an initial bid of about £25million plus add-ons, though it is understood (Manchester) City value their homegrown player closer to £40m - the fee they received from Chelsea for Cole Palmer two years ago.

Just been reading how the owner is angry. What a joke. It's his club and, as with EVERYTHING else in life, the one at the top HAS to take responsibilty. Just as with the Captain of a ship or the driver of a vehicle, it is his fault and he shouldn't be allowed to blame anyone else!

11 Jul 2025 20:03:18
He will go whatever the legal challenge will be as anything with the Pl and the big clubs will be smoothed over with a fine if it can be proved. Obviously MGW agent that has given the information to spurs and MGW will just change agents and Forest won't be compensated, so have to move on from MGW, been signed to help them with CL squad rules.

11 Jul 2025 20:07:13
Someone needs sacking for putting a £60 million release clause in his contract. Especially when all the add-ons on the initial deal totalled up to £42 million. Representing a miserly £18 million profit and Wolves getting some of it.
