Can't wait for the season to start, all the issues and problems could be left outside the ground, it's football time . Let's escape into our own world and hope for greater things on the pitch . Is this the time .

In a word, No. Not unless we invest in some more PROVEN fire power. You still look at the team and wonder where the goals required to get out of this league are going to come from. Lolley, 10 goals. Adomah, 8 goals. Grabban 15 goals. Reasonable predictions I'd say. So that's 32 goals. Where are the other 50 goals coming from? To get out of this league you need another striker who can bag you another 20 goals at least. i'm not being doom and gloom, it's just fact, so unless forest add that in the next couple of weeks, we will not score the goals required.

Redfreddie. We have released the forwards we had because they were injury prone, too old, disruptive or crap. Some of them a combination of two or more.
So i really hope you are right pal and we see at least two new proven strikers.

Gazz, The cost of strikers now a days any strikers we bring in will either be getting on, have a history of being injured on a fairly regular basis, if not for long periods, or taking a punt on a loan player.

Proven strikers that do not fall into at least one of those categories is just a pipe dream.

Pipe dream or not LC. If we get rid of 5 deadwoods, it would leave a generous sum to invest. We should have learnt our lesson by now. The past few strikers we have signed have been woeful for the exact reasons you have stated.
If we are really serious we MUST sign a genuine proven goalscorer.

Getting rid of deadwood doesn't leave anything to invest it just frees up wages as they will leave on a free still need the 10 to 15 mill spend on a striker and it looks like we just don't have it.

The problem is attracting a 15 million striker to come to the Championship when players of that ilk are looking at either moving to premier league or staying there.
