I couldn't care less who goes up in third place. The fact is we weren't nearly good enough to be contenders. Over the past couple of months the 4 teams contesting the play offs have put 16 goals past us and we have managed 4 in reply. Enough said on that one. Let's focus on the future and the rebuilding job that Pearce must undertake - on the pitch primarily but also concerning the club's relationship with fans and the press. It certainly looks as though he means business and I am optimistic.

PS. Ed I can't stop an annoying car advert that appears when reading other people's banter. It won't seem to pause like similar ones always did. Anybody any ideas?

I think you mean that our reserves and youth team wernt nearly good enough in the last couple of months. our last two games were played with only 2 first team starters in them, and in one of them Mackie played right back and peltier played CB. its not an excuse its a fact!
