Such negativity seen all three games so far, i agree we are missing a creative spark but think Joao will provide that when he is fit again,

Like Ameobi and think Mir will be a threat when fully match fit. Samba looks a good keeper and Semedo and Sow won't be bullied in midfield.

Looking forward to seeing Rodreguez
playing along side Figeredos and both Riberio and Jenkinson look good playersCOYR.

Yes your right munmad they could be a good bunch and in a season or 2 could be a very good side but it's going to take time and I know I keep harping on about a unknown manager but I'd give him 2 seasons cause that's what this club needs but I guarantee I'm wasting my breath there's no point in getting excited about players or managers because come xmas if we're in the bottom half they will be gone fact I don't know how the owner can put someone in charge of a all together new team of freebies loans and bargain basement buys and expect miracles in one season and this happens time and time again no lessons learnt there is no quick fix to the Premier league our team is proof so if all else fails this season and we're in bottom half all season then please just keep the same manager for next season so we can build a team.

So what you’re saying is we might improve and give it time?

The owner is expecting that we have an immediate improvement on how we ended the season. We have barley created any chances let alone any creative spark. Very worried but hoping that those worries will be alleviated tomorrow.

Munmad7980 think you’ll find long term ribeiro isn't up to it,

4.) 16 Aug 2019
16 Aug 2019 11:34:25
This is why 2 star we as fans are banging our heads against a brick wall why put a unknown manager fill it full of loanees and players that need time to adapt to this league if the big man wants instant success because if were not up there come xmas he will be gone so any ideas anybody lol 🤔😨😨.

5.) 16 Aug 2019

Stevie glad to see you aren't writing off players already. Ribeiro's played one game where he has been decent but in your wisdom you say he's not up to it. How about give him a chance.

One player MUNMAD has missed out is Bostock. Who I think is the only player with creative ability on level with Carvs in the whole team. can't wait to see them play together.

6.) 16 Aug 2019
16 Aug 2019 13:00:23
Redtree no actually I said ‘ long term I don’t think he’ll be up to it ‘did some strange things v fleetwood, I may well be proven wrong just my opinion,

7.) 16 Aug 2019
16 Aug 2019 13:07:27
Red tree and another thing carvallho seems to have been elevated to some sort of mythical status since he’s been injured, he must have played around 30 games last season and hardly set the division alight, nobody outside this club mentions him, no big clubs banging on the door, the happy clappers are clutching at straws with this bloke, the honest truth is for 13mill he’s been a real disappointment so far,

8.) 16 Aug 2019

Given that our opening two fixtures were against the so called promotion favourites it was pretty obvious that the new coach was going to go with the experienced Championship players rather than blooding newbies whilst he found his feet.

Lamouchi seems to have grasped what is required quickly and having identified the gaps in the squad will introduce Jenkinson, Rodriguez, Riberio, Sow and Bostock as regulars in the coming weeks.

I'd prefer to see us playing 3 at the back with the squad we have which will help support GrabOne and play higher up the pitch using Cash's pace as wing back.

Steady start and I expect us to be in the top 10 after 10 games which will not stop the Foremoaning but hey ho! the season is 46 games and hopefully EM/ DoF do not shoot themselves in the foot again during the season?

9.) 16 Aug 2019
16 Aug 2019 15:35:04
So I’ll give my response again. The owner changed because he believes this man will have us in the top six throughout the season with a more progressive brand of entertaining football. No amount of foremoaning or happy clapping will influence whether he feels he’s got what he set out to get. It really is that simple.

16 Aug 2019 15:37:00
Carvs the demigod but he wears Nike boots.

11.) 16 Aug 2019
16 Aug 2019 18:51:43
Mythical status? by saying he is our most creative player. Another player you're writing off then? Olympiacos wanted him. I see plenty of fans mention him. Maybe the moaning blinkers are on again haha!

12.) 16 Aug 2019
16 Aug 2019 18:52:52
Why do people on here keep banging on that we should have hired a well known manager?
I for one find it amusing that the same circle of managers in English football get hired then sacked then move on to another club and get sacked and so the circle of the same old faces continues.
Fresh new faces is the way forward.

We have had our fair share of well known faces as managers and we have won nowt.

13.) 16 Aug 2019
16 Aug 2019 19:18:58
I agree the performances are looking well progressive.

14.) 16 Aug 2019
16 Aug 2019 19:20:43
Olympiacos is the only place we could have despatched him too in order to recoup some money for him. He isn’t worth anywhere near 13 million. We’ve been conned .

15.) 16 Aug 2019
16 Aug 2019 19:28:54
We have won or got nowhere because we don't stick with managers trent and I'm sure you and redtree will be the first to want him out if he starts losing a few anyway just my opinion carry on with your happy clapping and I will carry on with a few Stella's cheers lads 👏👏👏🍻🍻.

16.) 16 Aug 2019
16 Aug 2019 19:53:49
Redtree are you serious? Olympiacos wanted him lol? These days that’s an admission nobody else really wants you, carvallho didn’t cut it last season and if as you say he’s our most creative player we aren’t in for a very successful season, if that opinion is called moaning I don’t really give a toss, like everyone else on here I love this club and if I see things I believe aren’t right I will give my opinion, carvallho overrated, rebeiro, won’t cut it in England, just my opinion.

17.) 16 Aug 2019
16 Aug 2019 20:28:14
It is called moaning Stevie. Maybe you should run the club I bet you could make a success of it. Writing of players before they’re anywhere near their prime. especially when they’re new to the league. Carvs didn’t cut it last season but got similar stats to Jack Grealish who spurs wanted to sign. Skegs sacking managers is getting us nowhere I hope this guy gets 3 transfer windows at least to sort the squad.

18.) 16 Aug 2019
16 Aug 2019 21:04:32
Redtree now you’re comparing carvallho to grealish? probably the best player in the championship last year, it’s interesting that spurs never came in for carvallho when they couldn’t get grealish, lol maybe because they’ve never heard of him, as for stats you can stick them where the sun don’t shine, only stat that matters is on the scoreboard,

19.) 16 Aug 2019
16 Aug 2019 21:25:41
Think Carvallho will be a better player this season having had a season to adjust to the Championship way of playing . always liked 3 at the back as it gives us 5 in midfield, problem with that formation is you have to have wide players who are willing to graft . One point to make, and i may be wrong, did not MON land on that formation prior to being sacked and it was called dinosaur football?

20.) 16 Aug 2019
16 Aug 2019 21:33:34
Stevie I watched every game Carvalho played in last season and apart from Lolleys wonder runs, everything good came through Carvs. I am comparing Carvs to Grealish they got similar stats and play in a similar position. I am not saying he’s better. You are the one saying he didn’t cut it! I am saying Carvs is a good player at this level and can become even better. Having a hand in 12 goals is good for a young players first season.

21.) 16 Aug 2019
16 Aug 2019 21:38:51
He won’t get three transfer windows . If he needs that many why bring him in.

22.) 16 Aug 2019
16 Aug 2019 21:45:55
Redtree I watched most, not all myself, did you get the stat for how many times away from home he gave the ball away and dropped us in the crap? Comparing him to grealish is ludicrous., for a 13 Milton pound player in the championship he goes missing too many games,

23.) 16 Aug 2019
16 Aug 2019 21:55:07
always makes me laugh when posters on here say they have never heard of a player or manager so they must be crap.
Your not in the professional football industry so you will not hear of all players across UK and Europe and what they bring to a team.

As for wanting the manager sacked after a few games …. never
I will always support the club from manager through to the players to the staff because I love the club and in most cases they are trying their best though don't always get the success we crave.

24.) 16 Aug 2019
16 Aug 2019 22:00:31
It’s not ludicrous if you watch Grealish and listen to comments he gets the same things said about him. In that position you’re more likely to give the ball away that’s part of trying to be creative. I can’t think of time he dropped us in the crap like for example Dias did. He’s not a 13 million pound player yet.

25.) 16 Aug 2019
16 Aug 2019 22:14:01
Redtree grealish was the pivotal and central to the game everytime he played for villa, carvallho disappears too often, non comparable.

26.) 16 Aug 2019
16 Aug 2019 22:18:11
Carvs was pivotal and central to us too!

27.) 16 Aug 2019
16 Aug 2019 22:31:04
Redtree yep there lies the difference they got promoted we didn’t,

28.) 16 Aug 2019
16 Aug 2019 23:02:48
Because they have a better team than us. It’s not rocket science.

29.) 16 Aug 2019
16 Aug 2019 23:30:33
And a much better playmaker, ours bearing no comparison, that’s not rocket science either.

30.) 16 Aug 2019
16 Aug 2019 23:52:33
Better playmaker but made less assists in the league.

31.) 17 Aug 2019
17 Aug 2019 00:36:58
Well you stick with your worthless futile stats it’s well known stats can be adjusted to suit most arguments,

32.) 17 Aug 2019
17 Aug 2019 08:03:47
Think the Carvalho connundrum is a red herring. We won't get enough goals with Grabban and Mir as our only lone strikers. I think it might be worth trying two upfront but not sure Lamouchi will.
