On a general rumour site, it says that Crystal Palace are going to get Austin for £3m this next week!. Now you didn`t think that it was going to be so easy for such a prolific striker did you? (despite a damaged knee and shoulder). He did say he wanted Premier football aswell didn`t he?

It would come as no surprise if this were true. Holloway talked about transfer failures last week so it may well be the case they up the ante this next couple of weeks and look at their second or third choice targets. Also not a surprise if Austin waits as long as possible to decide his future just to see if any lower level prem clubs come in

I think this is Maybe agent trying to get price bumped up to get more commission. Austin will look at who we have brought in on the flanks and think these guys will create bags of opportunities to score goals. I think we have a great chance of getting Austin. We are showing bags of ambition and will be in the top two with him or someone like mulenga. If he wants to be part of our history he will join the mighty reds on our journey.

They are looking at strikers because they were in talks with Carlton Cole the other week but could not agree terms
