I think we have to remember this is the best season ( to date ) we have had for a long time. Why? A good manager? A more settled team? . The support the team gets from its fans home and especially away is amazing. So what is going wrong? As fans we only want to see the Reds do well and be entertained! The manager did not seem to be able to motivate his players last night in front of 28,000 with the play offs to secure. That's a major worry has he been told already its the promotion / playoffs or your out by big M? Most on this site would not have picked Semedo last night - he has never impressed, so why was he playing? Diakhaby how was he scouted? Carvalhio however had his best game - now that is not saying he was great last night only that he played better than usual so gave me some hope - at last. I have seen Forest play an aggressive chasing game like Millwall did but it wasn't there . Big M will give SL his cards I suspect and he knows it so maybe he is no longer motivated either and this rubs off on the players. I am not being negative but there is a match against our neighbours soon . A drubbing there preceded by two further poor matches and that will be it. A sad day for the club.

This season is indeed a pretty decent one, but we really need to address a few issues, players wise.

Samedo showed last night that he is nowhere near the quality we need. Last night he was woeful with virtually every touch of the ball.
Carvalho continues to irritate with his inconsistency (he will be gone in the summer) .
Worrall, for all his worth, is as quick as a turning oil tanker.
Lolley has lost it somewhere and needs to find it again PDQ.
Cash - one of our best players all season - was awful last night.
Brice Samba looked lost for all those goals.
Ameobi was like watching Bambi on ice last night, as every time he ran with the ball he tripped up over his own legs.

Defending was simply shambolic; there is no way when having three defenders around Matt Smith that Smith should be getting to the ball first. Awful.

Bostock was the only player able to hold his head up high after that game; at least he had the balls to pop a couple of shots at their keeper.

Fitness wise, we were always second to the 50-50 balls, and looked at least two feet behind the Millwall players.
Passing wise, we were trying for the superstar-killer pass way too often when the simple pass would have been better.

All in all it was awful.

Docm. Carvalho has no pace to recover, his suicide passing gives posession away when we are pressing like the first goal lastnight. He is a luxury we cannot afford. Its going wrong because lamouchi is naive, does not learn and his luck runs out. We got lucky at albion with their last kick goal. We desperately needed fire power in Jan what we got was garbage that has weakened us further. Make no mistake we have been given the top six on a plate but just keep blowing every opportunity.

That's the annoying thing Rutland my mate handed on a plate with a team still learning might not get a better chance. At the moment we are like a Greek wedding we have been handed so many plates but we have just smashed them on the floor.

2 games in 5 days go within 3 points of the dirty chance blown l beat Leeds Charlton at home go ahead of Leeds, QPR chances at goal thrown away, Birmingham ect. Yes you won't win them all but i said earlier just a few of those dropped points would make a big difference.

I was there in the Trent End but reviewing the goals you can see the errors sadly . Why was Watson, then Semedo where Cash should have been ie preventing the cross . Fig. Should have stopped the cross reaching Smith. The second goal was a deflection. The third Samba is on his line - so why is he not going for the ball? Millwall somehow made our defence look useless. Neither Watson or Semedo are full backs and were both trounced. Bring in Benaloune for Fig in my opinion, Bostock played quite well and so did Ribeiro. My point re Carvalhio is that all of us want him to be a game changer as a number 10. There is no one else. Players like Grabban need to anticipate his pass. Grabban and Lolleys shoulders were down last night, not a good sign.

Worrall was worse than figs, they get more latitude to fail if they’re one of our own though don’t they.

2 Star I am not certain that’s true especially with an overseas manager. The result today with Wednesday loosing heavily implies nothing I guess but I can only hope like all of us .
