I posted yesterday questioning the money and the negativity surrounding this sort of deal. But looked at in a fantasy angle it is hugely positive investment if it happens. Like many wise people on here state no purchase price so that saving slurped around signing on fees softens the blow and as mentioned, it's the modern game with modern prices. So from that perspective it makes sense.
If lingard signs it will give a huge boost to the team going into the big step up and fills a position with probably one of the best out there, and cooper could just be the man to get the best out of him and handle the situation for the betterment of the team and supporters.
