Everything I was worried about has come to fruition, rookie manager
Rookie goalkeeper
No right back
Nothing up front to change it.
Tough season ahead.

Villa did not come good untill late in the season, the transfer
Window is still open.

We had a cracking start to the season under Pearce, where that get us.

Do not press the panic button just yet.

Stevie f, Where did i say we would win the league, or be in the play offs.

I was just trying to point out just because you have a bad start your season is not over, or if you start well success is not certain.

Pearce would have done well but ran into the same problem that Karanka and O'Neil did - the Owner. Players undermining their manager by tittle tattle tell tales to the owner. LC I'm afraid the signs are all there but you are not reading them. If Sabri cannot pull it off with the average bunch of players he has been given, he'll be gone in six months.

No need for us to be in this position, don’t blame the manager blame DOF - no idea about English football. Did anyone really expect more from the unknowns and never will be knowns? Oh sorry I forgot they looked like world beaters in last weeks stroll around the park didn’t they? Thankfully they old fossil is back in the museum With the rest of football relics isn’t he!

The reason villa didn't come good was because of injuries to key players.
Lamouchi won't last till xmas and I take no pleasure in saying so,
Watson, worrall and dawson with his injury problems weren't good enough last season, so you can't move forward by going back to those same players.
Silva is a poor mans carvalho and semedo has the spirit and athleticism to do well, but fitness took its toll.
Olly will prove to be no better than Walker, while the likes of Leeds are going out to get Gayle.
Said it so many times you get what you pay for and we keep buying monkeys.
I really hope that things will be turned around but can't see it.
You can all berate me as much as you like, but I comment on what I see.

Agree 2 star it’s ok supposedly having brilliant young talented benfica b team players but when it comes down to it they need years of being in this league you only after look at Luton last night no fear players from lower leagues that have played together for a couple of seasons make us look like a lower championship club or the so called bread man given time will get qpr up fed up with being a benfica b squad are we forest or are we olympiakos reserve team looked crap tonight lolley will be gone by deadline.

Bsered, You make some valid points, but come on Pearce made the mistake of putting his faith in players that were renowned for being injury prone and it took a chunk out of his backside.

As for gone in six months if we are not doing well enough that is par for the course, what is now 37 managers since BC retired.

Skeg, like I said before we’ve tried this daft experiment over and over - it never works . O Neil wanted the players some of us know will compete in this league, of course that was dinosaur football though wasn’t it so we’ve changed to something more progressive and once the manager and the players get used to the championship it will all be well - just be patient.

If only we could educate the Greeks on how football works in England.
First you sign the right manager
Then you trust him to bring in the right players
Then you give him time to carry out his task.

03 Aug 2019 21:05:14
I think you are little confused, that may be the right way to success, but just how many English clubs actually do that.?

13.) 03 Aug 2019
03 Aug 2019 21:05:36
Exactly the model O Neil would have pursued, get with the times FF, that’s a Jurassic outlook and is no way to get results in the modern game.

14.) 03 Aug 2019
03 Aug 2019 21:28:39
2star. what is the modern way to win games?
We need our main forward to get his head out of his backside for starters and our so DoF to get in a Proven striker and a couple of defenders! 👍.

Well it’s not what was on offer today Fawaz. The manager coaches the players blame him if the players looked clueless.

16.) 03 Aug 2019
03 Aug 2019 21:40:13
It's not his fault fawaz, he's a goal poacher, not his game,
There is no answer to what this dof sees as his vision.

2 sar you have no idea what your coming back to
, its shambolic.
Oniel was a winner, Lamouchi is a puppet that will fail, prefer a dinosaur to a laugh a minute.

I think I can surmise it mate, we’ve been here before haven’t we? BTW great post about lack of direction as well, the lack of it is becoming terrifying. It’ll be back to club legend in the form of Nigel Clough by Xmas as we slide down the table!

Roy speaking

Roy it’s Martin, they’ve rejected our list of targets, DOF says it’s at odds with the preferred footballing philosophy . They’ve come up with an alternative list of no hopers from abroad .

Sorry Martin, love ya to bits but I’m off, I only came to this circus out of respect for you, it never felt right, they’re selling us out. I’m done, So I am.
