We all know in a ideal world we would have gotten another striker in before the transfer market closed, but instead of having Dawson pumping long passes to Lonley Grabben, and having the players to work in unison and having the three forward players interchange passes, therefore working chances for one another we could do well enough, let's face it we have loads of midfield players to cover for injury and bans.

Theres no ideal world about it strikers win you games and titles fact and if grab one can't be arsed or gets injured we will be in trouble.

Skegs, yes a good striker wins you games, but if the person in charge of the players does not play to their strengths the best players will fail.

He was dropping 20yards back on Saturday to get a touch of the ball and that’s him not being bothered? people want him to sun about but if he’s running here there and everywhere who’s up top to score.

I agree that we need another option up front but even if we had signed a striker the pattern of the game against Leeds would have been the same. While ever we persevere with thumping long balls down the pitch as soon as we get possession nothing will change. Only Semedo, who looks a good player, showed any composure and tried to find a red shirt with the ball. We're all delighted with a point at Leeds but some of the comments on here make me think I must have watched a different game. We got lucky in reality. If Leeds had picked a better ball in the last third or if they had a decent striker we could have been well beaten. A defeat doesn't always mean you've played poorly and likewise a good result doesn't always mean you played well. Early days but I'm yet to see this pacy passing game SL allegedly likes to play.

Grabban is not adapted to playing a lone striker role. Likes scoring goals inside the box but too reliant on somebody else to set him up. Cut off his supply and he is neutralised. Is Lamouchi going to try him upfront with Mir?! Might work.

Wat would the worlds best strikers of done for us on Saturday? grabban had one chance and scored it, dropped deep to get a touch of the ball, later it off well showed some skill won the ball bk when he lost it. but still gets rapped for that.

How many goals would Grabban have scored if he had better link up play from the midfield.
