Telegraph saying Pearce has met with Fawaz and McGovern but wants contract longer than just to the end of the season. Surely all of the names being linked with the job would not really want to come for just a few matches.

Give him what he wants. I think this would be a good appointment. capello has his assistant. lol.

I hope pyscho gets the job. Forest through and through.

I love Pearce a true Forest legend but for me not the man for this sorry Mr P may be a Dream but my ideal set up would be MacKay as Manger he has tactical ability and experience I would have Hoddle as Director of footy think he has great experience and good connections and Pearce get out scouting for us bring in some youth yes a Dream but think thus would be some set up.

Great news bigg fans favourite including me. But I am nervous for him. he's always been a forest legend woulnt want him to loose that title if he fails!

I truly believe stuart pearce should big be a part of forest. but as manager, not so sure.

It would be great to see a legend like Pearce get the job and excel at it. I would personally love to see him get the job and do well but would hate to see his legendary status amongst fans or the club tarnished should things go wrong. The steel he showed as a player is ultimately what our teams of late have lacked it seems. I don't envy fawaz in having to pick a manager because he himself really needs to get this appointment right. If we are looking for another manager by Christmas due to poor results it puts the owner under serious pressure. Hopefully our luck on and off the field changes and we are just on the cusp of immense success. Some great debate on the site ed I think and some really great points of view. Here's hoping and ftid.

Pearce manager working with hoddle as director of football everyone's a winner. Zola could be alright but I'd expect a huge influx of foreign players who's names would be difficult to pronounce and here to put themselves in the shop window

Are you guys serious, Forest thru and thru, if that's all it takes any of us could do the job! football thru and thru please. Mackay or Zola perhaps. But please not Pearce. Fawaz being advised by McGovern. what is going on! Frank Clarke maybe, but McGovern, you can't be serious!

Saw Pearce give a talk @ approach and didn't get the same feel for the love of the club as you do with, say, robbo. Pearce could galvanise the crowd, if nothing else, for the last few matches. Imagine first home game, almost worth it just for that. Could turn nasty if things carry on as they are - crowd would really turn on players, as they started to the other night. All in all I'd give any of those being touted a chance and time. If it's Pearce and the dice rolled his way and we somehow went up this season they'd be building a statue to him on Trent Bridge.

{Ed034's Note - ive saw him there and I disagree
