Good money if true, hope we don't regret it, he is a good workhorse.

I guess Silva will chip in with the free kicks, pardon the pun.

Been part of a failing squad for to many years. It's time to rethink the whole squad.
Good luck to him nice kid.
If worrell goes next good luck to him too. In the same boat good player but not class.
Same category for Cash too.
Let's face it nobody wants the magnificent 7.Murphy, Cummings Clough etc. got to raise striker cash from somewhere.

Read someone say “5 mil is a great deal for a player whose best attribute is his work rate”. opinions?

He'll be back in the championship next season, either with sheff utd or another team. Work rate, he has it in abundance but that's as far is it goes. He doesn't do anything else particularly well. 5m for a player of his quality in the last year of his contract is daylight robbery by Forest. Maybe some supporting will talk about how he's been such a great servant but at the end of the day, he's not good enough and sheff utd will soon understand that his so called stats, don't quite add up.

Absolutely spot on. Benny gives 100% but has flatlined in progression for a while. Too small as a LB, too few goals as a CM. 5M is a deal well done.

1 year left on his contract is good business. Hopefully the ball will now get moved forward more quickly in midfield without the compulsory check and turn?

Haha RIE, that's all Osborn can do. Run 20 yards. Stop. Turn. Pass it back 30 yards. Momentum, gone.

Funny how if I said that about Osborn, which I have on many occasions, you would disagree and say what a player he was redinexile.
Good to see him gone great engine but no football brain.

He's only crime is having the ability to play in many positions and had to develop a career with one manager after another with differing football tactics and no appreciation of their best team let alone this lads best position. Are you all saying a championship winning manager renowned for picking up bargains doesn't know what he's doing? He will be sorely missed as the lad who gave his all in whatever role he was asked to do that many of his more experienced colleagues couldn't do. He reminds me of Ian Bowyer not the most gifted but does a great job for the team.

Personally, I'm looking forward to his inevitable transfer to Derby County later down the line. Should make for a fun CG return.

Only £3 million-disappointing. Why contract not renewed earlier?!

Osborn has a loyalty and commitment to Forest that no one can deny. When he is allowed to play midfield he is a completely selfless player. Chris Wilder is a common sense manager and I think Benny will show the doubters on this site that he made a good move. AV and Sheffield will stay up next season due to their managers buying sensibly a few players to fit a successful team. We buy as many as we can and completely change everything! Good luck to Benny.
