So the birmingham mail and the nottingham post are saying villa are preparing a 10 million pound bid for lolley. i'm sorry but if this is true villa are taking liberties i wouldn't be selling for no less than 20 million as he's contracted till 2023 i think we all new this was coming. but if we have any ambition to go up next season we shouldn't sell easier said than done i know with him being a villa fan but i remember a few months ago he said he doesn't want to leave he wants to be hear and he loves the club let's hope he stands by that and he don't push for a move because he will be hard to replace.

Sorry to say but that contract means nothing especially if lolley wants to go.would you wait if you was in lolleys position?more money boyhood club prem football for at least one season or stay here with us lumping it up to murphy?
I know which i would do

If they are looking to offer that they are just testing the water and seeing what the clubs response is to it is.

If Villa come in for him he'll be gone. It means nothing what he said about wanting to stay. Signing a long term contract was just for the inevitable pay increase. £10 million will see a big profit on what we paid for him 18 months ago so we'll probably accept it if the player expresses an interest in moving to Villa.

Suttonred85 i'm fully aware the contract means nothing what i was saying was because he's contracted till 2023 we should not sell for 10 million should be more like 15-20 million

A bid of 12m to 13m and he’ll be off.

Even tho he is our player villa hold all the cards they are in the prem, they are his boyhood club who he supports and his family also support them.all they have to do is offer 10m and sit back and wait for lolley and his agent to get the move done.we will struggle to get more than 10m cash but they may throw in a player with it.

The AV owners have greater ambitions than signing Championship players for next season.

Lolley would not be first choice so I think this is just tittle tattle like our fans wanting us to sign Direby players?

Everybody knows how much money Villa will get for promotion and Lolley just signed long term contract.
Not saying he won’t go but in terms of a fee I’d say we are holding all the cards. That’s assuming he doesn’t have a selling clause in his contract like Britt with a set price.

Anything close to £20mil and I'd let him go.

Excellent player at Championship level, although his form got patchy towards the end of the season. £20mil could be spent elsewhere to strengthen the squad.

Hows that perks if he wants to go he will tell the club regardless of the fee.clubs have no hold over players nowdays.

I'd luv him to stay but as always money talks If 15 million comes in for him that's a nice amount to reinvest in the squad. As a championship club we can't be surprised to see our best players want top flight football and triple the pay, in today's greedy world of football who could blame him. I'm not even hoping he'll stay been there too many times, we've been a selling club since Cloughie days and we always move on. Bohinen, Roy, Collymore, Antonio, Darlow, Lacelles, Antonio plus all the great players Cloughie had to sell the list goes on. The only difference until recently is selling players seemed to just balance the books let's hope that's all changed now
