I seriously hope we don't change the manager . CH has very good credentials and does not become a bad manager overnight . We must believe that he sees the players in training week in week out and picks the best side. So maybe he sees more overall weaknesses in Smith as a Goal keeper than Samba? He also must have staff looking at ALL the on loan players. Johnson, and Walker both had opportunities under SL but did not impress . Now of course they may improve in time. However that is what the under 23 team is for . The under 23 coach recommended Swan, so he is on the bench and trains with the first team. His chance maybe slight to impress but that's it. This is a professional club, the inner workings of which we patently do not understand. This site is fun because all of us can guess the next step - and express our feelings. In the end it is how a manager can motivate his Group of players for a game such as Vs Norwich . That's what he is payed to do, to get this team playing in tune.

I'd call myself a passive Rugby fan, however what Rob Burrows has achieved is beyond incredible, what a loyal friend he is to his pal who has Motor Nueron Disease, SEVEN MARATHONS in 7 days. He originally hoped to raise 77,0000 pounds. now it's over 1.8 Million!
Well bloody done Sir!

I agree with you, he should be given time, just as the Qatar one was given about a term.

Pre him joining i was hoping for Howe or someone with his thinking in how to get the players to play but with his track record i felt at the time Forest got the best available.

The only reason the Qatar one got the length of time he did was because of the position Forest were in under him, not for the football on show.

At the moment both the football, and league position is dire, as far the football is concerned everyone knew what he would bring to Forest but because the league position is what it is some want rid, and i understand that.

The record he has though means he should be given at least the same amount of time as the Qatar one.

I just hope if he lasts through Jan the teams results improve fast enough for him to be kept till at least terms end.

If the team strings some wins together and start believing in what what he wants i can still see the team being near the play offs.

If we stick with him we will bottom of league for xmas and even more players won't change the lack of team spirit and confidence.
Near the playoffs is total fantasy.

Have you been watching the same games as me get forward? can't score a goal. Best we can scramble is a bore draw. Any signings in January will just be to keep us safe if anything.

I can not understand your thinking.

He has not been in the job long.

Recently you said you wanted to keep Warburton, Warburton had Forest ninth but had Forest losing for fun and with in about five weeks Forest would have been in the bottom three.

Yet you wanted to keep him? So why are you so keen to get rid now?

Consistently of having the same person in charge is the key to success, the bloke unlike The Qatar one, and The Spanish one has got more than one team promoted.

You would be surprised by what five or six wins on the trot would do.

If you look at Chris career as a manager, he is generally a defensive minded manager. I know some will point to the goals scored when at Brighton, but I would say that was more of a by product of his plan. We are crying out for creativity and goal scorers. Even if Chris brings those players in, you can still expect to see a defensive approach, with the hope of then scoring goals. I do rate Chris, but think we have got him at the wrong time, which is a typical thing for us.

I think we have short memories that are clouded by league position. Last season we played an awful lot of dross but up until the March break our league position masked the shortcomings of the players and the sit back and counter tactics. Some of the games we won were more by luck than quality and once that luck ran out we saw the outcome at the end of last season. We now have a new manager with a squad assembled to play eaxctly the same way as last year by the previous manager. However one of the key attacking elements last year was Cash who has left the club. Lolley is so out of touch he should be in the Under 23's for a few weeks to try and find his mojo. Knockeart likewise and Ameobi his usual inconstent self. Freeman hasn't worked at all. So here we are with a squad built to play counter attacking football with nobody able to deliver anymore. It's not CH fault the goals have dried up there is no one to provide the chances. We desparately need the attacking players to rediscover their form and then we might see improved results. But please don't try and tell me that last season was perfect because it was far from it and the new manager has a lot of work on his hands to turn this round and I don't think playing relatively inexperienced youngsters is the answer.

The reason i wanted to keep warburton was because of the open letter expressing a desire for stability.
Well marinakis soon put an end to stability and has done fver since.
So whý should i not want a change a manager?
Had boring karanka sabri and now hughton, oniel did ok to steady the ship and was then unseramoniualiy sacked for doing a far better job.
Time to bring in a younger more forward thinking coach.
Even good teams struggle to put five or six wins together and i can't see where one is coming from never mind that amount.
