It has been said Huddersfields Tommy Smith is a £2-5m consideration for Stoke would he be a improvement on what we have.

Lc I'm not interested in signing defenders barring a left back,we need pace and goals from midfield and we won't spend 2.5 million.
It will be freebies and loans.

Fff, I agree we need a left back, but £2-5m for a player is not too much for the club, if he is better than what we have, which is what i asked then at that price we should try.

We need pace all over the pitch, but yes we need goals to come from midfield aswell as from our forwards.

Im not saying it will happen, just there is a possibility that we might spend £7m or so on one quality player, and £2m, or £3m on another if they are better than we have.

I don’t think we can spend much because of FFP. Spent £20m last season and didn’t get huge amounts of money back. Can’t remember the season before but we aren’t allowed to spend more than £39m (net) over three seasons.
