Cheers edski for reply on away fan allocation. Got me thinking yesterday bout cg its got to be 20 years since we redevoloped the ground and on the way home I looked back and thought the ground looks a bit tired now. Don't get me wrong I love the ground first time been in ages and as U said edski walk over the Trent and see the cg in all its glory, beautiful. But what do fellow reds think if we got promoted and established ourselves in the prem with the idea of a new ground. I know we can't build the trent end anymore being so close to the river. Ideally we could add 8 to 10 thousand on a new Main stand and build a new BC stand and bridgeford end, replicate it as it is just make them larger stands, taking our capacity to say 45,000 so the cg still maintains its atmosphere unlike arsenals new ground. I love the cg me dad took me for the first time when I was 12, I didn't know I was going we just stopped outside, I was in awe and me dad said come on I got tickets, best birthday present ever. And yesterday I stood on the canal after the match and took a pic of the cg with a rainbow looming over. But I think fawaz wants to take forest global make them a top team to be feared and generate a new era of fans if so he must be thinking about an improved ground. All the top teams got top stadiums.

They will develop the main stand if we get promoted - fatwas has already made comments about it. The future stand though will probably focus more on corporate hospitality seats with the higher revenue potentials as we will never get more than 35,000 seats.

We can't even fill the current stadium so let's save the dosh for new players! Couldn't make the game yesterday as I had to go to my niece's party in London. Ended up sitting next to a Fester fan on the train on the way home, thought he was a Chelski fan and thanked him for the win. He did admit that their newish ground is poor and nearly as bad as pooh park so be thankful for what we have.

{Ed034's Note - it will only happen if we get promoted.

It will probably never happen but, what if we did have a 40 000 seater stadium, don't you think we could fill it by lowering the ticket prices, and for example if 20 000 tickets at £30 earn the club £600. 000 and 40-000 at £20 is still more profit at £800-000, ok I know ticket prices vary but you get the idea, what do you reckon Ed et al?

{Ed034's Note - I think you are right, it'll never happen

I can't understand comments that we couldn't fill a bigger stadium. Where do you think all the fans have gone? Sadly a lot of football fans in general are fickle!
I've got a couple of old trent end boys, that have stopped coming not because they don't love the club anymore. But was fed up of the circus activities going on under the ND era. (Not his fault & the fans will always be in debt to the bloke. )
If you're not convinced just look at Beighton, 6yrs ago were only pulling 6k tops at the Withdean. (Any of you that went you'll know what a dive it was) moved to that Amex with 20k now doing well they've got an average crowd of 27k and away support is always good.
To survive in the big time well need to move. Sad to admit it but we need bums on seats, to create revenue for the club to hit it's FFP targets.

{Ed034's Note - disagree that we need to move. Moving won't bring fans pouring in. Watching Chelsea, city etc will.

Historically there are about 15000 floating fans that drift between us Fester and the Sheep.
Get the footy right on the field and stay in the Premiership and we will fill a 40k+ stadium.
We have a greater appeal outside of the East Midlands than the little railway shed and crisp factory!
