After a poor showing against Oylmpicas the team looked transformed last night, i think the second half where Palace came more into the game was down to the players tiring.

So often in the past we have had managers say we must improve after a defeat, but then be full of praise when we have won, but after having had a quick look at Sabri's interview he does give some praise but still admitted improvements need to be made.

I found that refreshing, he said the under 23's will be playing against Mansfield while he gets to drill the team to get them use to what he wants even more, so Sabri is not letting a win paper over the cracks when being interviewed.

I know it does not make him the best thing since sliced bread but his attitude is clearly spot on, and with some of the football played last night he seems to have the players ears, as they are taking in what he tells them.

I just hope that the players keep improving and that when the season starts we can have the grit as well as some swagger to the way we play.

Absolutely much improved. Great to see 2 actual naturally gifted wide players in Adomah and Lolley to add balance to the team. My concern remains the same however, last season we should have come out of some games having scored 3,4, 5 goals maybe but could only muster 1, or even none. For me we still need a striker with killer instinct. I'm not saying dwight Gayle, but someone similar would be perfect.

I agree that we need a quality striker, to be honest we really two of them but the truth is that he, or they will be either loaned or a freebie.

If one, or both are loaned that means there will be plenty of interest in them, so they will take an age to decide because they will keep pitting one against the others to get the best deal.

If they are freebies the clubs wanting them will try to negotiate the best they can to try and put different clauses in their contracts to negate the very reason, or reasons they are free agents in the first place.
