This is not unrealistic.

Blackburns finances may be drying up and may need to cash in P'raps about £4m.

Blackburn may not be meeting Rhodes ambition and Blackburn not able to attract the players it needs with some big clubs now in this league

Would be an awesome signing.

Hmm if they paid 8 mil for him a year ago and he scored more than 20 goals last season. why would they sell for any less than that? We would have to smash our transfer record. I don't doubt Fawaz has the cash but we basically might as well dance all over ffp if we did go for him. Plus I've read Swansea are in for him.

As Blackburn still have the parachute payments I doubt money drying up is the issue although next year that could be the case. Can't see them selling at a loss to be honest as they know they need to get out this division this season and we won't pay what Blackburn will want for him

FFP for city and Monaco is under uefa, football league have their version voted by all clubs.
All sponsorship deals subject review and as for selling rights to tv, it's on approval of FL

Don't understand why people think he is worth over £8m.

The best striker in that division last year was Charlie Austin. His value was approx £4.5m (Which is what Hull offered) He finished up at QPR for approx £4m because of his knee.

No striker in the Championship without PL experience is worth £8m+

Jordan Rhodes is an outstanding striker but Blackburn paid way over the odds for him at £8m. But Blackburn has been run by the Venkeys in the past and they have made some bad decisions.

Going by last years scorers we`ve also got Geddy, Lansbury, Reid, Raddy etc etc. I think we're in a good position even if we don't get another striker straight away. don't get me wrong, i'd have Rhodes, but I`m not that bothered.

To "thefamousteam" team poster - totally agree. Blackburn grossly overpaid for him and he is not worth £8m. They would be lucky to get half that. They've wasted so much money at Blackburn and my prediction is they'll bein Administration as soon as the parachute payments expire (and it gives me no pleasure to say it). The Venkys are clueless. Rhodes is a realistic target and would add something to the team.
