Ok not pretty last night and everyone wants the Champagne football. Reading lots of comments about CH tactics but at the end of the day apart from Boro we have put points on the board. The fullbacks get slated every game because the can’t defend, Figs gets hammered for being poor. Maybe this is why we set up the way we do to try and protect them. Anyway it’s not pretty and I would love to see some attractive free flowing football but would it cost us being exposed at the back?

I do not get your thinking, if you are on the front foot your defence have less to do.

When the team is set up to try and contain a team the defence has more to do.

Whichever way a coach sets up his team he has to have them organised.

Dont think we are asking for a champagne football just 90 mins of trying to go forward would do.
We don't go forward till we are a goal down and once we are winning we put every player in our own half.
Terrible tactic that will have consequences.
Got away with it last night but we won't keep getting away with it.
Most teams would have finished Coventry off after that og, but not hughton.
Thats why i see us going no where under him and then you have to ask, will fans want to splash out cash to watch it when fans are allowed back?
The subs made no sense how can freeman be even on the bench ahead of mighten never mind get on the pitch.
Knockheart and murray never received a ball last 30 mins and bong stayed on while getting slaughtered.
One shot on target?
We won't win games two one very often .
The points were the big plus but it is dire.

My thinking is Get Forward, if we push more bodies forward and play breaks down which it regularly does, we would be wide open especially with our poor fullbacks who can’t defend. It’s damage limitation tactics. Can you honestly say you would like more free flowing football and go down like some do. CH is getting points on the board and atm that’s all that matters to me.

Berserker as you know football is about opinions and i take your point but i will make three points to you, first if a coach does his job properly he would have the team organised so the team moves up the pitch with intent to put the other team on the back foot, at the same time he has to organise the team to the point that every player knows his job so when the other team comes at them they know what they are doing.

Second, if a coach sets up the team the way it gets set up and still concedes so often it is more than the defence that is the problem.

When a defence is seventy percent of the time is having the other team coming at them they are more likely to make mistakes than a defence that only has the other team coming at them thirty percent of the time.

We played attacking football for a 5 minute period in the game last night, immediately after Cov scored their goal. In that 5 minutes we scored a goal and Cov looked outclassed.

I mentioned that earlier GazzaRed, the trouble is it only happens once Forest go behind and off course the team were then tokd to revert back to type once they go Coventry to put Forest in front. Why? 😡 😡.

Spent the last half an hour or more sitting back and under a constant barrage. Terrible tactics and even more terrible to watch. Waiting for the inevitable late goal is not entertaining in my opinion.
