James H Cross, respected agent and Forest fan, says Abdoun and Djebbour dining together tonight. Should be announced tomorrow. Perhaps waiting for Vaughan to sign too?

Just a thought but why announce it now?

Tactically it would be better to leave it as late as possible prior to the Watford game - why let them know so soon that we have a new forward so they can do their homework.

According to transfermarket uk website Rafik Djebbour is a forest player with the fee being 1. 32 million pounds.

Why you expect Abdoun not to eat or something or to welcome his fellow countryman to England. It doesn't mean he is out in the dentist chair with Gazza downing cocktails and then a ruby murry, lighting farts on the pavement (you know you Uni boys)etc. He's probably a devout muslim for starters so no alcohol, plus a toned athlete etc etc blah blah

Well I certainly hope this guy hits the ground running and we don't have to go through another episode of he's not match ready yet so we'll see him mid April! Coyr.

I think he should be better conditioned than Abdoun was. He's not just had a summer break and the Turkish League where he was on loan can be quite full on. Hopefully he'll adapt quickly to the championship and start banging them in.

Djebbour did comment that he has kept himself fit. Like Ed suggested I can see 20-30min cameo on Thursday.

I don't expect Djebbour to be in the squad for Thursday. He will have to get to know His manager and his team mates, He will also have to know the way we play.

{Ed034's Note - from what I understand he has been training with us all week and a twenty/thirty minute cameo could give the crowd a lift

Dunno about you, but if I don't eat I get tired and cranky - why is it unbelievable for a player to go eat?

{Ed034's Note - I fount the comment about expecting him to be out two days before a match rather funny. I dint realise that players stopped eating two days before the play. they must be starving over Christmas
