Looks like a deal going to finally be signed to tie hobbs to a deal at the cg according to nottingham post. Thank god, going to prove to be a stellar signing by billy boy. ( mr maynard)

Yeah read this on tv as well, let's hope we can tie this up because it would be a tragedy if we lost him for whatever reason at this stage. I also spotted that Wigan are looking to bring in a defender on loan from one of the top four, which is only relevant to us because it should mean that they've lost interest in Hobbs, or at least know that they've lost the battle for his signature.

As promised to myself at Xmas and New Year. I need some good news as I had to spend time with family, 2 daughters one married to a Direby fan and one married to a Fox fan, so you can imagine what I went through. As the saying goes "you can pick your friends but you can't pick your family". Both son in laws bet me that Hobbs wouldn't sign for the super Reds. Sorry if you thought I had promised you but if I ever meet you there will be one large one supplied. COYR

Yes, it will be great news if we manage to sign Hobbs on a permanent basis and it's great we've extended Reidy's contract but the fact remains that we haven't actually strengthened the squad (unlike most of our rivals)

We have a stronger squad than most in the championship already. There are 31 days in January. Don't panic. A striker may or may not come. I'd like to get Vaughn and Hobbs signed as priority.
