Not my rumour just passing on what's been on a radio station (the one where they talk all day about sport). Both Arsenal & Newcastle have made a bid for Lascelles.

Ed am I right in thinking that a certain chairman of this club stated not so long ago that he would like to see a third star on our shirt. If correct why do people keep putting up this type of rumour when it is clearly evident if we are to compete at that level we need to be holding on to Lascelles and not selling him to what could be our future rivals for this particular competition. And for the record in my eyes he will be the best CB this country has seen for a long time.

"This kind of rumour"? The post didn't say the club wanted to, or had to sell. It was just saying what HAS been on the radio. A lot of clubs will be looking at both Lascelles and Darlow and some will make an offer. It's the way football works. We all hope Forest won't sell but also we all know that once the big boys come calling and players heads are turned, it's sometimes hard to stop that runaway train.
