Forest are linked with Norwegian striker Bjorn Johnsen of AZ Alkmaar in Holland.

Folks are already moaning at his mediocre goal scoring record for AZ (7 goals in 25 games last season), but most of his appearances where from the bench, his goals to minutes ratio is quite good! - A goal every 142 minutes (approx. a goal every 1.5 games) . Not too shabby considering he's not playing regularly. He's also scored 5 goals in 13 caps for Norway.

He's 6' 4" and should offer a different option for us. I think he might be worth a punt, personally.

Sounds a bit like Lars veldwijk enough said, we shouldn't be looking to take a punt we should be looking for a proven striker at this level.

Proven strikers at this level cost a minimum of 10 million. Easier said than done! We don’t really need a prolific goal scorer we need someone different to Grabs. If we get the right type of striker to hold up play, run the lines, set up our midfielders it would be perfect.

Neil maupay at brentford had probably worse stats than this guy at st ettien in france he only scored 1 goal in 15 games. At nice he scored 6 goals in 44 but now for brentford he's one of the best strikers in the championship so this guy could be worth a punt.

Depends how much they want for him. At 27 should be at his peak. Been at hearts so should speak English at least!?

Why is it when a player from a given country turns out to be no good, all players from that country are said no good with some people.

If he has the character and commitment of "Alfie" Haarland then he will do for me!

OBE saw the potential and got the best out of him.

If we have a decent coach and he is the "right type" then his stats are meaningless if played to his strengths? We need a brute of a hold up centre forward to get our creative "girls in the backs" to fire and score!

We have had some very good Scottish players, how about some Scottish players to come in red.

Bottom line though red it's all its and buts.
We can manage to sign shed l8ads of midfielders that aren't good enough or we don't need but bring in crap strikers sporadically and get rid in quick time because they are what it say on tin, crap 🤔.

What about Sturridge - free agent now. He might be worth a punt. He'd tear this league up!

Wot I would say is a good coach can make a crap player look fantastic, we have had a lot of players leave in the past then turned out to be great elsewhere. If they play to there strengths it builds confidence and belief, we haven’t had that since Billy Davis era.

Yes, you could say he is a bit like Darryl Murphy. Except for a few key points.

1. He's 9-years younger than Murphy and not well past his peak. So he'll probably retain some sell-on value instead of investing in a player who's about to swap his boots for a pipe and slippers.
2. He's not a statue like Murphy, he's at his physical peak and should still have a lot more pace and dynamism than Murphy. Not just a static No9 who struggles to play more than once a week.
3. He'll probably want considerably less in his wage packet than Murphy is currently on. I'd imagine DM is on well over £20k a week, BJ should be well under.

Other than that though, yes, he's identical to Murphy.

Stevie. Cloughie scouted him in 1992 but he did not join until Frank Clark joined in 1993!
