I see Gayle has been charged with "deceiving a referee" or simulation. Not sure of likely suspension but hope he gets a long rest to set an example!

Here's what I don't understand in the rules, if he's been found guilty of deceiving the ref (diving) then it wasn't a pen, if it wasn't a pen, they wouldn't have scored. So why does the goal not get taken away? Diving will never get taken out of football until there's real consequences.

That is my grip too GazzaRed. Why are we still punished for what turned out to be recognised by the FA as a blatant cheating offence? It's times like these when the deceitful act has favoured the result of a team (ie, they win the game or as in our case, they get a draw) that the FA should strip away the goal, and if that means that the affected team wins / draws then they should be awarded the points and the opposition stripped of any. There's no point in banning a player as they've still 'won'.

If he gets fined the club will probably just pay it and give him a pat on the back for earning them a point!

Yep. it give out the wrong signals; cheat and you'll get a slap on the wrist, but you'll get to keep your points. I Tweeted the FA and heard no reply, about exactly the points raised here. We were screwed over, were the rightful winners in this case, but still end up losing.
