If Nigel Clough has stated he regrets leaving Burton for Derby then that suggests certain things.

1) He prefers being with a club where there is next to no pressure on him, in which means joining Forest would be out of the question.

2) He has had a spell in his life where he was in a daze and has just remembered what a hell it was to work for Derby. Do you want a manager that spends years in a daze.

3) He has taken the Forest job and wants to placate we the fans for daring to join Derby, in which case how can we trust him to be honest with us, also how do we know he will not say the same about us when he leaves us.

4) He will always be in the shadow of his father and will constantly be reminded of what his father achieved, the media will even ask him would your father have done that.

5) He serves up the same style of football that many turned on Df for serving up.

If Nigel did not have the Clough surname many would not entertain him as the Forest manager.
