I'd love Deeney, but I think he'd cost £5 million at least and with prem clubs sniffing around too.

Why not, plenty of players off the wage bill, Fryatt costs nothing 5 mill is nothing for uncle Fawaz, we were putting this type of bids in last season for players ie: Austin! Fryatt and Deeney up front Boooom! :-)

All very well spending £5million on a player still go FFP rules which give the relegated three unfair advantage but that's football!

With Premier league teams interested I doubt any Championship club stands a chance of signing Deeney. MCormack is another that will be on the move and again he will be Premier bound.
SP is doing the right thing by trying to pick up a bargain from Europe. Lots of talent out there and maybe we can pick one or two up at a sensible price.
