Some on here saying that cooper and Murphy are the best since clough and Taylor. that's high praise indeed but totally without substance. Refreshing yes and certainly a unifying partnership. But not tested yet only been at it less than a year. Frank Clarke did a superb job in re galvanising the club getting Forest promoted at the first time of asking and taking us to third in the prem in that first season. The acquisitions and development of youth was fantastic, some of the youth went on to great things. The test will come in the heat of the battle where the premiership takes no prisoners, no time for sentiment and totally unforgiving in weakness. how the duo react in adversity and expectancy will put them up for comparison but not yet.

Rutters I’m not disrespecting what frank Clark did for Nottingham Forest Fc, it was an amazing season with Roy and van hoojdonk getting the goals and finishing 3rd although the following season was a let down especially when Bayern Munich ran riot, I just think cooper and Murphy have done the impossible for Forest taking us from bottom of the championship to playoff finalists in 7 months and getting us promoted takes some doing……. I believe cooper and Murphy will no doubt surpass what frank Clark did although it might take a little more time as cooper and Murphy have had to replace half of the squad and it’s the first time back in the premiership for 23 years, so a more difficult season awaits cooper than it did Clark.
But I’m confident that cooper and Murphy can achieve great things at Forest.

'following season was a let down' we did finish 8th and reach the Uefa Cup quarter finals. Not too bad me thinks.

Think there is plenty more work to be done in transfer market if we are to get close to emulating Frank Clark's season back in the PL. Ou est Mangala?

A big test still to come of course, but taking a team from rock bottom after 7 games to promotion in your first season is a test of the highest order I would think.

Test/ nigh on impossible I would have said.

Well said all of ya. And remember it wasnt just frank clark the manager but the player as well. Masterstroke bringing brian roy in alongside collymore (who i seen many times in them days, as my ex who I've got my youngest with) also loved the city ground. Said on here a while ago stayed at my mates dad's house in derby. Many times. Daft sod got into a fight in wales. Beat the two lads but didn't have his inhaler. Hard lad biggest hands I've ever seen. Brings a tear looking back. This club carries many memories for me from long ago to the obvious present day. Just fkn luv it ?

Should have said he died after the fight. Worked for both of us in them days. He wanted to visit his dad every couple of weeks so we'd go halves on fuel. One of my biggest ever regrets of my life is i didn't keep in touch with his dad. I just couldn't handle talking about my mate . Loved him that much. Selfishness me me me .not thinking of the comfort to his old man.

Mate, I struggle with the loss of one of my best mates, who died 4th May, before our birthday's. I don't contact his sister either mate.
I just find it very hard to believe he's gone, and his last text.
"From one of your best mates growing up Rogie, hope you go up"
Glad we did "Bobby" this is for you.
Ùuuuuuuuuuuuuu!
Redddds!
