hi ed, recently seen a nottingham forest transfer rumour all over facebook and twitter wondered if you can clear air with it for me?? apparently nottingham forest have place another bid for ross mcormack, believed to be about 7 million and they have accepted. forest are now talking personal terms? would a cracker if they could have him. matt fryatt and ross mcormack up front!!

{Ed034's Note - I'm not saying they are or aren't, as I do not know, but the fact this rumour comes out straight after it's announced McCormack has not travelled, suggest it's made up

1.) 30 Jun 2014
I have heard that we have had a bid accept too. We are only one who has matched the asking price. Heard 8mill by a Leeds fan.

2.) 30 Jun 2014
If it is true, and I have heard the same, then can see darlow or lascelles moving on, only reason to balance the books.

3.) 30 Jun 2014
Not saying this Isn't true but I doubt it is. And hope It isn't, I'd prefer us offering that sort of money on Connor Wickham

4.) 30 Jun 2014
I personally can't see us bidding that much for a single player. Its too high a risk to gamble on one player

5.) 30 Jun 2014
Cant see this one happening, Fawaz and SP won't splash the cash to the extent being talked about. I feel that you can get a much better player for that money, don't rate him at that price, he's good but not 7/8 million good!

6.) 30 Jun 2014
Dont think this is true nor do I want it to be true. Mad for us to pay 7 mil plus silly high wages for championship player. Norwich or Fulham are the favourites for me if he was to leave Leeds.

7.) 30 Jun 2014
McCormack is going to cost silly money and as Warnock confirms you have to play a system around him to get the goals return.
Not worth the injury risk of building a team around him. Remember he was not exactly a prolific scorer until he went to Leeds.

8.) 30 Jun 2014
I actually think he is worth £7/8 mil - he has been consistently one of the top goalscorers in the championship over the last 3 or 4 seasons. Could be the player we need to take us up, no disrespect to Fryatt but I don't think he's going to score the amount of goals people think he's going to score. Whereas McCormack has got more of a predatory instinct in front of goal. Hey I may be wrong and Fryatt will get 20+ goals this season and then Veldwijk as well and we won't need to worry. Just saying that bringing someone like McCormack in, isn't such a risk as people are making it out to be.

9.) 30 Jun 2014
Consistent?consistently inconsistent yes. he has a good season followed by one or two bad ones.5million would be too much, I really hope we don't spend that much on a single player.

10.) 30 Jun 2014
If we are going to spend big on one player, please not him. Spend that money on either Wickham or Rhodes. Much better striking options. However we still need pace! How bout spend some money there? How bout scott Sinclair? Kind of a bit forgot now, would be awesome IMO.

11.) 30 Jun 2014
Just looked on the bird site and fulham are massively odds on to sign him thank good!

Rubbish rumour in my opinion, don't get me wrong he is a good player and has an incredible first touch and knows where the net is but he has only really had one excellent season, 7m is way too much for a player like that, esp in the 2nd division.
He has prem written all over him.

13.) 30 Jun 2014
That makes sense. Incredible first touch, knows wher the net is, has prem written all over him. Yeh 7m sounds too much!

14.) 30 Jun 2014
Ed we not even enquired about ross last I knew of from a leeds fan ross was prem bound pearce ain't that silly to splash 7/8 mill on a 27 yr old he probably has 2/3 yrs tops before he is past his peak

also this was on there rumour site

ssn:Ross McCormack has not travelled with the rest of the squad to Italy-looks like he's on his way to either Norwich or Fulham for around 8 million. Why would he leave for a smaller club, by leaving for a championship club he has betrayed Leeds fans-Look forward to his Elland road trip next season!

{Ed034's Note - I think he'll end up prem, but those coming down have cash to splash and at the moment nobody really knows anything about leeds' finance

Breckers, do you not understand what Division we are in? We are in the championship, 7m is far too much money + wages. With no sales from players, and a club that has to abide by FFP, the thought of splashing out 7m is obscene.
Good bargain for a prem team who get ridiculous amounts of money from TV revenue and sponsers.

16.) 30 Jun 2014
Fair enough mate. Read your original post wrong.

Would be amazing

18.) 30 Jun 2014
McCormack would be great but not for 7m
Maybe 5m plus hendo and cox.
But if u spending 7m go for wicked or roades

19.) 30 Jun 2014
Way too many money for him, he is not that good, sorry!
If we got that kind of money, let us get Rhodes, much better!
Just my opinion!

{Ed034's Note - Rhodes would be around £9m-£10m

20.) 30 Jun 2014
30 Jun 2014 20:36:03
Sorry worth £3m at the most. Not saying he is a bad player and would score goals, but it's too much. He is also down the pecking order for Scotland. He left Scotland for just over £100,000 and Forest were one of the clubs he knocked back to go to Cardiff. We should be looking at potential which can be picked up for a bargain, just like McCormack was about 5/6 years ago.

21.) 30 Jun 2014
He has signed for fulham

Most the papers say that fulham and west ham are going to bid £12m as that's the minimum the leeds owner wants to sell him for

{Ed034's Note - crazy
