If you think over the last few years the players that have had any value to us have come through the academy. Money in from brereton and burke and the young lad last year aphia? .
The players that have played regularly and been most consistant have come through the academy. Lewis being an astute purchase. My point is they are all british. Some on here rave about brice samba. Still flawed on crosses and is casual and flat footed. Sow is braindead and always injured. I am not saying we should field a team of youngsters but if you look st their contribution and stock value then its patently obvious even to stevie wonder that our scouting or dof is failing and failing spectacularly. We have wasted the money from selling players and continue to squander valuable funds on a recruitment policy of miserable failure year on year. Any analysis would hightlight this catastrophy. I really do despair at the repetion of mistakes at such a high level. I don't like marinakis or his ilke, bullies and tyrants and full of bs. No wonder controvesy and doubt follow him like a bad smell. To repeat a mistake is folly to do it continuously is beyond careless and massive stupidity.

It’s difficult to argue with that .
Is diakhby better than Mighten of appiah?
Have all the failed strikers done any better than Brereton? All we’ve done is sold players to sign the biggest load of garbage ever .

Diakhby, Silva, Semedo, da Costa, bong, bostock all dreadful signings .

Silva and Bostock have ability, and Bostock not used properly at all.

You see 2star if one is serious about promotion you narrow the odds by making good decisions. Good manager, warnock. Back him and his judgement. You can buy success but its best to follow a successful template and not keep going down a dead end road. Marinakis nearly made a good decision in oneil but bottled it because martin wanted to make good decisions in line with the remit handed him. I don't think this bunch of clowns are actually serious about progressing the club. Something stinks and and why marinakis bought the club is bewildering. For with his supposed wealth getting the job done should be a lot more convincing and developed than it currently sits right now.

Good Points Rutland.
But Lamouchi is a coach and not a manager so the Players are chosen by a bunch of clowns.
This animgo character doesn't know his backside from his elbow.
The vast majority of transfers have been a joke.
Direakby is useless Costa another headless chicken and bong a waste of time.
Marinakis won't learn by expecting a bunch of imports to fill places when proven quality players are needed.
No doubt forest will be scraping the barrel when it comes to transfers.
He will roll the dice and play forest like a roulette wheel gambling on players.
To say he's an astute business with a rather successful greek football team he has no clue when it comes to Forest.
How long will he tolerate failure before he gets bored sells up by not achieving his ultimate goal?

Agreed fawaz. When you have money and lots if it then good decisions are easy to make. When you are poor every decision you make and every penny you spend is crucial. So how can markinakis get it so wrong so easily? Please do not compare running a greek football club on the back of being a shipping magnate to doing business in this football world. You cannot buy minds. I am so confused with the cheap market he shops in and questionable agents he associates with. Their is a LIE going on trentside and our great club should be treated with more respect, its herritage is above these conmen from abroad.

Rutland, I’d have offered an alternative view this time last year, not anymore, we’re being ran by a bunch of imposters again, sad but true .

Bs, I don’t know enough about Bostock but plenty say he’s decent, so who’s to blame for another decent footballer coming here and being sidelined, it’s a regular occurrence.

Regarding silva, sorry matey, I can’t see your point of view on this one . He’s complete garbage and I can’t take to a midfielder who’s set pieces fail to beat the first man 90% of the time, can’t run and can’t tackle . Osborn could have played that role far more effectively, I just don’t get why he was signed at all.

4 times I chucked the towel in at home before film time because I simply could not bear watching silva waste any more dead balls in a game . He’s rubbish mate .

2star: I've always felt his dead ball skills were poor except for one free kick, but the lad had a good turn and could pass well at times; asking the smallest bloke in the side to be a defensive midfielder as well was asking too much of him.

For sure, I know it sounds like I’m knocking the player but I’m more knocking the club for selling Osborn, a player well equipped for the championship and giving us silva, Semedo and bostock in return. I’ve lost a chunk of faith in the project this last 12 months .

Its called asset stripping. You only sell if you are looking to replace with better. This shower sell a development player as soon as he becomes of value. They then bring in 2 or 3 freebies from outer mongolia.

That stinks of a network of agents that need feeding. This club is just ticking over with no vision or real plan, maybe hoping for a bit of luck, which nearly came our way.

My opinion will change if they resist the cash for worral, cash, lolley etc, clear out the garbbage and bring in some seasoned pros from our neck of the woods. I won't hold my breath.

Rutland Marinakis is a ruthless corrupt Business man.
He talks the talk but doesn't deliver.
He will get bored and will run the club and what little reputation it has left to the ground
How he passed the test to become an owner of a football club is beyond me?
Don't expect any exciting additions but 5 goal superstars from a Greek 2nd division.

2 Star: I feel exactly the same as you and also about Benny, but I'm pleased he's doing so well in the Premiership as we both knew he would, he was the best all-round player in the Club.
Unfortunately ownership and management of the Club are a lottery, just a matter of luck, and we haven't had any, Marinakis has proved little better than Al Hasawi, and I feel that both of them wanted to pick the team and pick its players, and have made a mess of picking DoF and Manager.
I have little confidence that next season will be any better, but feel throughout the last one we suffered constant bad luck with injuries, poor referees and inadequate management and tactics.
